We Love Fine is hosting another MLP Tee-Shirt Design contest, with triple the rewards of the last one. Yes, that's 3000 bucks your looking at, they are definitely beefing up the prize pool this time around.
The contest works pretty much the same way as the first one, with a twist. Submissions start today, and end on October 16th. The grand prize winner will be chosen on by all of you, but they invited both EQD and Bronyville to vote for second and third.
Now go create us some awesome designs!
(Good luck topping Dumb Fabric though for all around perfection, you guys are lucky it was part of the last competition and not eligible for this one! It's glorious...)

I still have to thank whoever made the Dumb fabric shirt.
ReplyDeleteIt's my favourite of my pony shirts now.
Phwoaaaar! If only I could Draw...
ReplyDeleteHmmm, now that I have a tablet I may actually participate in this contest, that $3000 would alleviate all worries of paying for my Japanese trip. Whelp, time to dip my toes in the t-shirt designing water, this is gonna be fun!
ReplyDeleteGah, we only have 2 episodes worth of content to make out of T-Shirts. Maybe 3 or 4 if we are lucky.
ReplyDeleteOh well, if it means plenty of Discord T-Shirts, that is good enough for me.
Incoming flood of Chocolate Rain shirts!
ReplyDelete...I'd approve!
Oh cool, maybe I'll give it a shot-
ReplyDeleteUS only.

@Vinyl Scratch
ReplyDeleteDo want!
all we need is a frosting shirt...
ReplyDeletedoes it have to be quite simple because of the printing process? Or is it using a simulated process technique?
ReplyDeleteDiscord shirt...i'd actually buy that.
ReplyDeleteQuick Question: Only people who live in US can participate ?
ReplyDeleteI want to go in on this. I missed the last one. Any tips on creating a *good* shirt design?
ReplyDeleteOh, lol. I'm wearing my Wonderbolts Tee from We Love Fine right now.
ReplyDeleteI'm not much of an artist, but I make some cool pony things in photoshop. I'll give it a go.
YES! $3000 bits. I'm in!
ReplyDelete@Ross
ReplyDeleteI'd be willing to bet that's the case :(
@Ross
ReplyDelete'Open to legal residents of the fifty (50) United States and Washington D.C. who are at least 18 years of age at the time of entry.'
Bah! I had a really good idea aswell...
AARRRGH! I wanted to join but I'm in the Philippines D:

ReplyDeleteOh, and Seth didn't mention this in his post. But he's a guest judge and will pick a runner up. Keep your eye out. He will be watching them.
ReplyDeleteIf I had the time and art skills, I would compete for the cash (when will WLF have a Pokemon design contest? I would love to compete in that one!)
ReplyDeleteSOMEONE.MORE.WHOOVES.RIGHT.NOW
ReplyDelete@ScalierHat
ReplyDelete*Sob*
Leave to the next. =(
Sooo....we draw/design a shirt on a template or something then upload it to We Love Fine and they recreate it for people to view or what? I'm confused and I actually want to try this by using a Vinyl Scratch design
ReplyDelete3,000 bucks you're looking at. YOU'RE, not "your".
ReplyDeleteI seriously need to make an effort to enter this time. I have some good shirt ideas that Im sure people would like
ReplyDeleteJoining the 'No US resident NOOOOOOooooo' comments :/
ReplyDeleteI hope the CMC tour shirt is rezed as well as the Run CMC shirts I still want those
ReplyDeleteLol, I'm glad you liked my Dumb Fabric design. Too bad I only got a 50 dollar credit for winning 4th. I was hoping they'd at least give me a few copies of my own shirt, but c'est la vie. I'm glad they upped the prize money for the runners up, considering the last contest winners have been their top sellers since the end of the contest. I might try again...
ReplyDeleteOk shall i uses my expensive mac with all the art and graphics programs on or crayons? Hell i'l take any excuse to uses crayons.
ReplyDeletenote: it's "up to $3000", not $3000. How much you win depends on how many votes total are recieved (it'll only be $3000 if they get 300,000 votes or more, otherwise it'll be somewhere between $1000 and $2999.)
ReplyDeleteDamit only people in the USA can enter.

ReplyDeleteMust it contain original art work?
ReplyDeleteOr can we vector ponies directly from the show and use them, and then add things.
I'm slightly confused, can someone clear it up for me?
I don't want to make something then realize it's Ineligible.
@Splendorman
ReplyDeleteYou can use vectors.
If Sethisto as a judge means we will get a Trixie shirt, I greatly approve.
ReplyDeleteHoly celestia, you need 300,000 votes to get the max cash prize. Better make a damn good design.
ReplyDeleteHow is it that I think of ideas for shirts ALL OF THE TIME, but I can't think of pony shirts?
ReplyDeleteI wonder what happens if we enter and we don't live in the USA?
ReplyDeleteP.S. my design:

Up to $3000 to draw pony...? Well, I've got artistic talent... so what do I have to lose? I should give this contest a shot!
ReplyDeleteErr, do they accept Canadian submissions?
ReplyDeleteHow many submissions is one person allowed to enter?
ReplyDelete@Eeviechu
ReplyDeleteIt appears 5 total designs; the same number as before.
Also... holy crap, 300,000 votes? That's... insane. Even 10,000 votes is insane in my opinion. At least the prize is still $1k like before.
@Jay6
ReplyDeleteNope, only US citizens.
Another contest, woot! We need more pony shirts!
ReplyDeleteAnd $3000? Holy... wow. That is quite the cash prize. I thought the $1000 from last round was a lot. But wow. They must be doing pretty good after that last contest.
DJ P0N3 currently has more T-Shirts than Twilight Sparkle. Someone please fix this.
ReplyDelete@Ajin
ReplyDeleteooooh! You made that design!? No wonder it's so awesome! Big fan of all your other art :)
i'd like to enter... Wonder what I could come up with
@Octavia
ReplyDeleteAll the top selling products are MLP shirts so they must be.
Alright then, I'll just send my design to an american friend of mine, and he can submit the art... >_>; (kinda retarded imo)
ReplyDeleteDamn, the second I read the title, I *immediately* thought of the exact idea of the "Dumb Fabric" submission. Guess who has to think of another >:S
ReplyDeleteTo all those complaining about not being in the US, you can still try to enter with a T-Shirt design. Sure you cannot win the actual Prize Money, but your T-Shirt Design might be used for an actual shirt and then you can buy that shirt and make everyone else happy who want to were it as well. And Isn't that a prize enough? To make others happy with your shirt design? I say enter it regardless of prize or not and see if you can come up with the best shirt design possible.
ReplyDeleteSo what do the requirements mean exactly?
ReplyDelete"must be at least 200 DPI... 15 inches wide... under 1000 pixels wide"
Does that mean that the submission is just any old <1000x1000 image of your shirt, but you need a >3000x3000 image on hand later if you get picked for printing?
The prize money is kinda motivation to actually participate in the contest. Of course I want people to be happy with a newly created shirt design, but it's almost as if I get nothing out of it. It just gives me something else to try for when prizes are involved.
ReplyDeleteAre we allowed to create an image for the back of the tee?
ReplyDeleteAre there limits on how many we can submit?
ReplyDelete@MushroomMan
ReplyDeleteThe rules say a limit of 5 submissions.
@Ajin
ReplyDeleteHey, a previous winner! (congrats!)
Can you answer my earlier question on how their submission formats work?
I'm still submitting even though I'm too young to win the prize. I just like the idea of giving other bronies neat stuff to wear! Plus, designing is always fun!
ReplyDelete@Diomedes
All of the ideas I'm working on at the moment are Twilight Sparkle. :D
Entered my shirt but it's not showing as submitted... Hrrrngh.
ReplyDeleteI submitted mine! :D
ReplyDeletei only like 2 so far, "im a big pony" and "not a brony"
ReplyDelete@Ajin
ReplyDeleteWow, kinda a jip. Especially if your shirt sells more and you dont get any of the money from that. You dont get any piece of what they sell of your shirt do you?
One would think of making their own shirt in such case.
@SketchyDee
ReplyDeleteWell technically, making your own shirts wouldn't be going through the proper channels of getting Hasbro blessing, and your profits would be blood money.
Only ones I like so far are RariT rapper shirt and the many faces of rainbow dash. Keep em coming!
ReplyDeleteI'm in, I don't really even care if I win anyways. At least I have something to do for a while.
ReplyDelete@nuclearsuplexattack
ReplyDeleteHi! Nicole from WeLoveFine here. Just FYI, we had 230,000+ votes in the last MLP contest. So it can definitely be done. Everyone who voted last time, ask one extra friend to vote and it'll hit 300K in no time. ;)
