Hey Seth, I know that this isn't exactly the place to post, but the mlp:fim 1 year anniversary Mare-athon Hax Mega has been putting on had been going since 7am (PST): http://www.ustream.tv/channel/hax-mega-s-mlp-fim-season-2-countdown Huge lack of people for something that we put a bit of work into.
I liked the intermissions they had between clips in #1. P.S. Hot-tub foot... Why hasn't the Darth Vader thing been done before? Haha, 2:20 Spike is a teacher. WTF IS TRICKLE NIPPLE AND THICK URINE SYNDROME?! That do he cookin' by the book song is really easy for me to get stuck in my head. WHAT?! Scrotal migraine and and larval penis? The fuck, man, the fuck. Ummm, what? Don't let it get you down! Penis, penis, penis, penis...
@YeowzaMare Well, I'm certainly glad I'm not that, "jeffes," guy, that'd suck to be him...
I'm liking #2, the Gorillaz are awesome. The scene-lyric matcing was done great.
#3 Ah, so that's Sandstorm. Very well known song, just didn't know the name of it. Pinkie and Gummy were really the only ones that had scenes that fit the song. Anyways, that was pretty well done, nostalgia was had
@tectobotWould you and YeowzaMare prefer me to lose all relevancy to the posts and just post, "first," every time? I think not, and I would prefer not to as well, besides, it's funny seeing the attempts such as that of WWRDD?
Ah, #2 was great. So let's see... Twilight is 2D, and Discord is De La Soul. I'm going to say this makes Pinkie Noodle, Applejack Russel, and Rainbow Dash is Dell. And sorry Rarity, I guess you're Murdock. Aaaaannd... Fluttershy is the tree on the floating island. That's all I got.
Oh Sweet Celestia on a pogo stick I laughed. Especialy the for the Lil Jon/Layztown mashup being included. I want to see someone do that full length. Because that. Was. Hilarious.
Not a huge fan of the song in #2, but the pmv was very well done. #3 disappointed me a bit. I'm sick of that song, but I thought it would make a good remix. It was too repetitive in my opinion though.
That first video was pretty good. Some great references too.
#2 Ooooh, Gorillaz! Been a little while since I've heard that song. Even though I have that CD. lol Good song and good video to go along with it. :D
#3 Sandstorm is getting kinda old now. 1999, I do believe. I remember when it was new. Awesome song still. Though it did get so over-played for a long while in the early 2000's after the masses finally found it. lol Probably one of the songs that made me look into DJing. Great song, great video. Except for that little bit where the opening FiM theme (I think that's what it was) played in the background. Didn't really sound right to me.
@Jelfes Actually, one of the things I like about EQD is that you and a couple of others so consistently grab the first comment with a post that actually has some semblance of content; I think that's helped keep down the number of posters who only want to post 'First' first.
#1: That was random; more surprisingly, I actually got a few of the cultural references in it. Hooray for Gumby brain surgeon and Stanley Spadowski! There was enough funny stuff in this compilation (keelhauling, lazer firing) to make it worth watching.
#2: I probably would've liked it better if I was more familiar with the song, but it had some good lipsync in it.
#3: First time I've ever heard that song; fun song, fun video, great use of Gummy around the 2:20 mark.

ReplyDeleteLovely selection!
ReplyDelete#1 is a bit random but it does have a unique character.
I really enjoyed the Gorillaz and Sandstorm was really well matched to the visuals!
Nice everypony!
Twilight is the personification of adorkable.

ReplyDeleteOoh, I had high hopes upon seeing the name for #2...didn't quite live up to my expectations, but it had its moments for sure.
ReplyDelete@Viraus You think that's bad? Im allergic to all indoor toilets! :(
ReplyDeletePlus, i totally approve of the adorkble image of Twilight. yes indeed.
Plus, yay for my first Pony post on EqD! Here's to many more. I propose a toast...
"It's dangerous to go alone, take this." :D

ReplyDeleteThe Gnarls Barkley one is good. And while I love Sandstorm, the video could have used better synchronization to the music.
ReplyDeleteAlso, I do love those PMVhell things. Just love 'em. When they're done well like this, anyway. Where'd you get that mix of the Super Metroid boss mix?
More Gorillaz crossovers?
ReplyDeleteYAY!
@Mitchell Bonds Thats actualy my song. Well as much as it can be mine, I just took the original track from metroid and added DnB'ish drums.
ReplyDeleteAlways love Feel Good Inc: didn't miss the video for it what with the ponies and all.
ReplyDeleteAnd that is a VERY unexpected compliment :)
@Pinkie Cake
ReplyDeleteGnarls Barkley? I think you mean Gorillaz?
Yes someone synced Gorillaz and Ponies, very happy right now.
ReplyDelete#1 and #2 were SO AWESOME!
ReplyDelete2 was good, especially the discord parts
ReplyDeletePonies and Gorillaz? MORE PLEASE!
ReplyDelete#1 WTF BOOOOOOM!!!
ReplyDeleteDarth vader scene: *Pinkie's voice* A-HA! I KNEW IT!
Erecting a Applespencer!
Firing mah lazor? I was expecting TASTE THE RAINBOW.
2 and 3 were OK...1 though...

#2 was amazing! The lip sync was perfect and I love how appropriate Discord's lines were. Great job!

#1 was excellent - I keep coming back to EQD because of the high quality-filters!
ReplyDeleteToo much dubstep in that first vid to even finish it.

Gummy carries #3
ReplyDelete#1: I think I lacked connection to the material. Nice editing work, though.
ReplyDelete#2: Good lipsync and choice of imagery. Me gusta.
#3: Hadn't heard this track in YEARS. Nicely done, too.
Quite fuuny indeed!
ReplyDeleteThe second gave me chills.
