Fan made flash animation of the show is surprisingly rare. You'd think it'd be more common when the show itself is also made with it. The ponies in #1 look fairly accurate to the show, would be nice to see more flash like it.
@Blinky I can see why you'd think that, but Flash is horribly annoying to animate with, especially with symbols. It's even more difficult to animate well. Traditional frame by frame is so much easier (though much more time consuming), which is why FiM's animation deserves extra commendation.
If anything she would use a burst-fire P-90 at mid-range. Complemented by a Beretta M9 with tracer rounds, for issuing orders to a squad. Medium armor, and a careful but direct approach/attack.
@Firleycat Well, she is a vaguely equinoid robot. Uncanny valley is right where they were aiming.
Mildly disappointed by the first; if you're going to have ponies causing senseless destruction it needs to at least be done well, instead of looking like you photoshopped a couple ponies onto one of those "stick figures with guns lolz" animations all over the internet.
Who knew a chicken could cause such angst to an advanced, psychotic, science-obsessed personality construct? Then again, she doesn't like birds much, does she?
How exactly is a Michael Bay/Modern Warfare homage with ponies related to Band of Brothers? Maybe if you had Fluttershy take a round to the flank, slowly bleeding out while Twilight Sparkle holds her while screaming for a medic, who arrives just after Fluttershy passes on... yeah, then you'd have something close.
Fuck it, I'm gonna make my own Band of Bronies. That's the one good thing I can say about it- it has inspired me to make something superior (which shouldn't be too hard, but that wont mean I'm half-arsing it)
@SSGTPaingod I look forward to seeing that. Sincerely.
As for #2, OMG. That was GOOD. And I haven't played Portal 2. I have a Portal game stuck on level 4 or so until I get off my arse and install Steam on either my Linux lappy with Wine or see if they have a Mac version (hah).
I'm friends with the pony who made this, and I think I speak for all of us when I say that he really outdid himself in this. If MLP was made with Blender, then he would've been hired in ten seconds flat. I can't wait to see what he makes next.

Yes, aperture pony, but I thought it was aperature.
ReplyDeleteWow that FIRST was kinda wierd
ReplyDeletePony GlaDoS is staring into my soul.....
ReplyDelete#1 is awesome
ReplyDeletePortal 2 is 20% cooler
They were both weird, but awesome!
ReplyDelete#1 was confusing... Pinkamina with a mini-gun and Fluttershy with an RPG, it can't get much more awesome.
ReplyDeleteI love #2, too bad I can't marry it, GLaDOS says so...
... *Twitches.* Why must they keep making these Portal crossfails!?
ReplyDeletePinkie Pie with a Gatling Gun? What could possibly go wrong?
ReplyDeleteThe first was alright.
ReplyDeleteThe second one was effing creepy O_O

ReplyDelete#1 At first I was excited for a Band of Brothers crossover....but then I was majorly disappoint.
ReplyDelete#2 Was actually pretty well done

I love the portal pony. She is scary in a good way. There should be a fic series about her running experiments on ponies in the future.
ReplyDelete#1 I rewatched that AJ portion like three times. That hammerspace was just too shocking to not watch.
ReplyDelete#2 A definite improvement upon the first one, and I liked the first one as it was.
These are both great. I'd say awesome, but I think I've used up my allottance of that word for the week.
ReplyDeletePinkamena Diane Pie is heavy?
ReplyDeleteAlso, i loved 2nd one, and never played the portal 2.
Aperture pony was damn creepy. But also amazing.
ReplyDeleteThat war thingy was just... meh.
Aside from the fact that the pony GLaDOS looks like she crawled out of the uncanny valley, the Portal video is very well made.
ReplyDeleteThe 1st one is nice.
ReplyDelete#2 I like the model also... but it needs more action to be more interesting.
I like the last bit though. XD
...Band of Brothers is WWII, right?
ReplyDeleteSo why does Rarity have an M-16, and Pinkie have a minigun?
@Latias4Ever
ReplyDeleteCrossfail?
That video was awesome!
Fluttershy... with an RPG?? PREPOSTEROUS!

...
Don't judge me.
YAY FANIMATION!!
ReplyDeleteInternets. You have won them.

ReplyDeleteBecause "Friendship is Magic!"
Huh, some bug wouldn't let me comment for a while. Weird. Now what was I going to say?
ReplyDeleteIs that outline Scootaloo? Looks like her to me! And very nice animation on GLaDOS pony!
The GLaDOS pony was done very well. Good lip synching. I only wish that they eyes were yellow/gold, as they're supposed to be.
ReplyDeleteI find it amusing that people thought the aperture pony would be *less* creepy with eyes...
ReplyDeleteWho knew a chicken could cause such angst to an advanced, psychotic, science-obsessed personality construct? Then again, she doesn't like birds much, does she?
ReplyDeleteWow, great animation in the first, and definitely something well-done in the second.
ReplyDeleteEnjoyed them very much ^^
Modern weaponry in WW2? BOOOOOOOOOOOOOO! ANACHRONISTIC!!!
ReplyDeleteTwilight in #1 is just like... that's her alright
ReplyDeleteGLaDOS pony was staring into my soul...
ReplyDeleteFluttershy with an RPG!? My life is complete.
ReplyDeleteIt feels good.....
ReplyDelete@Daisymare

@Jelfes
ReplyDeleteActually, Just Aperture.
That makes it A-Per-Ture
not A-Per-a-Ture.
Reference the song. 3 syllables work better.
I thought they were both pretty cool. Especially the first one. Think I remember seeing the second one being worked on a while back.
ReplyDeleteScootaloo's tenacity is in the 98th percentile!
ReplyDelete@Jelfes
ReplyDeleteThe ,,aperture" is correct, see http://oxforddictionaries.com/definition/aperture (it is indeed a not-so-often used word).
GLaDOS is a creepy pony. I think I'll invite Scootaloo to go skiing in the uncanny valley. To make up for the scootabuse. You monster.
ReplyDeleteSo...
ReplyDeleteWhere's the moon cannon??
Yeah, I mad at the first one.
