And Cheerilee, too, I guess.
Is it just me, or do these particular toys look a little less dumb than what we already have? Or am I just crazy, and they're the same mold? I'm sure someone will correct me in the comments either way.

CUTIE MARK CRUSADER TOYS YAAAAAAAAY
ReplyDeleteThey do look a little better. Still not worth the effort though.
ReplyDeleteIn before fir--oh, damn it.
ReplyDeletexD In all seriousness, though, these actually DO look a little bit better than most.

ReplyDeleteshow accurate toys plz, 3d print the gmod models
ReplyDeleteThe toys creep me out for some reason...
ReplyDeletePony School Pals doesn't have the same ring as Cutie Mark Crusaders. Ah well.
ReplyDeleteCould be better but they are better than most.
ReplyDeletePony school pals? The PSP?
ReplyDeleteSCOOTALOO!
ReplyDeleteYay Cheerilee!
ReplyDeleteHave Money, Will Buy!
ReplyDeleteI just today got the Toys 'R Us "Blind Bag" set and the rest of the brushable mane 6, so this new set needs to be mine
WE'RE CUTIE MARK CRUSADER PONY SCHOOL PALS, YAAAAAAAAY!
ReplyDeleteThat new Apple Bloom looks like a urinal cake.
ReplyDeleteeBAY customs are still head and shoulders above anything Hasbro is producing right now...
ReplyDeleteI must buy this NOW!
ReplyDeleteSadly most stores in Calgary seem to hate ponies, exept superstore, they have the best selection ever, I NEED THE CMC, I have plans...... AND CAPES!
This is just wonderful! :D I've been waiting for this for months! (:
ReplyDeleteThese toys are actually correct. The only reason I bought any of these (http://dl.dropbox.com/u/2318787/Photo%20Aug%2023%2C%209%2014%2052%20PM%20%28HDR%29.jpeg) was because of the picture in the bottom left. The toys themselves are very inaccurate.
ReplyDeleteINB4 someone gets Sweetie Bell and covers her in poop and posts pictures on the interwebz.
ReplyDeleteThey are pretty decent, yes, but I'm still waiting for my fully aticulated pony action figure
ReplyDeleteCUTIE MARK CRUSADERS SHOW-INNACCURATE TOYS! YAY!!!
ReplyDelete.... still no cutie mark.
I really wish they would actually use some expressive eyes indicative of personality instead of the EXACT same vacant stare for all of them. When you put them in a row like that and show how they all have the same face, it's mildly creepy.
ReplyDeleteThey finally get Scootaloo's name right.
ReplyDeleteAnd Cheerilee's cutie mark is still outdated.
ReplyDeleteHey, look at that! Characters in a box set that MAKES SENSE in context with the show!
ReplyDeleteCommon, those are the same shit that the rest...
ReplyDelete@KShrike
ReplyDeleteBeat me to it, heh.
I'm not paying a dime until I see some accurate toys.
CMC's bodies are almost as large as Cheerlie's. Hasbro fails at proportions in toys.
ReplyDeleteI don't know if anyone else has noticed, but look at the background of the inside of the box. Look familiar?
ReplyDeleteI'ma wait for someone to make a diorama out of it.
Cutie Mark Crusaders Live Musical Stage Performers are ready to go!
ReplyDeleteAwesome!
ReplyDeleteI would looooove to get that! =D
full diorama with all there stage paint and outfits YES of god YES!!!!!
ReplyDeletethere is a problem here tho...that EVERYONE needs to think about....Hasbro is in the making of the cartoon to make money off the merch...if the merch dont sell expect the show to get cancled.......so EVERY-brony needs to keep that in mind when they diss on the toys....ill admit the models are crap and need a re-work..along with the WTF pink celestia(yet white in the comercial?!?!?)...so we need to buy the merch
i didn't know they went to the same school...
ReplyDelete"Pony School Pals"
ReplyDeleteLol. Oh, Hasbro, you card.
They look the same to me, except that Scootaloo's wings are tiny, which amuses me to no end.
ReplyDeleteIt's just like every other major pack, get ponies and a random pet.
ReplyDeleteApplebloom, Sweetie Belle, Cheerilee, and a pet chicken!
"Pony School Pals"? Dammit.
ReplyDelete...yeah, I'll probably still get them.
@amddude
ReplyDeleteOh if only i had Maker Bot, i could do just that....
@amddude
ReplyDeleteNo, definitely don't do that.
I need these to go with Twilight and Fluttershy on the shelf in my dorm.
ReplyDeleteCUTIE MARK CRUSADER REVENUE GENERATORS! YEAAAAH!!!
ReplyDeleteGreat, now I can buy it.
ReplyDeleteIf anyone asks, I'm getting a PSP.
DO WANT DO WANT, TAKE ALL MY MONEY <3
ReplyDeleteI thought sweetie belle go's to a different school.
ReplyDeleteToys that don't have the demented heads?
ReplyDeletePRAISE HABSRO!
I'd rather they make show accurate plushes. Just sayin..
ReplyDeleteThe molds used for the filly's are of course slightly smaller than the regular ones are. But I'd buy these. :)
ReplyDeleteI love that the backdrop is from their 80s rock ballad. I think even those things they're standing on were in the episode!
ReplyDeleteThey still kinda look like Twilight after getting the can stuck on her face in Party of One.
ReplyDelete@Woof Hooves This is very true; in the end the only thing that will keep the show running is good official merch sales - it won't matter how well liked the show is, no sales=no point. I'm not a fan of the plastic models, but I'm seriously thinking about making a 'tactical purchase' or two.
ReplyDeleteThe filly wings are accurate, if they weren't already.
ReplyDelete"Pony school pals"? They're the CMC, they're not even all in Cheerilee's class!
ReplyDeleteI think I would actually buy this :)
ReplyDeleteI'd just have to get my hands on a regular Cheerily and a regular Apple Bloom too, since those two are standing in different poses in this set.
Also gotta buy Twilight so I can complete my mane 6!
They are exactly the same kind of models we have.
ReplyDeleteBUT, it's a good thing we have Scootaloo in the package as well. I don't like her, but at least she now has a model that's not a G-3.5 fish-mouthed pony. Plus, Cheerilee in the pack adds a lot of quality to this deal. I also love the backdrop. It's the CMC stage! That's frigging cool.
I will be buying these, but they will be getting complete remods.
ReplyDeleteScootaloo (best pony) will need new hair, or at least restyled (they all need that, scissor time).
Apple Blossom is so yellow she's glowing, into the dye pot with her and some new hair while we are at it.
Sweetie Bell... meh, just a mini Rarity anyway, new hair.
Cheerilee will get a new cutie mark, that one is just ugly as sin. Again, new hair.
Background, that is perfection but I might make some crumbling props :)
But, if only they were Fashion ponies, I much prefer modding them.
It would be nicer if they were called the "Cutie Mark Crusaders" and looked just a tad more like they do in the original show.
ReplyDeleteOh well.
If Apple Don't heave her bow i will go in a killing spree.
ReplyDelete@Linkeh24
ReplyDeleteWhy?
Look at Cherilee's body - that's a new body model! The regular Cherilee has the same body as all the other ponies.
ReplyDeleteThese look like newer molds. The size difference is the very first thing I notice. Hasbro is clearly TRYING to get the models close to show accuracy.
ReplyDeleteI'd buy it, I love the CMCs and would love having a set of 'em here on my desk with the mane 6.
Dude, the background image is from the show.
ReplyDeleteTiny chicken wings!
ReplyDeleteThere are too many Sweetie Belles! This makes the fourth release with her (Sweets Boutique, Carnival set with Apple Bloom, Ice Cream Train Car & Pony School Pals) which I think makes her the most re-released character that's not part of the mane six. Of course, this is the third Cheerilee release and the second Apple Bloom. At least Apple Bloom has a different pose. All the Sweetie Belles have been in the same pose so far and the only one that's different is the Sweets Boutique version because she has bangs.
ReplyDeleteThe likely reason the set isn't called the Cutie Mark Crusaders is so the toys can still be sold to kids that don't watch the show (there are several countries that have the toys, but not the show) because they wouldn't know what CMC means.
And calling them the Cutie Mark Crusaders is just inviting controversy.
ReplyDeleteI live in the US and never see anything other than basic stuff...why Hasbro, why?
ReplyDeleteHasbro
ReplyDeleteY U NO MAKE GOOD TOYS?
