For those watching FiM the cool way, expect to tune in an hour later (and get some sleep!). New episodes on Saturday will now air at 10:00 AM EST instead of 9:00 AM EST starting on the 17th of October. (Note: Episode 3 will still be at the same 9:00 AM EST time )

I thought that was just the fourth episode. That the next one would air as it has before.
ReplyDeletewhat time is that in GMT?
ReplyDeleteI'm kinda glad to hear this, that time works a little better for me. I won't have to be up quite as early, especially when I'm usually up late as it is. :P
ReplyDeletethats 12 am in australia
ReplyDeleteDarn, now I have to stay up an extra hour later than the usual six I stay up for, for the new episode!
ReplyDeleteNO! I... I work at 9 AM (Eastern Time) on Saturday! Getting up and watching the show with my sister was the only thing that kept me going and what got me through the day! This sucks! >.<
ReplyDeleteThank god, I can sleep.
ReplyDeleteUgh, gotta stay up till 4:30 AM now? I really hope I'm not working on Saturdays.
ReplyDeleteExtra bad since I'm usually so tired from D&D on Fridays.
We need The Hub in Australia.
ReplyDeleteI'm sick of waiting for YouTube uploads.
Twelve in the morning... Not sure if want.
ReplyDeleteAwesome, this actually works better for me :)
ReplyDelete6 pm in Moscow
ReplyDeleteBlarg! I will miss the episodes due to work!!
ReplyDeleteWalmart y u no let me watch ponies??
Seriously tho, that gets me through my day.
Woo! More sleep!
ReplyDeleteI'll probably wait longer for it to hit youtube though. Higher quality than the Streams.
Ooh yeah, this is about the perfect time for me.
ReplyDelete4pm in germany :)
ReplyDelete12PM for the live streams and 12:30 until I get any sleep at all...still, at least you americans are going to get sleep. So it works out better in the long run.
ReplyDeleteAlways kinda skeptic of kids shows premiering at 10 or later because by then the kids have usually lost interest in watching TV. Still, gotta be some reason for it. Any info on what's going to replace its timeslot?
So the episodes will now be uploaded later on the internet? Boo! But at least the West Coasters now only have to wake up before 7am.
ReplyDeleteI'll be able to get some sleep... mainly because I pulled all-nighters to watch episodes 1 & 2, they came on half an hour after I usually go to bed. I'm not about to push that for another hour though. And with how fast people have been getting the shows up onto YouTube, and with how quickly those get posted her (Thanks everypony responsible for that!), well, I'll get to watch it right after I wake up. No better way to start one's day, right?
ReplyDeleteThanks again for passing this information along to us Seth!
@Twilight Flopple
ReplyDeleteI for one second that motion.
rats... that means what is already 3am for me is now.... 4 am... sigh... I guess i'll just have to wait for the youtube release...
ReplyDeleteSigh... well, this just proves I shouldn't be up that late...
ReplyDeleteSweet now I don't have to wake up at 6 am to watch the live stream.
ReplyDelete1 more hour of sleep ftw!
means i have to wait to 12:00 now?
ReplyDeleteleast its on a Saturday.
I feel for my bronies around the world that have to wait till 4am I swear hasbro purposly makes it hard for country's besides The United States
Nice 10AM > 9PM for prime saturday morning cartoon viewing.
ReplyDeleteMeh, I'll still end up going back to bed whether it's 8am or 9am. Sorry to all the people that this messes up.
ReplyDeleteI'm just glad I taught myself over the course of episodes 1 and 2 of season 2 to wait until the at least 2 PM for a 1080p YouTube upload (I'm in Ontario so the show would hypothetically air at 9 here, to give you some perspective).
ReplyDeleteWe don't get The Hub in Canada anyway. Everybody knows Treehouse TV sucks, and that's the only station that carries it at all up here. Censorship + weeks upon weeks behind on FiM episodes, among the station's other problems.
Anyway, after I realized I spent a full day waiting for a 1080p YouTube upload and doing little else, I realized I had my priorities screwed up. The PROPER Episode 1 of S2 ended up being uploaded at about 2 AM the following day, anyway.
All the best, folks.
@Pocketguns2
ReplyDelete3pm I believe.
@Twilight Flopple
ReplyDeleteI always watch it on Synctube for that reason.
Upside: Means I can sleep in and there'll be another showing around 12 noon. Double the double amount of pony for the weekend.
ReplyDeleteDownside: Deltora Quest is leaving again. Was hoping it get to the end and atleast show the missing episodes.
having to wait for YouTube streams at 2am in the morning... NOOOOOOOO
ReplyDeleteI HAVE TO WAIT TILL 4am!? Jeebus
ReplyDeleteAll the time changed on Boomerang aswell, I had to reset all the recordings after I realised the three recorded episodes weren't ponies. D:
ReplyDelete4 pm in Poland. :) Not bad.
ReplyDelete12am in Queensland Australia.
ReplyDeleteThats 12:00 AM in Australia! Oh well doesn't really matter for me since I go to bed at 1:00 am all the time lol.
ReplyDeleteSo that is 3PM for me. Look like I've got to rearrange my dinner schedule.
ReplyDelete3pm and Dinner schedule? How are those two even related??
ReplyDeleteThat sucks I watch the new EP than go to bed...
ReplyDelete@Nutty
ReplyDeleteWorth noting I live in Ca I just go to bed really "late"
That's 11PM in Taiwan. Awesome!!!
ReplyDelete@Atiarotias
ReplyDeleteI take my sister out for dinner around 3pm on Saturdays. Any later and most of the carvery food starts to go off.
Can someone confirm that this is in fact 10:00 EDT = UTC-4, not EST = UTC-5, in other words, its daylight savings time?
ReplyDeleteTime zone math is quite difficult, even without the annoying daylight savings...
From all I know about time zones and daylight savings, this should be the Central European schedule for the next weeks:
2011-10-15 09:00 EDT = 13:00 UTC = 15:00 CEST
2011-10-22 10:00 EDT = 14:00 UTC = 16:00 CEST
2011-10-29 10:00 EDT = 14:00 UTC = 16:00 CEST
2011-11-05 10:00 EDT = 14:00 UTC = 15:00 CET
2011-11-12 10:00 EST = 15:00 UTC = 16:00 CET
2011-11-19 10:00 EST = 15:00 UTC = 16:00 CET
2011-11-26 10:00 EST = 15:00 UTC = 16:00 CET
2011-12-03 10:00 EST = 15:00 UTC = 16:00 CET
2011-12-10 10:00 EST = 15:00 UTC = 16:00 CET
2011-12-17 10:00 EST = 15:00 UTC = 16:00 CET
Note that there's an 1-hour offset on 2011-11-05 because Europe drops out of daylight savings one week earlier.
The whole "starting on the 17th of October" part confuses me. This doesn't mean the show will be aired mondays from now on, does it?
ReplyDeleteNot sure how I feel about the time change, but I think it was in the interest of making sure the younger demographic is able to watch the episodes without needing to wake up so early.
ReplyDeletesomething is fishy here... are we still getting the new episode on saturday oct 15th at 9am? or is that what is being changed to 10am since the 17th is on a monday?
ReplyDeleteThat's 4pm in Germany. Perfect. :D
ReplyDeleteLooks like the 15th is unaffected but that the week AFTER will air at 10am so the 15th f oct will still air at 9am since changes to the new schedules won't start till monday for the new weekday and weekend schedules.
ReplyDeleteThat makes more sense now
@RBDasher11 Really? I thought it will be 10pm in Taiwan. o_o
ReplyDeleteSLEEP! :D
ReplyDeleteAWESOME!!!
ReplyDeleteThat means 4 pm for those who are in the Germany time frame, and 3 pm for those who live in the Greenwich time frame. That makes watch the show a lot easier since it's right after I have had lunch <3 Thank you Hasbro! Thank you Seth for letting us know!
...But I kinda already knew, because the time of Luna Eclipsed on those screencaps was 10 am >_>
NNNNOOOOOOO
ReplyDelete...
Oh wait it's saturday!
YAY!
Pshh, sleep is for yellowbellies. This only adds to my waiting time for ponies
ReplyDeleteWhy can't they just make a channel that's all pony, all the time?
ReplyDelete@70f31582-eb1d-11e0-b79f-000bcdcb8a73
ReplyDeletelook at the bright side! now you'll have an awsome episode to come home to after work.
Badass Gilda is badass.
ReplyDeleteGood, I can change my alarm, then.
ReplyDeleteAlso, I like how you say watching it on the actual channel is "the cool way", because it is.
If it were on at 11 I would probably watch it live, but being up at 10 is just too much when you go to bed at 5 AM, even for ponies.
ReplyDeleteHas anyone else noticed that they've stopped the Monday through Thursday 6pm showing of MLP:FiM? Since my work schedule changed I was almost never home in time to watch it then anyway, but still I have to wonder if that means it wasn't pulling in the viewership in that timeslot that the Hub was hoping for.
ReplyDeleteGrrr, I always eat my lunch on a Saturday at 2PM while watching this, now I'm gonna have to push my food back an hour so I can still watch the show.
ReplyDeleteCurse you America for being so far behind GMT.
@Cantus
ReplyDeleteYes. Yes, she is.
Gilda is a wonderful work of character design. I would honestly like to see more of her in the second season.
THANK YOU HUB that's perfect.
ReplyDeleteAn additional hour of sleep before getting up for ponies? I am very okay with this. :D
ReplyDeleteGood, that's a no brainer. I mean are little kids (their supposed main demo) even up at 9am on a Saturday?
ReplyDeleteNot too much better for west coasters... Too hard for me to wake up at 7, let alone 6. T~T
ReplyDeleteAh well, I'll manage.
Daylight Savings Time starts on Nov 6th this year for the US, so that's not why the time of the airing changed for all who were wondering
ReplyDeleteTHANK YOU BASED HUB. you'd have no idea how difficult it was for me to get up at fucking 9:00 AM a couple Saturday's ago
ReplyDeletethat means i have to stay up for another hour D:
ReplyDelete7am...
8 instead of 7 for me.Still gotta record it and watch it later. No way i am getting up that early
ReplyDeleteno now i'm going to miss because of work curse you for setting my hours for Saturdays now i have to wait all day to watch the new episodes
ReplyDeletenow i can sleep till 7 yay.
ReplyDeleteClearly a brony-friendly move. Hasbro know what they doin.
ReplyDeleteDamn, I usually work 10am on Saturdays. So I watch the new episode, get ready, and go. Now I have to wait til after work!
ReplyDeleteWell, no more new episodes live before Toastmasters. :( I guess I'll have to watch them afterward.
ReplyDeleteOh son of a... it was already at midnight for me in Australia. Ugh. 1am ponies, and I think it'll shift to 2am once American daylight savings kicks in.
ReplyDeleteBugger.
