@Filiecs It wouldn't have been any problem with me, had it not been for the religion that was forced down my throat by my parents, forcibly making me watch the episodes centred about religion.
@Jelfes Ah, I see. My parents were more slack with it. Instead of them forcing religion down my throat they actually made me WANT to learn more about religion, leaving me with good memories about religion during my childhood. They also weren't all "This is evil" and actually gave things a try before they passed judgement on what I could and couldn't do.
Just to clear things up...cause this obviously means so much to you ponies, Relient K did the original song then Veggie Tales asked them if they could use it in their movie. :P And also, Jelfes, I totally agree with your last comment.
We've ponyfied Veggie Tales... What won't we Pony? And technically that was also ponyfieing Relient K so... darn, Bloodranz already made the joke. XD
I always loved the PTDDA and still have fond memories of Veggie Tales, that was a pleasant surprise. Took me back to my camp counselor days singing silly songs with the campers on the Ocean Wave. Good times... goooood times. XD
I'm sorry that it looks like most didn't really get these. But these were all right up my ally! This might be my favorite PMV-related post so far!
I used to watch the Justice League all the time, and that's by far my favorite Veggie Tales song. It's one of the few songs I can get all of my friends to sing. And Saints Row? Well, that's just cool.
Well, no... The original "Pirates Who Don't Do Anything" was a "Silly Songs" skit on the television show first. Then the band did a cover of it which was used for the credits of the later movie of the same name.
I'm also one of the few who knew of The Pirates Who Don't Do Anything long before VeggieTales did it. In fact, the original song was done in 2002 as I understand it.
You are NOT derping, that IS a VeggieTales song, as done by RelientK for a promotional CD (back before MP3s were the audio media of choice for the majority of the population) and this video is pretty much chock full of WIN and AWESOME!
Ok. As a fan of JLU, I've gotta say that #1 was a close second to #3 for my favorite PMV in this post. Both are well done. #2, meh, I don't really know much about Saint's Row, so I don't really get it, but it looked awesome all the same. But man, those last 10 seconds of the PLU one were just soooo epic.
1) Awesome and it definetly helps that FiM is one of the few shows with the cast size capable of pullig it off. Nicely done.
2)Heard of the game but never played it, virgin waters for me but overall good.
3)Only know of this through the commercials I saw for one of the movies. It's hard not to like or forget a name like the "Pirates that don't do anything". Never thought something related to Veggitales would get a cool rock number.

ReplyDeleteOh, okay, its a parody of a parody, I really didn't expect that.
ReplyDelete@wackyteen lololololololol
ReplyDelete#2 Wow, that was so unexpected as awesome!
ReplyDeleteLove the song for #3. Never heard that version before.
ReplyDelete@Bombedrumbum
ReplyDeleteYes. I think it's Relient K's cover.
I used to watch Veggie Tales all the time XD
Veggie Tales? Interesting.
ReplyDeleteParody of a parody? Paroception! (Yea, that makes no sense.)
I like the first one, it reminds me of what I used to watch back in the day. :D
aren't numbers one and two's titles switched in the embed (or listing)?
ReplyDeleteRofl, I'm gonna have to start switching to video 1 during each episode's intro, then come back to the show
ReplyDeleteYes, it's the Reliant K cover of the Veggie Tales song.
ReplyDeleteThey all were really well made but nothing really that stood out to me sort of feeling "I really like her....mane"
ReplyDeleteThat was my favorite song from Veggie Tales, and mixing it with ponies only made it more awesome.
ReplyDeleteOh no, Veggietales... *shivers*
ReplyDelete@Jelfes lololololololol
ReplyDeleteI guess they were switched a bit. I was referring to the Justice League intro.
ReplyDeleteAs for the picture, I thought that was a pretty hilarious part of the episode.
Noooo Luna. Fluttershy's not a doll. Poor fluttershy. Her face during that scene was just...
hilarious.
And the pirates who don't do anything is one of the greatest contributions veggietales has made towards humankind...
ReplyDeleteThose good. Especially #3. I love that song!
ReplyDeleteWhat's wrong with Veggie Tales? I used to watch those all the time as a kid...
ReplyDeleteRelient K+Vegitales+Ponys? YES!!!
ReplyDeletePonyTales! Good choice of scenes to go along with the music.
ReplyDeleteNow what have we learn today?
@thegamefilmguruman
ReplyDeleteAlso, it appears I am incapable of spelling.
@Filiecs It wouldn't have been any problem with me, had it not been for the religion that was forced down my throat by my parents, forcibly making me watch the episodes centred about religion.
ReplyDelete#1 Hmm, never seen that show. I surmise it's about superheros though. lol Decent video. :)
ReplyDelete#2 Not even seen that trailor. I'm batting a thousand today. :P Video didn't seem too shabby though.
#3 Oooh, Veggie Tales. lol I thought that sounded vaguely familiar. But I'm a bit too old for that show I think. Video was alright.
Relient K, Veggies, and Ponies?
ReplyDeleteThe fun has been tripled!!!
@Jelfes
ReplyDeleteAh, I see.
My parents were more slack with it. Instead of them forcing religion down my throat they actually made me WANT to learn more about religion, leaving me with good memories about religion during my childhood.

ReplyDelete#3 brings back good memories :) Ahhh Childhood.
ReplyDeleteRelient K + ponies? Awesome!
ReplyDeleteYEAHH!!!! Justice League!!! WOOOOOOO!!!

ReplyDelete@dyressi
ReplyDeleteWell, no... The original "Pirates Who Don't Do Anything" was a "Silly Songs" skit on the television show first. Then the band did a cover of it which was used for the credits of the later movie of the same name.
Waitwaitwaitwaitwaitwait... there's a ROCK version of The Pirates Who Don't Do Anything?!?!
ReplyDeleteHOW DID THAT SLIP PAST MY NOSTALGIA RADAR?!? D:
Veggie Tales... oh God that brings back memories... XD
Did anyone else notice that the beginning of number 2 was , I think, a MW3 reference.
ReplyDeleteI'm also one of the few who knew of The Pirates Who Don't Do Anything long before VeggieTales did it. In fact, the original song was done in 2002 as I understand it.
ReplyDeleteI'm too biased for number 1. I'm such a big fan of Justice League =D
ReplyDelete*Grins widely* Trevor has been waiting for Ponytales! THANK YOU WHOEVER DID NUMBER THREE! 8D Trevor owes you many free performances!

Wow, so I'm not the only person who's a VeggieTales fan here? That's cool.
