Apparently pony is kicking ass in more than just financial reports. Friendship is Magic just pulled off "Best Animated Series" over at Cablefax. I couldn't agree more!
To all the people who are have worked on the show, you guys/gals really have pulled off something amazing. I don't think anyone thought a My Little Pony revamp would be this epic a year ago.
Onward to more awards! We will take over the world at this rate!

ReplyDeleteFiM should win an Oscar or something
Yeah! :D
ReplyDeleteYou know what this calls for A PARTY!
ReplyDeleteFrist
ReplyDeleteWho didn't see this coming, RIGHT!?
ReplyDeletePONIES. ARE. THE. BEST. THING. EVER.
ReplyDelete"Was there ever any doubt?"
ReplyDeleteOr an Emmy...whatever the hell these things are
ReplyDeletePhilip Bacon Pabst should earn an award for having the best middle name.
ReplyDeleteAlso YAAAAAAAAAAY!
Applebloom reacts to this news.
ReplyDeletehttp://www.youtube.com/watch?v=jJR1Ur2Q_jY
I wish my middle name was bacon
ReplyDeleteYeah! Another victory for the ponies!
ReplyDeleteAWWWW YEAH
ReplyDelete@Desert Rose Unfortunately there isn't a movie. Yet.
ReplyDeleteI would say Emmy, but let's face it, the Emmys are a joke anymore.
Hayray!
ReplyDeleteGood, good...
ReplyDeleteCableFAX is now 20% cooler.
ReplyDeleteVery nice!!!! MLP just happens to be the greatest thing ever, as was proved by this report
ReplyDeleteI don't know what is Cablefax but YAY!
ReplyDeleteWhelp, time to party.
ReplyDeletehttp://www.youtube.com/watch?v=sryqaS07WaU
Fantastic! :D This makes me extremely happy.
ReplyDeleteDamn right this show won "best animated series"
ReplyDelete:fluttershyyay:
Well, there are times to be modest but this was expected by most of us here. Let's reach higher now folks!
ReplyDeleteProps to the guys working on the show by the way, should never forget about them.
This is how we'll end up watching ponies on prime time spots when the simpsons are gone.
ReplyDeletePlus, you can't really say 'a year ago' anymore.
Yay for the show being so awesome.
ReplyDeletepff, obvious award is obvious. Why hasn't MLP won every single award on that category yet?
ReplyDeleteBuahahaha this was a key step towards global pony domination
ReplyDeleteCongrats to the MLP team! You guys deserve it!
ReplyDeleteI dunno quite how much this means. The other finalists were Archer (which I had never even heard of until now) and Transformers Prime, which FiM couldn't possibly lose. No idea how many initial entrants there were or if it included other cartoons with actual popularity like Adventure Time.
ReplyDeleteI mean, I feel it deserves second-best cartoon in the past 5 years easily after Avatar: The Last Airbender, but it'd mean more if Cablefax actually took the category seriously and rounded up some actual competition.
What did you expect?
ReplyDeleteAnd it goes to whom it rightly belongs. I can't think of any other animated series that has happened this year that has impressed me as much as MLP.
ReplyDeleteWooohooooooooooo
ReplyDeleteIf simple passing it on telling MLP:FiM is SO AWESOME, then let them win awards such as this to be known.
ReplyDeleteWe knew that this was going somewhere, bout time the team gets some credit =)
WOOT!
"Was there ever any doubt?" - The GREAT and POWERFUL Trixie
ReplyDeleteyay!!
ReplyDeletenow i wonder what other shows were in that competition?
Hooray for Cablefax, whatever the hell that is!
ReplyDeleteYAY! Never heard of the Cablefax awards, but congrats!
ReplyDeleteOh my! Sounds AWESOME.
ReplyDeleteawesome! FIM for th win
ReplyDeletefuck year
ReplyDeleteActually Archer is a very good show, but a complete 180 from MLP. I highly recommend checking out the first season, it is full of some great one-liners. However, the best definitely won here!
ReplyDeleteyay.
ReplyDeleteSeth, post things on the hour, please. I only come here on the hour.
@Lupus Albus
ReplyDeleteArcher is one of the funniest shows on tv right now, and Prime is probably the best Transformers series ever.
Neither one comes close to FiM though.
@wackyteen He normally does, but when there's news or something big, like this, then he posts it as soon as he receives it.
ReplyDeleteHurray for Studio B! Time for a party, everyone!
ReplyDelete@CitationNeeded
ReplyDeleteWhere is Pinkie Pie when we need her? D=
Never heard of these guys. Whatever; and award's an award I guess.
ReplyDeleteAlso the snobby part of me is taking offense at calling the show "epic." That word's lost all meaning. You're welcome to buck the snobby part of me in the face, though.
Someone call Pinkie Pie, this calls for a PARTY!
ReplyDeleteOne Step Closer to take over the world.
ReplyDeleteWell damn, thats awesome!
ReplyDeleteyay...YAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAY WOOOOOOOOOOHOOOOOOOOOOOO
ReplyDeleteim happy
"Hey, you know what this calls for? A PARTY!" -Pinkie Pie.
ReplyDeleteOh my gosh, why does this post not have like, over 400 comments, this is some amazing news!
ReplyDeletehell yeah i hope the hub keeps mlp up for at least 5 seasons considering how well its doing
ReplyDeleteThis makes me happy to be a Brony
ReplyDeleteAAAWWWWWWWW YEA!!!
ReplyDeleteCool.
ReplyDeleteNow release Phoe.
I am happy but I am not surprised. We all know it's a wonderful show full of quality and inspiration.
ReplyDeleteWOOHOO! LETS THROW A PARTY!
ReplyDeletelol more awards means, more seasons. i'm ok with this.
ReplyDeleteHooooraaayy!! :D It was only inevitable, now to aim for the best animated show ALL TIME >:D
ReplyDeleteThe future for Bronies keeps getting better.
ReplyDeleteCongratulations MLP:FiM!
ReplyDeleteWow, it beat out Transformers Prime, and even Archer!
ReplyDeleteAs much as I love Prime and Archer, MLP beats them both.
A round of sarsaparilla for everyone!
First, awards.
ReplyDeleteThen, THE WORLD! MWAHAHAHAHAHAhahah...hehe...he...sorry
good. *creepysmile*
ReplyDeleteI'm so proud. I love each and every brony out there. I've never been happier to be a part of a group of any kind until the day I started watching MLP:FiM.
ReplyDeleteOh cool! And to see this awesome event in pony in person one only needed to pay...$400.00.
ReplyDeleteSeriously?
I have no idea how significant this is since I've never heard of Cablefax before. Does it actually have some weight behind it, or just some random group?
ReplyDeleteThe equivalent of the Oscars for animation are the Annies. I wonder if Hasbro has submitted MLP for Annie consideration?
ReplyDeleteNow looking forward to a daytime emmy
ReplyDelete"Heh heh, was there -ever- any doubt?"
ReplyDeleteHere's to many more awards hopefully!
This calls for...
ReplyDelete...a PARTY!
SEASON 6 NOW CONFIRMED FOR MY LITTLE PONY: FRIENDSHIP IS MAGIC!
ReplyDeleteI wonder how many seasons there will be.
I'm betting on 8.
+2 to that made by the community after Hasbro stops making it.
And then, a successor to FIM will appear. G5? Who knows; it might be good.
this calls for some celebratory cake!
ReplyDeleteI like Archer more tbh, but still cool.
ReplyDeleteI actually yelled TESTIFY and sang the song by Rage Against The Machine after I saw this (I love RATM) )/^3^\(
ReplyDeleteI'm not quite celebrating yet. I've never heard of this thing, don't know how big it is. But the ponies are the best.
ReplyDeleteSo... It won best animated series out of 3 shows, the other two being some show called archer archer and... Hub's own animated transformers series.
ReplyDeleteAwell, still fun!
What I know is:
ReplyDeleteMLP: FiM is best animated series in the world of all time OF ALL TIME
don't bring up anything, I know of it and think its terrible if it ain't PONIES!
The biggest reason for winning is the genderly diverse community and great sites like these.
ReplyDeleteBut then again, I've never seen a transformers prime daily site
@getoman10
ReplyDeleteOh, and I forgot to mention all the fan-related comics(My favorite), Stories, Drawings, and even letting fans make their own personal ones.
Yay!
ReplyDeleteFirst the internet
next THE WORLD
*fluttershy crazy laugh*
Woooooooooooo!!!! Woo! Woo! Woo! Wooooooooooooooooo!!!!!
ReplyDelete@CharginChuck I WILL FIGHT YOU! ARMADA WAS BEST TRANSFORMERS SERIES...
ReplyDeleteStarscream is best transformer and Armada had the most "Human" reaction between the Decepticons and the "Kindest" incarnation of Megatron, Armada took the Idea of not Good Vs. Evil but Idealism Vs. Pragmatism for the endless battle between the Autobots and decepticons.
Shattered Glass is a close second with Animated as a less close third.
Congrats studio B
Thanks for sharing. Status shared with all Facebook friends!
ReplyDeleteI... really can't get very excited when I've never even heard of this
ReplyDelete@DRTJR Sorry I have to stop you here, Armada was one of the worst seasons.
ReplyDeleteG1 Transformers was and always be the best of the series. Transformers Animated is literally "the" worst season right under the Unicron trilogy.
And congrats to MLP, in the immortal words of Fluttershy. Yay!
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=DLTZctTG6cE
~yay~
ReplyDeletewhatever cableFAX is :P
~raises his hooves in the air like he just don't care~
ReplyDeletewoohoo!
Awesome! :D
ReplyDeleteCongratulations to FiM for the award, and congratulations to Bacon Pabst for having the manliest name ever.
ReplyDeleteWE TAKIN' OVAR!!!!
ReplyDeleteYeah, thats what im talkin' bout
ReplyDeletebro hooves everypony, don't leave me hangin'
*raises hoove*

ReplyDeleteYES ONE STEP CLOSER TO WORLD DOMINATION AHHAHAHAHAHAHAH!
ReplyDeleteI just thought it was awesome that both of my favorite animated shows, MLP:FiM and Archer, both got nominated. Yay, I have taste!
ReplyDeleteBut what makes that pairing so especially interesting is the fact that Archer and MLP:FiM are, in essence, polar opposites. One is an upbeat, beautifully animated bout of family entertainment with strong emphasis upon friendship, morals, and values. The other is a cynical, more rigidly animated piece of mature-themed humor that emphasizes conflict, insults, and sarcastic jabs.
Not to say Archer is a bad show. As mentioned previously, it's one of my favorites. But its focus is more on its dialog and humor than other elements MLP:FiM excels at like animation and world building. They are, and I mean this in the sincerest sense, polar opposites. So it goes to show that even if your show's very foundation is wildly different from others, it won't stop it from being good.
YES! YES!
ReplyDeleteGo Pony!
ReplyDelete@DeusXMachina Brohoof! :D
ReplyDeleteThis is why I am proud of being a huge fan of MLP. :D
ReplyDeleteyay
ReplyDeleteAwesome!
ReplyDeleteIt's not too long until we take over every single award out there. Even the Grammies!
...
Well, maybe not the Grammies.
@James Corck
ReplyDeleteHonestly, I can see MLP:FiM winning a Grammy for its soundtrack quite easily. Winning an Oscar for a MLP:FiM movie? That's the award I don't see happening in my lifetime.
Yay.
ReplyDeleteBest awesomest show evar!
Hurray, MLP won a award from something nobody has heard of. Like we need proof about how awesome this show is, but it is nice to have some if we need it.
ReplyDeleteOF COURSE! >:D
ReplyDeleteWin the Annies! I need vengeance for Spongebob beating Avatar in the writing department!
ReplyDeleteWHEEEEEEEEEEEEW!
ReplyDeleteThat's probably good, I've never heard of Cablefax...
ReplyDeleteBest show in years methinks
Epic winning
ReplyDelete@Laurence Brown
ReplyDeleteWell the hypothetical FiM you speak of could win an Oscar in the best animated feature category. The real challenge is a My Little Pony stage show earning a Tony.
OH YEAH!!!! HAHAHAHA... Let's see if any other show can do that!
ReplyDeleteYes yes yes yes yes yes yes yes yes yes yes yes yes yes yes yes yes yes yes yes yes yes ....
ReplyDeleteBig congrats to all for making a fabulous series that spreads the magic of friendship all over the world :-)
CableFax's press release on the awards mentioned bronies and stated that this version is 'infinitely better than the original'
ReplyDeleteThe brief write-up is on page 13 here: http://www.cablefax.com/Assets/File/CFD_101811_MidDay_lr.pdf
So, I did some initial research... what do you bronies think of gunning for the Annual Gemini awards? The latest entry that won in the "Best Animated Program or Series" category was Hot Wheels Battle Force 5... there was no nomination for MLP:FiM, but I'm uncertain as to whether the Hub even set forth its collection of shows for judging. Of course, if MLP was submitted for entry and wasn't selected, there's no helping that.
ReplyDeleteThere's also the Banff World Television Awards presented at their World Media Festival in Canada. That'd be cool if we won an award there as well.
