#1 Lyra really oughta use her horn for opening it, stab it of course, magic is just barbaric!
#2 (again) I thought she just did it for the go boost! Pinkie is one pony you could expect to to d that, though I wonder how she got dollars instead of bits?
The first two are great; I'm surprised no one's thought of either one before, especially the idea of Trixie bribing Pinkie just to mess with Twilight. (Obviously there has to be something to Pinkie Sense for AJ to respect it, but it did seem to hit Twilight awfully hard that day...)
The third one's not quite as good, but still amusing.
Those were great. I especially loved Lyra trying to open the banana in the first comic. And poor RD falling in the third one. Oh, and Fluttershy's face in the third one, haha. <3
Rainbow Dash is in the third comic. Look closely in the 2nd panel. She's half hiding behind the "Ahhhhhhhhh." It's her falling because she lost her wings remember.
I've actually seen a comic like the last one before. While the unicorns and pegusi were panicking over the loss of their horns and wings (off-panel), AJ and Pinkie were both just looking at each other with a shared expression that said something like, "Ugh, seriously?"
I find it interesting that there's two ways to interpret #2, depending on which way you think the money is being exchanged. Did Pinkie want help winning an argument with Twilight, or did Trixie want help tormenting the Little Ms. Know-it-all who showed her up?
#3 Racism. Everyone is so horrified that they are now Earth Ponies. I'm actually surprised this wasn't pointed out in the episode with a line like "Don't yall worry. Heck, me and Pinkie get along just fine without them fancy wings or horns".
Pony racism is hilarious. Has anyone ever actually asked Jason or Lauren about it?
The standard line that "earth ponies are the strongest" doesn't hold up when you see that RD flattened Applejack (a model of earth pony fitness) in a hoof-wrassle. AJ only wins with her hind legs.
@RedFox742: Ya, if you look at Rainbow Dash's apple bucking at the end of Applebuck Season, she spills some apples, but still manages to get most of them to land in Pinkie's cart, which would suggest that the only advantage Applejack has, even in apple bucking is finesse.
The advantages of earth ponies grow thinner and thinner.
Guys, whenever the Earth pony ting comes up you all compare Rainbow Dash and Applejack. The only ting no one ever seems to think about is that, oh that's right, Rainbow Dash is ATHLETIC. She's stronger than the typical pegasus. Do you guys think Derpy or Fluttershy could compete with Applejack?
I think Earth ponies are IN GENERAL stronger and hardier than the other races. Pegasi are lighter and of course, can fly. NO ONE EVER THINKS FOR A SECOND THAT MAYBE RAINBOW DASH IS JUST THE EXCEPTION, NOT THE RULE.
@skovfru: You also seem to forget that Applejack is stronger than the typical earth pony and Fluttershy is weaker than the typical pegasus. So a fairer comparison would be Derpy vs Mrs. Cake. My bet's on Derpy.
Funny and cute comics! I especially like the middle one, because Feeling Pinkie Keen is my least favorite episode, and I feel that makes more sense then what happened in the actual episode.
@Strill Wait... why is it more fair to athletically compare a middle-aged, pudgy pastry chef against a younger, fit pegasus that moves anvils and pianos?
Admittedly, she doesn't move them *well*, but still.
@kriss1989 Not necessarily, no one has decided how pegasus magic works. Like when they're pulling carriages, the carriages float. Is it because of their passive magic? If so, that'd be helpful in lifting anvils and pianos.
I'm not against the Earth ponies having no real powers, btw, I just despise all the hate they get from this fandom. Everyone likes Pegasi 'cause OOH THEY CAN FLY and Unicorns because THEY CAN DO MAGIC but Earth ponies are cool too. 8'C

#3 lol racism...
Yep, Pinkie's twitchy-tail powers were Trixie the whole time! :D
ReplyDeleteThe first two are great; I'm surprised no one's thought of either one before, especially the idea of Trixie bribing Pinkie just to mess with Twilight. (Obviously there has to be something to Pinkie Sense for AJ to respect it, but it did seem to hit Twilight awfully hard that day...)

Turning tricks?
ReplyDeletelol these were great
ReplyDelete#1 Don't let Dr Whooves eat one of those, he won't be pleased when he remembers.
ReplyDelete#2 Pinkie shouldn't need Trixies to get Twilight to admit she can't explain Pinkie sense.
#3 Fluttershy's face, oh dear. Their expressions are priceless.
1.Applejack the banana salespony
ReplyDelete2.Trixie, you got paid to make Pinkie Sense happen
3.Racism

ReplyDelete#2 - Revenge is sweet, but Bits are sweeter!!
#3 - I... Don't have anything to say... (It's been almost three weeks since that episode...)

#1 Poor Lyra
ReplyDelete#2 I love Pinkie pie so much
#3 Earth Pony dont get any love
#3 is the best, lol, i love these pony racism jokes
ReplyDelete"Pegasi can fly, Unicorns wield magic, and Earth ponies...........uh...........have.......uhhhhh......"
Lol at Fluttershy's reaction in the third one.
ReplyDeleteWheres Rainbow... oh there she is
ReplyDeletePinkie Pie is oblivious to the racism, and I think AJ is fully aware of it.
ReplyDelete#3 "Oh no, what a nightmare."
ReplyDeleteYou know I am not really sure why panic at suddenly losing some of your limbs would be racism, even if said race lacks the limb in question.
ReplyDelete@Vegetalss4
ReplyDeleteThe racism is Discord not taking anything from the earth ponies, treating them as non-threats.
Maybe he took away their endurance?
ReplyDeleteI think that he took, or tried to take, Pinkie's 4th wall breaking abilities.
I've actually seen a comic like the last one before. While the unicorns and pegusi were panicking over the loss of their horns and wings (off-panel), AJ and Pinkie were both just looking at each other with a shared expression that said something like, "Ugh, seriously?"

ReplyDeleteI always felt a little insulted on AJ and Pinkie's behalf wehn the playing field got "evened." Earth ponies are just as awesome as the rest!!
ReplyDeleteI'm gonna guess that Applejack's super-insight and the Pinkie Sense were nulled as part of the trade, seeing as this just came up yesterday.
ReplyDeleteAll of these are great, but I must mention that the idea behind #3 has been shown before.
ReplyDeleteStill, I saved all three.
#3 Racism. Everyone is so horrified that they are now Earth Ponies. I'm actually surprised this wasn't pointed out in the episode with a line like "Don't yall worry. Heck, me and Pinkie get along just fine without them fancy wings or horns".
ReplyDelete@Celestia: Just make sure he only gets bananas. He's fully behind bananas. ;-)
ReplyDeletePony racism is hilarious. Has anyone ever actually asked Jason or Lauren about it?

Lyra is so found of human hands though being a unicorn LOL nice one!
ReplyDeleteThird is like pony racism.... nice one too!
Ponyville does have bananas, though. They show up in Owl's Well that Ends Well.
ReplyDeleteon number three when isaw this on tv i this was the first thing to pop in my mind

ReplyDeleteI love Derpy dearly, but in that contest, my bits are on Mrs. Cake.
Okay, the Feeling Pinkie Keen explanation is now canon in my head.
ReplyDeleteAww, Rainbow Dash never saw it coming...
ReplyDelete@Strill
ReplyDeleteWait... why is it more fair to athletically compare a middle-aged, pudgy pastry chef against a younger, fit pegasus that moves anvils and pianos?
Admittedly, she doesn't move them *well*, but still.
Hahaha I loved all of these, but especially #3 (even if the topic has been broached on more than one occasion before). Poor Applejack.
ReplyDeleteAn Apple stand with fruit from 2 ponies with the last name of Orange.
ReplyDeleteFruits for sale: Pears and Bananas
Wait, wait, wait. Is that Fluttershy being the Simple Dog from Hyperbole and a Half?
ReplyDeleteDon't let Bon Bon eat pears. She HATES pears.
ReplyDelete@Tequila Sunrise
ReplyDeleteI just barely realized the same thing! Simple Dog ftw!
@Unknown
ReplyDeleteThough at the same time I feel bad for making the comparison. Fluttershy is best pony!
#1 is definitely my fav, poor handless Lyra :(
ReplyDeleteGian, YOU GOT ON EQD AGAIN, hooray for you.
ReplyDeleteI know this guy and i gave him the idea for the fruit.
ReplyDelete@Harwick For that matter, we have a pegasus that can lift anvils. I think the 'Earth Ponies are physically stronger' theory is kaput.
ReplyDelete@kriss1989 Not necessarily, no one has decided how pegasus magic works. Like when they're pulling carriages, the carriages float. Is it because of their passive magic? If so, that'd be helpful in lifting anvils and pianos.

@skovfru I know, my OC is an EP. I love them too, but I feel that the 'stronger' argument is sour grapes. I prefer the 'most numerous' version.
