This is not Pony Swag damnit! Pony Swag was a rap by Swagberg and Maros, neither of them are present and not too mention there isn't any actual rapping. I am loving and tolerating you so much right now, Silva Hound.
@Polaris Granted, the other tracks aren't bad, but I'm still confused at the intent. Is this meant to be something for people to rap over? An explanation of the purpose of this EP would be nice.
I agree, but I do not think Silva would do such a thing, not now anyway, not after having already released 2 albums (1 album and 1 EP, more accurately). But it's a pity that the lead song is actually the worst of the album. The other tracks are more in Silva's style, and really better than "Pony Swag Too".
I kinda stopped paying attention to silva when i found out he is a strong-belief christian.
That and the whole, fact that hes trying to cash in on the pony fandom in a rather unethical way...(which is amusing because that should fly in the fact of his beliefs..)
Loved that Octavia track too! Good stuff. I agree with Polaris that "Swag" track rap backbeat attempt was less worthy than the usual style. *listens to the Octavia track again*
Hating somebody's work because of their personal beliefs? Dangerous (and silly) road to go down. Same goes for ascribing motives--Getting excited about a topic, making a bit of fun art, and asking for two bucks for it is "unethical" and "trying to cash in"? Relax. If it's not to your taste, ignore it--Just leave the judgmental attitude elsewhere. I don't see anyone bitching about the fact that Beethoven's Fifth was the inspiration for the Octavia track. *listens to it yet again*

fuck yes
ReplyDeleteBut I would never, "swat," a pony.
ReplyDelete@Feloua Let alone do it a second time.
ReplyDelete...nice typo, Seth...
ReplyDelete...So is this supposed to just be a backing track for a rap? I was expecting an actual Pony Swag sequel, not just the backbeat.
ReplyDeleteNot too shabby. And ooh, an "Octavia" song in there I see. I listened to it and I like it.
ReplyDeleteLIES THIS IS NOT RAPS ABOUT PONIES!
ReplyDeleteTo his credit t is pretty close to g on a QWERTY keyboard.
ReplyDeleteWhat trash.
ReplyDelete1. Use of the the Pony Swag name to get attention.
2. Not a rap.
3. Requesting purchase for downloading the tracks.
= Fail.
This is the shameful behavior. But obviously not illegal.
Silva Hound is obviously using The Pony Swag following to get click though views for something that is completely different.
Come back with a rap that is free to download before you use the pony swag name.

It's a different kind of swag, but it's still a pony swag. And his songs are still superb, so don't be shy and go buy, he really deserves it.
