      Ok now that my screams of agony and pain are done and I've read the chapter I am satisfied enough to keep reading this series...
      Well two reasons I didn't get around to writing this; figuring out which ponies would play which characters and my lack of a reliable Internet connection

      I tried my hand at a Republic Commando type story, it didn't go over well. This was mainly due to my horrid writing skills and general lack of direction.

      Not too bad, though it was a bit short. Like pretty short. Felt more like a prologue than an actual chapter. Might be just Trevor though. Anyhoof, looking forward to the next chapter! 8D

      I can't get past the fact that it's called the "Galactic EmPONY." Seriously guys, not everything needs to be a horse pun, especially not when you have to force it like that. Pun oversaturation is the reason the Flintstones was so lousy.

      Meh, I decided against it, I can't do it... I wish I could but I can't, I'm just not big enough a Star Wars fan to want to read this, sorry. Maybe some day I will reach that level of fandom for it, or maybe someone will use the jedi mind trick thing on me so I read it.

      I love Star Wars, and I love MLP... but I'm not a big fan of just swapping character roles and place names, and slapping MLP references into the Star Wars storyline...

      My dream Star Wars/MLP crossover would be to either adapt the main characetrs to a Starwars Universe with a whole new, different story... course with a couple references to both sources... OR make it an OC fic set in a pony-fied Star Wars Universe... like Fallout Equestria... but with Star Wars.

      So... all said, nice writing, but I'll pass...

      I dunno... Exactly how is one going to do a Star Wars crossover without simply rehashing the movie with ponies in the places of their characters? Really? I am honestly having trouble considering any sort of variation from the original plot...

      The only way I could really see this crossing over at all without doing that is that the Empire has come to conquer Equestria and the ponies join the rebellion, which would actually be a pretty cool idea... buuuuuuut given the comments somehow I don't think that's what's going on here...

      Really? How can someone not just dislike Star Wars but hate it? Don't let the cruddiness of the prequel movies ruin your thoughts on the originals. The originals have some of the greatest movie moments this side of Godfather. And Lord of the Rings? Well I'll let you have that. I liked the movies but realized they were flawed visions.

      Well there goes my idea for a Star Wars story. Someone beat me to it.

      But seriously, I like this crossover idea. What's even better is I'm just listening to the score of the first movie without any dialogue and it weirdly synchs up perfectly with my reading style. Also I love the Portal 2 reference.

      I think I'll have to skip this. I wish I people would make crossovers that didn't involve the same story only with different characters playing the role. Like Melodia said, that's more fusion than anything else. Don't get me wrong, I'm not trying to say that this story is bad, I'm just saying it's not the kind I'm interested in.

      What would really be interesting would be for the SW universe to make contact with Equestria, either by teleport gone wrong, a ship finding them, etc. Stories like that (especially ones dealing with the shock involved when contact is made) really interest me. Sadly it's hard to find ones like that, since many seem to just be Star Wars with pony characters.

      This was surprisingly good.

      Trixie is definately the emperor.

      Gilda makes it clear that the boss man was male and RD called him short. There are very few male MLP charcters and Spike is just about the only one who could be described as short. So my guess is that Spike = Jabba.

      I'm guessig AJ will be Lando and Pinkie will be Yoda.

      I wanted to like this, but there's a distinct lack of originality here that kills it. Pony Effect is a good example of how to do this type of story correctly. The ponies interact with the characters of the games and interesting interactions occur that weren't in the Mass Effect games. In this, all the major Star Wars characters are replaced and we can already know how the characters are going to interact from the beginning.

      That, and Galactic "Empony" is really, really lame.

      2/5: Writing is good, but lacks ideas.

      I'm sorry but i found it increasingly difficult to enjoy this story myself. The constant interrupts like then, suddenly, and however tend to really break the flow of any story making it that much harder to enjoy. Also i notice a serious lack of description. I'm not saying you should be overly descriptive like Tolkien, but maybe expand more. Try expanding on each scenes description. Think about what's going on and try to put in as much detail as you can without going overboard. (like J.R.R Tolkien is prone to doing. Still love his book's but Buckin-ell his descriptions can get a little dry.) Also you might want to work on your pacing and character development as well. The story was rather quick and the character interactions were rather cookie-cutter.

      Thank you for your comments so far. Considering that this is my first fanfic ever, this story is going far better than I thought it would. That being said:

      With the benefit of several months worth of hindsight, yeah, I can agree with calling the Empire "empony" being lame. I'll probably edit that particular pun out of the story.

      As for the myriad of complaints that this story is a boring fusion, sorry, but that's how this story is, for now. Since this is my first fanfiction, I wanted to start out with something close to my confort zone. That's not to say that every event will happen exactly as it does in the movies, though. Also, I do have an idea for an actual crossover that I may or may not be working on though... >_>

      I think it's great how the author didn't make this a carbonite copy *brick'd* of the movie, and deviates from it just enough to make it enjoyable. Also, the use of Fluttershy and Angel as C3PO and R2D2 took me by suprise. Nice humor too.
