First up, EPIC PONY RAP BATTLES. It's been done in the past, but I'm taking this shit to a whole new level. With the help of my friend Mitti, we'll be constructing pony-based rap battles using characters from the show. First up: obligatory Twilight Sparkle VS The Great and Powerful Trixie. HOWEVER... Given my limited vocal range as far as voice acting goes, even I cannot do all of this by myself. That is where you all come in. I'm seeking out voice actors (preferably female as I need them the most) who would be willing to do the voices for these rap battles. All the raps will be written by me, and a demo performance will be provided for the actors themselves. I'm looking for a good concept of flow, good mic quality (though I can work around this) and the drive to get it done in an orderly and quick fashion!
I'm used to messing with songs on the Nintendo DSi/3DS to make guys sound like girls and vice versa, but I never bothered messing with Dream On... until now. Wonder what else can be made to sound like AJ...

At first I thought #3 was sung by somepony else, which lead me to be very impressed. Then I saw that it was just sped up of the original. Either way it's still very cool, great song, and does sound a lot like Applejack.

ReplyDelete...but darn it, I've railed on PMVs for lesser problems. Could've used better scene choice. Lip syncing was ok. Effects were ok. Ultimately it felt too much like a bunch of random scenes of Applejack; like some places you didn't know what to put and just stuck random things there. It's not ALL like that; I really liked the part with the lasso, and a few other parts.
Damn good idea, decent execution, but needs to convey the message stronger.

ReplyDeleteWow, I just have to say, I never would have thought Aerosmith sped up would sound like Applejack. That's not something I would have ever even thought to try. And it's amazing.
ReplyDeleteThis being one of my little brother's favorite Aerosmith songs and one of his fav songs in general, I'm going to make him watch this. Even though whenever I mention MLP he looks at me like I've grown another head. Maybe this will change his judgmental little mind. :P
