I went to the park at the end of the street the other night as just past midnight. I went to stand at the top of the watch tower, its about 4m high. Looking up at the moon, just reflecting on my life so far, I started singing the chorus of the third one to myself.
Just as I was finishing the last line, a gentle gust of wind blows across the grass and treetops, as if acknowledging my song to the darkness.
one of the few moments in my life worthy of tears...
@slizardmaster I actually listen to the first original one all the time, its so touching and such, especially if you know where it came from, that scene was so sad...
I went out to a hill nearby my place, it's a school park and there was a bench there, It was a relatively dim night, the cloud cover was hiding the night sky. i occassionally take my guitar in case i get inspiration. I sat down and started playing #3 there and as i sang it the clouds cleared with a light breze... finished the song and just sat in silence for a while...
you know....if(should say when...gotta think positive)they put out a Pony soundtrack CD
there are 2 bonus tracks i want on it 1) the "good" version of the CMC talent show song that has been mentioned a few times 2) a full length version of Fluttershy doing hush now quiet now
#1: Weird. I think it would've been better if it had stayed closer to Fluttershy's voice.
#2: ... That ... What ... Did ... Really unusual song, but fairly befitting of Discord. I can only say "fairly befitting", though, because if it were truly befitting, it would be too random and too chaotic for me to enjoy. As it is, it's a keeper. Still not quite sure how much I like it, but I'm intrigued enough to try it a few more times, at least.
#3: I prefer the Diss Order Club Mix, but this stripped-down mix proves the basic quality of the song and Eurobeat Brony's performance.
Someone much wiser than me said that you cannot be sure of a song's quality unless you sell it in a badly lit bar with just vocals and an acoustic guitar for backing.
the third one could be awesome but the vocals seems to have been taken from the original and slowed down to fit the tempo. Not TOO badly done, but the rythm is often off because of that. A shame really... now if the singer could sing it again "live" with those instruments, it would be perfect.
number 1 was weird, but as someone said earlier, Fluttershy makes even the weirdest things adorable
number 2, I'm surprised not to have seen dubstep for discord earlier, seems so obvious :p

@Dusty the Royal Janitor 50 Bits!
ReplyDeletethe Orchestrastep is rad, man.
ReplyDeleteDear lord that first one sounds eerie as hell. Actually, it also kinda sounds like someone set her voice to music from Sword of Mana.

ReplyDeleteWow. That's very touching actually. Makes you really wonder...
@Apsuenbwyfer11 *sheds tear*
ReplyDeleteI guess between the 1st video and the Banjo Kazooie one earlier I'm gonna have to replay some old stuff.
ReplyDeleteReally I never realized how good that was but still instantly knew I head it from somewhere.
I love #3, it sounds so nice, this is one of my favorite Luna based songs and in the top 5 for my favorite in general.

@Lazulic
ReplyDeleteI'm betting 50000000 bits on that one.
Gonna buy myself a private Portal to Equestria.

@Apsuenbwyfer11 and @SteampunkBrony From your lips to Luna's ears.
ReplyDeleteI love that song. It's so moving. Amazing stories, both of you. :)

@All Glory to Fluttershy
ReplyDeleteIf the soundtrack CD has one of these, I'll buy it. If it has both, I'll pay regular retail.

ReplyDeleteClearly, #3 is a song of high quality.
First one struck me as perhaps slightly odd, but it was strangely cute too. Oh Fluttershy, you make even odd things adorable.
ReplyDeleteOrchestral Chaos. That is a very interesting piece of music for sure. Unique mix of genres. But naturally, I rather kinda like it.
The Luna remix is alright. It's got a nice gentle flow to it. Though I prefer some of the other remixes more myself.

@All Glory to Fluttershy
ReplyDeleteI couldn't agree more
Also, I lover the third one. A great spin to a great song.
I think 3 needed some adjustment with the vocals. They sounded a bit out of sync in places, especially the chorus.
ReplyDeleteWell, I'm convinced.
ReplyDeleteSuper Pony Galaxy, with Fluttershy as Rosalina. Make it happen, guys.
@Magnanimous
ReplyDeleteWell, it hits roughly 400000 a day, so 100 bits says Wednesday.
CHRONOSHY. AHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH
ReplyDeleteWhy does everyone dubstep skrillex?
ReplyDelete#1. That one frame of CMC poping up on 0:05 is really bothering me.
ReplyDeleteIv'e heard the 3 rd one ages ago, just without the words
ReplyDeleteI love the third one, can't stop listening to it.
