#1 was okay, but there were a few artistic things I didn't like. the first thing being that Applebloom didn't have three glare marks on her eyes as fillys always do and the pupils should be larger, otherwise, it was good.
#2 is very true, I love me some apples... to throw at the doctor.
Actually The Current Doctor In Doctor Who says that exact line about Apples in the same episode he regenerated, He goes around little Amy Pond's kitchen trying all the different foods and spitting them out if his new taste buds rejected them. He settles on fish-fingers and custard.
In the hopes that I can be forgiven for tooting my own horn a bit, I already came up with Comic 2's joke's premise months ago in my Sweet Apple Capers story.
Awww, first one is so endearing. Seems some think it wasn't too good, but I like it simply for the story. It's very sweet with just a touch of sad. :3
Second comic equals hilarious. I guess the old saying doesn't work on Timelords too. Also, love the dialogue. Especially Dr Whooves line in the third panel. :P
#1 almost made me rage because Applebloom was wearing AJs hat, which made me think the artist had AJ die or something. Then I realized at the end, "oh AJ just gave it to her she's still around", and then I liked the comic a lot better. =P
#2- Whooves is gonna get those apples shoved somewhere very painful lol.
If people want to actually get Doctor Who based jokes they should actually try to watch Doctor Who. Its kind of annoying when people think they get the jokes or references when they don't. Its just like when people misuse memes.
Here, I'll even link you all to a place to find episodes- Episode 1, series 1 here: http://www.tv-links.eu/tv-shows/Doctor-Who--2005-_221/season_1/episode_1/
you can also get to other episodes from there. Its also on Netflix.
:} I love comics that move the heart, by that I mean comic #2! NOT! seriously comic one made my heart turn to moosh....#2 ate that moosh and spit it out as a tense solid! XD
@Rainbow Dash I was going to make a remark about typos, but then I realized how tricky typing must be with hooves. Especially for impatient ponies such as yourself, jus sayin.
On a side note, I actually discovered Dr. Who around the same time as ponies. Go figure!
The first comic was touching, but it got completely ruined by the thousand-yard stare and lack of "smiling eyes". They look like creepy robotic dolls staring directly through you.
I'm tired of Equestria Daily. Seth doesn't even hide his rather negative feelings for Applejack. Seriously? You think that you don't underrepresented her? I look up the Mane 6, the princesses, the most popular ponies on EQD, and here are the results: Twilight Sparkle - 5,990 hits Rainbow Dash - 6,210 hits Fluttershy - 6,100 hits Pinkie Pie - 6,100 hits Rarity - 6,070 hits Applejack - 5,980 hits Luna - 6,290 hits Celestia - 6,270 hits There you have it. Proof that Applejack is the most underrepresented main character pony on EQD. Its also evident that by sticking to the site I am missing much needed content. And with that I am ending my subscription to Equestria Daily. Maybe if Seth allowed someone else to post things... You guys do what you want to do. I've wasted enough time here. I'll find another blog a little less...biased. Goodbye.

ReplyDelete#2: Didn't think that one through there Whooves. :P
ReplyDeleteApplejack wouldn't miss ... Dr. Hooves must have ninja dodge skills.
ReplyDeleteFIRST! WOOHOO! AW YEAH! I'M THE- aw...
ReplyDeleteAnywho, first was pretty moving. art kinda wonky but I liked the content.
Second just made me lol.
@Feenecks Chompski
ReplyDeleteDifferent regeneration, different dislikes?

ReplyDelete#2 is very true, I love me some apples... to throw at the doctor.
Ponies, Y U MAKE ME CRY?!
ReplyDeleteApple are rubbish, I hate apples!
ReplyDeleteTotally lol at the #2 one.
Didn't really understand the point of the first one.
#1 - Hit or miss.
ReplyDelete#2 - "An apple a day keeps the doctor away." Can't say the same for myself...
Still laughing at the second. Awesome!
ReplyDelete#2 is best pun
ReplyDeletelol i was waiting for someone to do something with the "apple a day" thing.
ReplyDeleteThat first one, the art syle isn't perfect but its good.
ReplyDeleteI laughed at the second one, that Doctor Whooves is supposed to dislike pears but it doesn't matter. it's still brilliant.
Wrong pony to say that too though.
Dumb time and space fabric!
ReplyDelete@Steve Jobs Man, you're killing me! And in the end yourself with that alternative treatment you used for five years...

ReplyDeleteHow is it possible that so many people don't know that:
ReplyDelete*10th Doctor hates pears
*11th Doctor hates apples
@ RPGenius
ReplyDeleteReally? I don't remember that part.
Still, the joke is nice. A fear for apples is well-founded after what he went through with Applebloom...
@ Hymmnos
ReplyDeleteHe travels through time! He saw that coming years ago!

1st was pretty cute, 2nd was hilarious. I would be ecstatic if Whooves was canon, or they at least had some minor references.
ReplyDeleteTake that, time lord! Hya!
ReplyDelete@Feenecks Chompski
ReplyDelete@Celestia
Nono, he does say later that he hates apples. Don't know the specifics. Better start watching that show already.
Tenth Doctor hates pears, Eleventh Doctor hates apples. What's up with the Doctor and fruit?
ReplyDeleteI don't watch the show. The only information on Dr. Who I have is from my brother and I don't see him much.
ReplyDelete#1 almost made me rage because Applebloom was wearing AJs hat, which made me think the artist had AJ die or something. Then I realized at the end, "oh AJ just gave it to her she's still around", and then I liked the comic a lot better. =P

Applebloom with a Stentson? I approve!
ReplyDeleteI'm almost on the vergebof watching Doctor Whoc ause of you crazy ponies. Good one.
ReplyDeleteI demand to know how Apple Bloom is carrying that hobo stick.
ReplyDeleteI love Appleblossom's cutie mark
ReplyDelete:} I love comics that move the heart, by that I mean comic #2! NOT! seriously comic one made my heart turn to moosh....#2 ate that moosh and spit it out as a tense solid! XD
ReplyDeletebut Dr. Who hates pears, not apples, silly!
ReplyDeleteNope! He knows exactly what he's doing; the fate of the universe hinges on incurring Applejack's wrath.
ReplyDelete...I'm sure it'll all make sense when the dust settles.
No no no no, it's PEARS he hates, that's why the apple didn't work. :)
ReplyDelete@Rainbow Dash I was going to make a remark about typos, but then I realized how tricky typing must be with hooves. Especially for impatient ponies such as yourself, jus sayin.

ReplyDelete#1 Heartwarming, I almost cry...
ReplyDelete#2 O_O Unexpected... (So the pony version of the doctor loves pears?)
@DeRockProject Yeah but later on he eats an apple and he's fine with them.
ReplyDeleteThe doctor always seems to have a hard time with most round fruits. First Pears and now Apples. Maybe he should stick to bananas, He likes bananas.
ReplyDelete@mycutiemarkisagun the exact same way Applejack did in her cutie mark story.
ReplyDeleteWait, that doesn't answer anything, does it?
I refer to Applebloom in the first comic's third panel as "Applecolt" for obvious reasons. Creative? No. But I can't help it!
ReplyDeletewhere is big macintosh?
ReplyDeleteHIS YOUR SIBLING TOO YOU KNOW.
humor and sadness doesn't seem to add up...
Them apples :|
ReplyDelete@Lightning Thorn
ReplyDelete@Michael
