I'm the guy who made number three, and I know it really isn't the best, It was actually my first try at making music ever. So if you wouldn't mind, could tell me what you didn't like, I could definitely learn from my mistakes. As your name insists, can you give me your analysis?
#1 - Really liked this one. Of course I've liked most of what art attack puts out there. :)
#2 - Ok that's pretty clever (You mad Twi?). Probably would have done better with a female vocalist who sounded at least a little like Twilight.
@Flippord - Kudos on being willing to put your stuff out there, that takes guts (and I mean that). I'm by no means a talented songwriter, but I've been in some bands and I've written my share of music. I think the biggest issues with the song for me were:
1)It lacks structure, there isn't really a clear beginning middle or end so there isn't a hook to bring the listener in.
2)The sound doesn't fill out the track, so it comes off feeling thin. That doesn't mean that you need to add a bunch of stuff to the arrangement, it's in the way it's mixed down. If your audio software does compression you may want to try adding that.
Song writing is hard - I hope you stick with it. :)
I liked #3. It wasn't super complex or anything, but it had a nice melody. Quite good for a first effort. Now go, develop your talents and make amazing things for us to praise you over.
I really enjoyed number 3, while the name doesn't seem to match the song itself gave off a nice ambiance. And the transition at the 2 minute mark was fantastic. My only qualm is I felt the piano closing was a bit too upbeat and fast for the rest of the song. But overall great song, keep it up Flippord.
#1 - I lost interest at about 1:40 maybe sooner. I listened to the whole thing but you can shorten some bits. *thumbs up* #2 - lol #3 - Good first try! (b^^b) Keep practicing!

ReplyDelete@Rainbowdash lol, nope!
ReplyDeleteWords cannot describe how much I love #3
ReplyDelete@Lord Bloomberg
ReplyDeleteDammit, I meant 2. :C
Oh my god, 2 is excellent.
ReplyDeleteMe gusta #1
ReplyDeleteHot damn. The first song started off a bit too radio-friendly, but did it ever beef up by that climax at 4:17
ReplyDelete#2 was a good song choice, but the lyrics were a bit off from the show's tone, and the singer's voice just bothered me. Too nasally.
ReplyDelete#3 Wasn't bad, but I'm not sure it really fit the title.
#3 was too lo-fi synth-y for my tastes. Each individual note/drum hit made me cringe; I couldn't really pay attention the actual song as a result.
ReplyDelete#2 was quite well done.
#1 isn't at all my preferred style of music, so I can't judge.
#1 Pretty good remix. I think I still prefer the original, but I liked this as well.
ReplyDelete#2 What am I listening to?! Lawl. This is kinda funny. Not bad and fun lyrics. :P
#3 I kinda like this. Sounds pretty decent.
Damn I love pony music.
ReplyDelete@Twilight Sparkle
ReplyDeleteWell, as the song sings, are ya mad Twi?
