This is also the guy that made the Luna Orchestral songs. I really recommend subbing him. He's constantly putting out great music anywhere from Classical to Rock.
We've had classical musicians in the community for a while now. It's just that the classical stuff tends to get over-looked compared to the more techno-like stuff. Plus, there's' not as much of it floating around. And Baschfire has been around a while now. lol
I liked them all, he puts out some pretty nice pieces.
@Octavia That's what you get when you have a person that practically breathes music and has perfect pitch. (and isn't lazy about uploading his stuff like me :P... not that I have perfect pitch...) Unfortunately you probably won't get any funky atonal stuff with quarter tones though. :\
#1- Pretty good. I like the runs in it. My fave of the three this time.
#2- While technically not pony in essence, it still is a good retake of a classic Zelda theme. I can clearly feel the darker tones that I assume was intended.
#3-Hehe, I have to agree with MASTERLINKX on that one, I hear Super Mario Galaxy when I listen to that one. Still a great fanfare though.
Practically 90% of the music I listen to is one of two things: Techno(Trance/Dub/D&B) and Classical(Piano and Orchestrated)....and this community excels in both! Great job Baschfire...can't wait for more.
But yes, I'll give a nice biased opinion, in reverse order!
#3: As I pointed out on Skype, this borrows heavily (and literally) from Super Mario Galaxy 2, specifically the Sky Station theme...I think the music is detracted because it's not absolutely 100% your own as a result.
#2 was nice, regardless of whether it was pony or not...needs to be sadder though...:P

ReplyDeleteYes! Octavia!
ReplyDeleteHa, it's a Baschstravaganza! Good for you, Baschie. :D
ReplyDeleteAnd now, listening time~
Oh my. All my music. Who put song of sadness in there? I did not send that <_<
ReplyDeletewith a title of Song of Sadness, I was expecting slow, sad piano music. Or maybe i've been listening to Stairway To Madness far too much. <.<
ReplyDeleteGosh Dangit Basch! Why must you make amazing music.
ReplyDeleteSong of sadness isn't even pony related... still good music I guess.
ReplyDeleteThe beginning of #3 sounds like Super Mario Galaxy
ReplyDeleteYay, classical music!
ReplyDeleteGeez, you have a powerful gift.
ReplyDeleteAll three are very nice. The Majesty song gave me a Zelda vibe while listening.
ReplyDeleteNeed more orchestral stuff. Enough with this dubstep.

ReplyDeleteAll of these were pretty good, nothing too outstanding from any but they were made well.

I could swear #3 is in Mario Galaxy.
ReplyDelete@streek471 It just sounds kinda similar really. There are elements of sky station in there, as was pointed out to me
ReplyDeleteNot bad, but no song (that I've heard) has surpassed the sadness that a solo piano can play

YES. FUCK YES. I love this stuff. Basch, you get a tip of my hat.
ReplyDeleteI love the electro stuff. But I just wish there were more of the classicals.
ReplyDeleteI'm a big Octavia fan myself :3

#1 was nice as well, that got a like from me!
Beautiful music, no doubt. Specially the first one.

ReplyDeleteI'm not completely sure where you get this as a remake for zelda. This is a song written a few years ago. My first one actually.
I'm Not A Fan Of Slow Pieces, But These Were Really Nice!
ReplyDeleteEspecially The 1st One
THe first one literally brought me to tears as to how beautiful it was, the picture didn't help too XD
ReplyDeleteGreat work, and I seriously love this fandom!!!
One year later and I'm still joyously listening to "Les essences du vent"! Bravo, baschfire!
