The third one is actually from BaldDumboRat, out resident Derpy Hooves voice actor. Expect the normal crazyness!
1.) Dreams of Eternal Generosity
2.) Dethonator Befriends ChainAlgorithm - Little Girl on a Scooter
3.) The Doctor & Derpy's Karaoke Night [Seperate Ways]
#1 was another one of those songs where I didn't hear anything pony related, though I do get the theme, it might have very well been a song played for Fluttershy or many other things. That being said, #2 is pretty much the same way except that I could imagine it being played for RD or Scoots, or, it just being some random song.
@Bombedrumbum FINALLY SOMEONE OTHER THAN ME NOTICES! Me and my friend have been worried that everyone forgot (including Eq Daily)! because we haven't seen anything on it or even a hint.
Im pretty sure that the next post will be it, considering that it will be (correct me if im wrong) 12:00 in Arizona, where I think I remember Seth saying that he lives there, if not at the exact air time of the first episode
I wasn't all too impressed with a majority of the first one, to be honest. Sounded a little boring and maybe too simplistic. There were one or two parts I thought were nice.
Second is pretty awesome. Maybe just a little too... metal, for me? Maybe? Dunno, but I can't deny it's pretty good.
Hah, Journey, nice. I like Journey, good song choice. Think the Doctor's voice may be a little off, but that was certainly fun to listen to regardless. The playful banter between them was great and fun. <3
#1 - Great job Steak! EqD, nice! *pats on back* #2 - Sounds like a bunch of other rock bands... like Linkin' Park 'n stuff... So I guess that makes it good? I don't listen to that genre much but it sounds really good. :P #3 - AWESOME! BRILLIANT! BONE CHILLING! THE SORTS THAT THE QUEEN HERSELF WOULD LISTEN TOO!
@Octavia Honestly I didn't like it either. I wrote it for a Toastbeard because it was the only thing I was inspired to do, and I thought it turned out well considering the type of stuff I usually put on staff paper. It is great to see peoples reactions though!
#1: Nicely done, and it does somehow seem to fit the Element of Generosity, but I have to confess that I didn't find it to be anything special. Still worth a listen to see if it's your cup of tea. (I've never been a fan of Baroque music, which seems to be a major inspiration for this piece, so that may be my problem.)
#2: I'm not a fan of heavy metal, and can take only so much hard rock. This hit the sweet spot. While not specifically pony, as others have pointed out, I can see Scootaloo inspiring this song. (Rainbow Dash too, to a lesser extent.) And why is Scootaloo so perfect for crossover images?
#3: I've never heard the original song, so I have nothing to compare this to, but it was a lot of fun, and very accurate to this particular fanon characterization of these characters. The Doctor's discourse on the origins of karaoke was great. Just what I needed to wash the taste of "Applejack's Grief" out of my mouth.
omg that 3rd one cracked me up! I genuinely laughed quite a bit near the end especially the ending XD great job Derpgirl and Doctor! Would die to see that animated XD
anyways #2 was nice particularly after 1:07 and before 2:40. I think it's too softcore for Scoots though XD too slow and not LOUD enough lol

ReplyDeleteFINALLY SOMEONE OTHER THAN ME NOTICES! Me and my friend have been worried that everyone forgot (including Eq Daily)! because we haven't seen anything on it or even a hint.
@Flare Tumble I can't say it yet for me cause then I'd be lying since it's still the ninth where I live.

ReplyDeleteEeyup, and, yeah, that's where he lives, I remember him talking about his many adventures over to the AC unit at broNYcon due to the humidity.
ReplyDelete@Jelfes yup, thats where I heard it too. And now to go door-to-door in every house in Arizona like good little Mormons looking for- I MEAN....
ReplyDelete#2 was awesome! And Ditsy Doo, you just sang my favorite Journey song amazingly!
ReplyDeletethere ain't nothing like a Journey song to live your spirits.
ReplyDeleteDoctor whooves rocks the mic when he puts his soul into it.

#2 has some familiar parts to it... Linkin Park in the beginning? Correct me if I am wrong.
ReplyDelete#2, I'm not sure where some bits are comng from but was nice.
ReplyDelete#3, I'm not a big fan of this Derpy voice so I dunno...
#1 - Great job Steak! EqD, nice! *pats on back*

The 3rd song just really makes me want an episode devoted to background ponies, especially if theres an awesome song.
ReplyDeleteHow awesome it would be if BaldDumboRat would do official VA for Derpy?
ReplyDeleteMan can dream...
I so love the doctor and derpy singing.
ReplyDeleteomg that 3rd one cracked me up! I genuinely laughed quite a bit near the end especially the ending XD great job Derpgirl and Doctor! Would die to see that animated XD
ReplyDeleteanyways #2 was nice particularly after 1:07 and before 2:40. I think it's too softcore for Scoots though XD too slow and not LOUD enough lol
If canonical derpy doesn't sound anything like BaldDumboRat, I will be very sad.
ReplyDeleteWho ever does this Derpy voice needs to be hired by Hasbro NOW!
ReplyDelete#3 is the greatest thing.
