I would have been all over Archeology if Twilight Sparkle could be my assistant. DaVca on Deviant Art has put together a gallery of 50 photo manipulations of various historical events combined with ponies, including one short flash video of Twilight in SPAAACE.
Check out the entire gallery here!
And some bonus pinkie after the break just for the hell of it, completely unrelated.

Wow. Just.....wow.
ReplyDeleteHahahaha, House video.
ReplyDeleteHahahah, Oddish.
ReplyDeleteYep, Ive seen these types of pictures everywhere.
ReplyDeleteWell, really. How could you feasibly respond to that?
ReplyDeletei'll view these later.
ReplyDeletebusy with Tf2. <.<
House is supposed to walk in with a boombox in that scene (with MLP music!), but this is new to me. xD
ReplyDeletepinkie pie.... 'shakes head and facehoofs' bombededrum... 'shakes head and highfives for stopping the firsters'
ReplyDeleteNow why can't history be this epic in normal life?
ReplyDeleteThos pictures are awesome. love the Lyra on the I-beam.
ReplyDeleteAnd if Laugher really is the best medicine then there should be a Pinkie Pie in every hospital.
If only there was a way to remake the Patch Adams movie with Pinkie instead.
ReplyDeleteI do like the photo manips, and I mean no crticism of DaVca, but does anyone else see the 'Rainbow Dash in the Warsaw Ghetto' as skirting the bounds of good taste?
ReplyDelete8th Pinkie Pie XD
ReplyDeleteI love what has become of this
ReplyDeleteGotta agree with Ardashi above, the Warsaw Ghetto pic is rather... distasteful. Though I'm mainly annoyed because I would see Dash fighting the Nazi scum to the end with the brave fighters of Poland, not being corralled like that! Though this is made up for by the awesomeness of the picture of her raising the Soviet flag over the Reichstag.

ReplyDeletei love the lighting effects and shadowing done with these pictures, and the pinkie pie thing is awesome as well.
ReplyDeleteLove these.
ReplyDeleteI especially like the fact there the artist has links for further information about all of the events that are happening. Some the pictures felt a little stretched, and some of then were simply amazing, such as Lyra on the skyscraper construction, and Fluttershy with Jane Goodall.
ReplyDeleteAlso, next time I end up in the hospital I so want Pinkie Pie there to cheer me up.
I need to get back to watching House again.
ReplyDeleteDamn, I haven't seen some of those pictures in ages. The Kent State one with Fluttershy made me tear up a bit.
ReplyDeletePonies really CAN make everything better.
These photos are very well done. I was always fond of History, the Iwo Jima one is fantastic, reminds me of my grandfather.
ReplyDeleteThat is a spectacular gallery. definite watch. I particularly liked the image of Twilight with Carl Sagan... So fitting.
ReplyDeleteHope you get well.. Very soon
ReplyDeleteHope you get well o yes i do
hope you improve soon being sick sucks
hope you haveee nutting sear--i--us
:D
Lyra atop a skyscraper was crazy fun. THis was a great gallery.
ReplyDeleteHistory just got 20% cooler.
ReplyDeleteOh, and random pony-ish trivia: I saw a news program's coverage of the new 787 jet's first commercial flight. They were showing off the fact that the lighting could be made to display a rainbow pattern, and mentioned not knowing just what it was for. My first thought was that someone had been channeling Rainbow Dash. Maybe they'll use it to execute Sonic Rainbooms on flights!
Rainbow Dash in ww2 ftw!
ReplyDeleteI love these excellent photo manips.
ReplyDeleteAnd I absolutely love that video. If I were sick in the hospital, Pinkie dancing outside the door with funny music playing would make me smile too. :)
The gallery was great. I laughed at the boxing Rarity and Lyra on a skyscraper. But. the Pinkie Pie video.....hilarious xD
ReplyDeleteIt took me 35 seconds into the video for me to crack up
ReplyDeleteThat whole gallery is fantastic!
ReplyDeleteOh, and Pinkie Pie being laughter incarnate, per usual.
rofl at the video
ReplyDeleteThose were all fantastic, well done.
ReplyDeleteThese are awesome, but surely Dr Hooves should be in at least some of them?
ReplyDeleteI have seen pinkie pie with winston churchil my life is complet I can die now
ReplyDeleteI saw these a little while ago. They are just as amazing now as they were then.
ReplyDeleteI like them all, even if the ghettos was a bit distasteful, but hey it happened, I wasn't there, you weren't there, and a lot of people that went through WW2 are probably all dead by now.
ReplyDeleteTime to start some ruckus, who wants WW3?
Epic!!!
ReplyDeleteMost of these were good.
ReplyDeleteSome of them, such as the Warsaw Ghetto and the Hitler one... Probably could have afforded to have been left not done.
SMG13 also did a Discord M.D. but put that one for the hell of it.
ReplyDeleteI salute him for putting his own spin on that meme!
Ha, DaVca is from Czech republic. Buck yeah!
ReplyDeletehaha Priceless. priceless..
ReplyDeleteYAY FANIMATION... ... AND PHOTOSHOP TOO
ReplyDeleteHouse: It's not Lupus it's Pinkus you morons!
ReplyDeleteThat picture gallery is brilliant.
ReplyDeleteAHHHHWWWWWW , thats just Awesome ^^
ReplyDeleteOther bronies that know their way around Photoshop always make my day. ^3^
ReplyDeleteI'm surprised no one jumped through the glass to hug her.
@Synyk
ReplyDeleteAmerica.
Wow. Is it just a little strange that when I watched this, that Pink Floyd's darkside of the moon came on the radio?
ReplyDelete@Blackbelt
ReplyDeleteIt is. Pay attention in history class.
Unrelated, but still awesome.
ReplyDeleteThese were all really well done. I prefer the more light-hearted ones (I love the ones with Pinkie and Dali!), though. I know the artist wasn't trying to be disrespectful, but I have to agree with other commenters that some of them (like the Warsaw ghetto) were definitely toeing a line.
ReplyDeleteThese where excelent!!!
ReplyDelete@MasonAlcat=^.^=
ReplyDeleteHe amazes me with every one of them.
ReplyDeleteI loved all the War pictures they edited. The marine holding Applebloom reminded me of that post awhile back about Rainbow Dash's birthday
ReplyDeleteThis fandom is full of such great and imaginative people. It is amazing what ponies inspire.
ReplyDelete1. Ponies in history are pure win! It's too bad quite a few of them are sad.
ReplyDelete2. House is one of my favorite shows, so this made me smile.
Haheha, I could watch that for hours.
ReplyDeleteBeyond awesome! So much talent in rotoscoping and photomanipulation.
