Celestia is mad jelly of Luna's new massive fanbase, i wonder who would have the larger mob if Luna and Fluttershy had an argument? AND IF YOU DARE SEND HER TO THE MOON! There shall be consequences
We don't want to know what is in the cart thanks Pinkie
I have been utterly terrified lately because of the amount of Celestia hate I've seen. Some of it stems very obscure and weird places, she's perfect ruler for monarchy, why so much hatred? Its complete nonsense!
Earlier, an image was floating around, and a ton of you sent it my way.
We are pretty much 99% sure it is a hoax. The website it was found on does not actually show the synopsis, and Southpark in general is known for never releasing it early.
I'm just tossing this in here since some of you seem really excited to see it up on EQD! There you go!
Endquote.

Oh and by the way as much as I love South Park, we really don't want an episode about us. It's just like that post about the company that wanted to do a documentary on the fandom, we will more than likely get a bad name from the episode because South Park tends to bash on just about anything. Even if its in good fun it will still probably spawn a lot of hate.
Interestingly, Celestia almost certainly can't send Luna to the moon anymore, since she has no "connection" to the Elements of Harmony. I guess they just have to learn to get along.
Note: There at least a strong visual cue in S1E2 that Nightmare Moon banished Celestia to the sun for the duration of that episode, without using the Elements of Harmony. I chalk that up to one of the "Dark Powers" that Luna refers to in S2E4, or possibly something that she was only able to do in conjunction with the "stars that aided in her escape," per Twilight Sparkle.
Additional questions to be answered in fanfics most likely:
a) who/what were the stars and why/how did they aid Nightmare Moon? b) Why did Luna instantly recognize Star Swirl the Bearded? She likely knew him personally in the pre-classical era. What was their relationship? c) What was Luna thinking when she was kneeling in front of the Nightmare Moon statue? Remorse? Nostalgia? d) Why was it traditional 1000 years for Luna (and presumably Celestia) to speak in the Royal Canterlot Voice? It appears they embraced their role as demigoddesses much more back then. Was Celestia as grim as Luna back then? e) What were the different periods of pony history, and what were they like? We know of the modern era, the pre-classical era, and presumably the classical era.
Also, Luna demonstrated some pretty terrifying powers in Luna Eclipsed, including never before seen abilities:
telekinesis, shapeshifting/illusion (transforming the guards and turning herself into Nightmare Moon and back again), transfiguration (cape into bats), incredible physical strength (shaking Fluttershy like a ragdoll); cloud and thunderstorm manipulation; and most frighteningly, giving life to the inanimate (spiderses). If she can do all that without any apparent effort or exertion, what would she and Celestia be capable of if angered at their subjects? More fic fodder.
#1: I always liked Luna better anyway. Celestia's personality was too boring for me, and the fact that Luna's was a mystery appealed to me. I was pleasantly surprised when the canon Luna didn't disappoint, and I still like her better. :P #2: Yes, Scootaloo dressed as Dash would've been awesome. Oh, well, there's always season 3's Halloween special, right?
I'm thinking they're roughly equal in terms of power (perhaps Luna and Celestia each have a slight edge over each other in specific categories), but Celestia has a bit more control and is a bit more reserved in her use of her power, whereas Luna is more liberal in her displays of power (owing to the whole 'royalty must be feared and respected' mindset that classical royalty tends to exhibit).
I wouldn't be surprised that Luna chills out with the power usage given the time to acclimate to modern Equestrian society.
I hope Celestia DOES banish him to the moon. This is gonna sound terrible, but I have this irrational dislike for Pip. He really grates on my nerves LOL
Man, how awesome was Pinkie Pie this episode? Her costume, her manic desire for candy, her nonstop squawking/shrieking...Halloween is one of my favorite holidays so I'm pretty sure I act the same :S
Yeah I loved seeing Luna use some of that alicorn magic. I think at the end of the episode in the upper left hand corner her blue bar only went down a couple points
#1 Had me lulzing. Wow, I have had more lol-inducing moments on this site alone than in the rest of my interwebz experience! I've also had an extreme overexposure to D'AWWW on this site, more than is good for me.
#2 Nnnnnope! No one can touch Pinkie in the candy bsns. If you want to be as good as her, just remember Pinkie's motto: Time is candy!
@Ice Matoro Yes, and Scootaloo didn't go as Rainbow dash (as much sense as it would have made) but as a werewolf, and Applebloom went as Bride of Frankenstein. If you were to read the description, the artist made that comic before the episode aired.
And yeah, I don't really get the Luna craze either.
#1 Ah yes, reinforce the Tyrant Celestia idea. That will work.
#2 Am I the only one who thinks it is cute to see Scootaloo dresses as Rainbow Dash? Though nothing will beat Applebloom as Darth Vader.
Did Pinkie Pie just bounce in other's houses, swipe as much candy as she could, then bolt before they knew what hit them? Maybe she held them hostage. Maybe she stole from others and was meeting the CMCs to do it to them.
@Everlasting Joy While that's a very possible explanation, couldn't it be that she simply raided Sugarcube Corner or made the candy herself? I mean, she works there after all.

Luna is the new derpy. There will be much obsessing.
ReplyDeleteWell I never...
ReplyDeleteLuna deserves attention too and unless she turns into another Blueblood i'm not going to banish her.
And somehow Pinkie doesn't surprise me there.
#1: U Mad Celestia?
ReplyDelete#2: Once Again Pinkie reigns surpreme
Pfft.
ReplyDeletePipsqueak is clearly the best pony.
Did you guys hear? South Park is officially doing an episode about Bronies.
ReplyDeleteShould be interesting.
@NDupree93
ReplyDeleteIf that is true I shall eat the hat you see to my left
No its not true. Seth already commented on this saying it was a Hoax. They may do something like this in the future, but the current rumors are false.
ReplyDelete@NDupree93
ReplyDeleteIm pretty sure it hasn't been confirmed and is just a fake,
but if I'm wrong gimme a link!
Celestia, can't you let Luna be happy for once?

I love the 1st one, Pipsqueak is so cute! And Luna too, of course.
ReplyDeletesigh.. i wish someone would actually make positive/happy celestia comics instead of always the same troll/angry ness
ReplyDeleteHoly s... Both made me laugh hard.
ReplyDeleteIn your face celestia :D
ReplyDeleteFUCK YEAH MORE COMICS!

Enquiring minds want to know!

ReplyDelete2nd that
First comic was good. Celestia hate... I guess it started with the New Lunar Republic.
ReplyDeleteSecond comic was quite realistic and... Sweetie Belle's costumes was EPIC.
#1 Pipsqueak's face is...disturbing...
ReplyDelete#2 Pinkie's mind: Poor noobs...

*shakes head* I sincerely doubt either of them would act like that.
ReplyDelete#1: troll has been trolled
ReplyDeleteHaters gona hate
ReplyDelete@ponydoraprancypants
ReplyDeleteAnd it makes me wonder about their fight a thousand years ago. It's no wonder that all that is left of the old capital is a little bit of the castle.
1.Sending a little pirate filly to the moon might be cool
ReplyDelete2.Pinkie wins.
@Shadow Dragon
ReplyDeleteAnd whether that fight somehow created what is now the Everfree Forest.
I also forgot to add "shattering the earth with a simple stamp of her hoof" to physical strength above, since she did that in the episode too.

#1 Dat to-do list. Poor jealous Celestia. Don't worry, Celestia, we still love you. We just love Luna way way more. :D
ReplyDelete#2 Pinkie gets ALL the candies! Including what looks like some giant ones.
@ponydoraprancypants & Shadow Dragon

lewl
ReplyDeleteAll my internet points to anyone who makes an image of Luna in the style of the iconic Che Guevara face. I would actually wear that shirt.
ReplyDeleteSaw #1 awhile ago, in your face indeed.
ReplyDeleteReally hope there's going to be an episode with the two sisters, Luna and Celestia, interacting side-by-side.
No one mentioning Sweetie Belle as Stay Puff marshmallow mare? I mean, she IS Rarity's sister after all.

P.S. @Altherix: Ditto.
Celestia doesn't need to be scarier. She already creeps me the hay out ever since that comic about her statue garden...
ReplyDeleteNot to be offensive or anything, but I don't really see what the Luna craze is all about :/
ReplyDeleteSweetie bell was a vampire in nigthmare night =/
