ReplyDeleteaw thats poo
ReplyDeleteRandom, Comedy, and Pizza.
ReplyDeleteYes please :D
@karrotline, don't you know not to post first? It makes you look like a foal. Try to make a post atleast related to the topic so when you are 2 posts late you don't come off as annoying. And yes, I was trying to get first earlier. I did not, but it is atleast not FIIRRRSSST :D
ReplyDeleteCute story!
ReplyDeleteAn excuse to post!
ReplyDeletePizza!
Oh, no. I'm not falling for this one. I remember the last time a Pinkie Pie story was posted with a food item as the title.
ReplyDeleteThat was fun. Nothing crazy special but pretty enjoyable. 4 Stars.
ReplyDeleteAll right, now that I've gotten my obligatory "first" in the form of pizza and had a chance to read it... Honestly, one of the most amusing things I've seen in a while. Short, sweet, to the point, and highly distracting. Awesome story.
ReplyDelete@Way, it's not like the other food item story. I should know, mine's the live recording (look of intense shame)
Does anypony else want to try pizza with an apple sauce instead of a tomato sauce now?
ReplyDeleteWait, we actually get a story called "Pizza", and yet, Pizza Pony isn't the image? Cereal, I am Disappoint.
ReplyDeleteHonestly didn't think that people would avoid it due to what I term the "cupcakes syndrome". That story makes me truly cringe.
ReplyDeleteThe phrase "demented vuvuzela" is redundant, I think.
ReplyDelete“Pinkie, I don’t think it’s the right kind of dough.” She could tell by the candy bars that had been stuffed in it and having seen a few doughs in her time.
ReplyDeleteBwaha.
Fun story, though. You seem to have captured Pinkie Pie's essence well.
@macintosh: The image was made especially for the story. If anything, be disappoint at me.
ReplyDelete@nif: Too true.
Short, sweet, to the point. Very nice! And suddenly I crave pizza...
ReplyDeleteomnom pizza pony.
ReplyDelete@ Pizza Brony
ReplyDeleteAhh I was just joking. I like the one thats there. lol I just figured somepony would point it out eventually. Kind of an "inb4" thing
And then ponies meet strange armored cats possessing ludicrous wit and even stranger weapons.
ReplyDeleteFanfic idea. Do it nao!
An okay story and an amusing scene, but as a story it falls a bit flat. There's no dramatic tension, no real core conflict to drive the story. The plot is essentially "Twilight and Pinkie make Pizza" and there is never really any doubt that they will succeed. Technically, it's good with only a few flaws here and there, but the wording is a bit flowery at times, and memetic catchphrases (20% cooler and the like) are thrown in for their own sake rather than where they would fit in naturally. Pinkie comes off as overly exaggerated, and Spike too to a smaller extent. Twilight is mostly in-character.
ReplyDeleteOverall much like pizza itself: tasty, but flat and not necessarily good for you.
@Phantom: It's "comedy" and "random". Don't take it too seriously bro.
ReplyDeleteAn entertaining story that gives me enough of a pony fix for now...
ReplyDeleteSo a vuvuzela. I guess it sounds like a swarm of bees? I can imagine why it would unnerve Twilight.
ReplyDeleteThe timer hit zero. Pinkie had somehow managed to replace the timer's beeping mechanism with the sounds of a demented vuvuzela, startling Twilight.
ReplyDeleteThat line is the winner of this story, if nothing else. good story in general though.
Good potential, but somehow felt underdeveloped.
ReplyDeleteVery cute story. Makes me want to put candy corns on my pizza now though.
ReplyDeleteWhoops, I did sound somewhat full of myself, didn't I? Was stuck in drama-mode for a bit. Okay, comedy and random. That sounds like slapstick to me, which is fine. I like slapstick. But for some reason it didn't tickle my funny bone and I'm trying to figure out why so I can help. I think it has to deal with surprise. The vuvuzela line and Pinkie kicking the tray into the oven worked really well because they came out of nowhere. I think the rest of the jokes fell a bit flat because they were a bit slow to develop. The punchlines needed more punch. I wish I could say more, but comedy isn't my forte.
ReplyDelete@Pizza Brony
ReplyDeleteSomeone is going to have to explain the collapsible celery and buzz saw zucchini to me. Truly, I will not be able to sleep if I can't figure out what in the hell that was referencing.
This was a pretty good fanfic. It was extremely random, but still funny. I like when the writers introduce real life items into Ponyville. Also, the maine six are kind of dicks not sharing any of the pizza with Lyra or Bon-Bon. They were right there. Seriously, pizza is meant to be eaten in eight slices. I liked it, 5/5
ReplyDelete@Risky
ReplyDeleteDoctor Who. :)
http://tardis.wikia.com/wiki/Celery
Well...that was amusingly random enough, nice work!
ReplyDelete(also, love the Fifth Doctor reference)
I dunno about candy corn, but I hear that pepperoni and marshmallows are a surprisingly good combo - though, understandably, I don't think Ponyville carries any meat toppings. Oh well, their loss.
ReplyDeleteShort, sweet, and cheesy!
ReplyDeleteWow, that sounded better in my head...
Very fun story, but I couldn't help but purposely mispronounce "pizza" every time it was said, considering its unusual spelling and the fact that Celestia offered no hint as to how it actually sounds. Other than that, it seemed like Lyra crashing into the building served no real purpose and everyone just ignored her until she disappeared. Still, I certainly enjoyed it and I hope to see more pizza stories in the future. They's silly! :P
ReplyDeleteI can imagine cheese being... weird... in a world where dairy cows talk. I don't think there would be any level of yumminess that would let me get over that.
ReplyDeleteStill, great story PB! And I liked the over-the-top Pinkie Pie. She wouldn't be Pinkie if you didn't over exaggerate her a bit!
@showmetheblueprints
ReplyDeleteWell, now I'm even more confused... cursed Doctor Who impenetrable continuity bubble
[finishes reading] Actually, AJ's suggestion sounds like it would be the beginning of an excellent desert pizza... Applesauce, apple wedges, cinnamon, no cheese, though. Just, in the words of Applebloom, apples, apples, APPLES!
ReplyDelete>In the brony chat alongside, someone went to get a pizza, I mentioned about how it’d be a craze if ponies and pizza were together, and BOOM. Pizza Brony was born.
ReplyDelete-And that's how nukes and penicillin were discovered. :D
...and now I'm eager for my Saturday Pizza-day ;).
>tough for anypony that does not possess magic to eat it without requiring at least a few napkins.
-A few ? Clearly they never ate Bacon&Seafood Pizza. 'THAT' is a messy-to-eat pizza ;).
>Now, cheese. That ain’t a real common request ’round these parts
-Hummmm... I do recall a rather large group of cows, from 'Applebuck Season', and a barn for them in 'Boast Buster'.
One would think that 'enough milk to feed an Ursa Minor' would mean 'enough milk to allow for byproducts, like butter and cheese' ?
>as she was one of the only living beings ever to defy its stern grip on the universe at large.
-Quantum Powers, it does that, yes. ;)
>I knew this colt one time and he gave me some strange collapsible celery which he said was for detecting a gas
-Is this a reference to something ?
>If she’d continued this train of thought, she’d end up sad about the Cakes.
-Now, now... She isn't ''THAT'' bad. She can have a lot of self-control in some episodes, like in 'Swarm of the Century'.
>Applejack is of the opinion that pizza would be better served with apple sauce instead of tomato paste.
-Oatmeal ? Are you... wait... I mean, 'apple sauce' ? Are you crazy ?
... What pizza do you prefer ? (asked to anyone interested in the question). Personally, I'm not sure to have a ''prefered'' kind of pizza, though I really like those with garlic or garlic-flavor, and those with bacon or chicken bits ...
... Well, simple yet good story, really. Makes you want to go eat some pizza ;) ...
Well that was pretty cute. worth reading for sure
