Rarity seems to be developing a bit of a temper. And with Dash -- only three arrests for assault? I wonder if that was due to her pounding the stuffing out of those three pegasi jocks who made fun of her and Fluttershy.
And what was that with abducting the royal pet, Fluttershy? I believe the punishment for that is being banished and then thrown into jail in the place you have been banished to.
A guard tried to arrest Fluttershy once. Have you ever seen a grizzled, veteran warrior stared into early retirement by a pastel-colored mare? The ponies who did wish they could forget.
@wackyteen Well, when a third of the population can take to the skies at will, any government would be out of their mind to not regulate that sort of thing.
More in-character than the last comic in the series, but only Pinkie's and Rarity's answers were really amusing. (Actually, Rarity's statement in the second panel doesn't really seem in character; I think it would've been better as a silent panel, with Rarity wearing a threatening smirk.)
Eh, honestly, I found their answers to be a bit predictable. They're pretty much the answers someone would expect if they were really sticking to the characters stereotypes. Not quite as clever as I was hoping. But still, nice comic.
@Nightmare Moon And then Twilight and her friends dispelled you (which makes you, what, a ghost now?). At least poor Discord has statue in his honor.
Now there's something that needs doing, Equestria needs to erect a statue in honor of Nightmare Moon. They can set it up next to Discy's in Celestia's flower garden.
I don't think there is either, but then again, human running!=pegasi flying (for a number of reasons, but for now I'll just focus on speed). The fastest human footspeed recorded is just under 30mph, and probably can't be maintained for any length of time over a few minutes. Pegasi, as evidenced by Rainbow Dash, are capable of maintaining speeds much greater than that for longer periods of time than we ever could.
That in mind, most governments would probably see it more fit to regulate the latter as opposed to the former because the latter poses a greater risk to people/ponies and property.
(All of this, of course, assumes that protection of life and property is what a government has in mind when regulating something. YMMV, obviously. Also, I know I didn't mention anything about speed in my first post, and I'm sorry about that; I'm just trying to explain why a government would regulate pegasus flight.)
Love these things. When did Twilight disturb the peace? Sure, Rainbow, not your fault. I think Fluttershy's hiding behind her mane again, but it's cute enough for me not to care! ^3^
Where's my 40% clop that's left over? Unless Fluttershy is lying, I thought I heard she got arrested for indecent exposure once... wait, that can't be right...
Even such acts of courage and bravery shouldn't go unrewarded, Princess Celestia. However... that still should not give them the green light to act like that in the public eye.
I never said they don't get in trouble and I did say "most". Some things are overlooked though.
Besides it was Luna who set those fines in the first place. Not to mention she is back, just leaving me to talk to the insufferable nobles; she didn't even show up at the Gala.
Again... interesting information. It's all secrets and lies, you highness. Celestia should be more mature with the fine situation here. Because, how are suppose to pay these fines, hmm? I'm serious on this.
Flying over the limit by 10 Mph = 500 gold bit fine.
@Retired Shadowbolt Commander What!? That's ten-times what I assigned back when I held the clerical position! The worst fee any fine should have cost was a hundred and twelve bits!
And you think I did? Besides you might want to look again, It was a bit more than a century. It should probably be revised sometime, the original idea was to ensure we made money from Bluebloods type.
No, of course not its not like I was threatened with the stare if I told anyp- uhm...nevermind.
Flutterhy has nothing at all to do with it. (thats my story and i'm sticking to it)
and besides I do my own paperwork, Luna offered there. (Without asking how much there was I might add) Theres an entire day of Bluebloods proposals to deal with rarity and exempt him from tax. Just write no on all of them.
Heh? What's this... Umm... Princess Celestia, did Twilight cause another problem? This ticket was issued to her due to disrupting the peace in Ponyville. It's recent.
I just found one for... What the...? Fluttershy is asking for something of you. *offers paper*
Fluttershy, you are being arrested on account of one charge of animal abduction, one charge of animal cruelty, fifteen separate charges of animal husbandry, and one charge of extortion.
Hey!!! Half of those fines were from really excuses!!! I mean..... I can't HELP flying fast, it's second nature, and the other ones were just..... Yeah I got nothing.

there's a pegasus speed limit?
ReplyDeleteUm, no... question mark?
ReplyDeleteFluttershy... what aren't you telling me?
Pinkie's answer is from Fear & Loathing in Las Vegas! <3
ReplyDeleteYes, Fluttershy! Give in to your evil temptations!
ReplyDeleteI hope this series continues. it'd be great to see Rarity go postal on the camera.
ReplyDeleterarity needs to give us a straight answer for once dammit
ReplyDeleteEveryone knows Fluttershy is an evil mastermind, we get it already.
ReplyDeleteShe's cutely deranged, like Dot the Warner sister. She could possible get away with murder and by Silent Ponyville standards she did.
"Ummm, no?"
ReplyDeleteWell, they can't arrest you if they can't catch you I suppose.
Either that or they're too afraid of her after the Gala.
Rarity seems to be developing a bit of a temper. And with Dash -- only three arrests for assault? I wonder if that was due to her pounding the stuffing out of those three pegasi jocks who made fun of her and Fluttershy.
ReplyDelete@Nightmare Moon And that sure worked out great for you, didn't it?
ReplyDeleteI'm more interested in Spike. Only twice? Huh...he must have better gag reflexes than we are led to believe
ReplyDeleteOh Fluttershy... it's okay if you got too drunk one night and assaulted somepony...
ReplyDeleteAnd what was that with abducting the royal pet, Fluttershy? I believe the punishment for that is being banished and then thrown into jail in the place you have been banished to.

ReplyDeleteI imagine the Sonic Rainboom has to break some law or another. The Civil Sound Limit if nothing else.
ReplyDelete@m00finsan
ReplyDeleteWell, there's not a speed limit for running is there?
(Is there? I don't think there is.)
If the sonic rainboom can break a rock open, i suppose it breaks at least more than 50 laws.
ReplyDeletewouldn't twilight be responsible for what spike does since he is a baby?
ReplyDeleteEh, honestly, I found their answers to be a bit predictable. They're pretty much the answers someone would expect if they were really sticking to the characters stereotypes. Not quite as clever as I was hoping. But still, nice comic.
ReplyDelete@Ardashir
ReplyDeleteActually, yes. It did. I was able to taint one of the most powerful beings in the land.
@Nightmare Moon And then Twilight and her friends dispelled you (which makes you, what, a ghost now?). At least poor Discord has statue in his honor.

@Ardashir
ReplyDeleteOh, I'm hardly a ghost. I'm merely lying in wait for the perfect opportunity to enact my plan.
They may have dispelled me, but they didn't think that I had been feeding on her power all these years.
Hey, Fluttershy actually gave an answer this time.
ReplyDeleteHere I've had problems with fighting the Wonderbolts.
ReplyDeleteHow do they even pay those fines?!
Especially, Miss Rainbow Dash... seriously. *sigh*
I like how nervous Fluttershy looks here.
ReplyDeleteI'm tired of Fluttershy's dodging. Let Flutterbitch have a crack at these questions.
ReplyDeleteThere's something about the expressions this artist gives ponies that I just love

There are pony cops in Equestria?
ReplyDeleteBad pony

Whatcha going to do
Whatcha going to do when they come for you...
I love this artist's work each one was able to make me laugh. I look forward to another!
ReplyDeleteLove these things.

SO SO SOOOO fun, even with only 40% as much clop =P
ReplyDeleteOooh Rarity, Why so defensive?
ReplyDeleteI love this series, and look forward to every new one. :D
ReplyDeleteGreat comic series, loved Spike and Pinkies comments the best xD
ReplyDeleteWhere's my 40% clop that's left over? Unless Fluttershy is lying, I thought I heard she got arrested for indecent exposure once... wait, that can't be right...
ReplyDelete@Shadowbolt Commander
ReplyDeleteThe wonderbolts are exempt form most fines along with Twilight and her friends.
One of the benefits of saving Equestria.

Don't you agree, hmm?
@Celestia I had to pay 100 bits for a lawyer, 50 bits for repairs and 500 for bail. Anything need saving?
ReplyDeleteThis comment has been removed by the author.
ReplyDelete@CynicalMuse
ReplyDeleteThat's sad that you had to pay those outrageous fines. Sigh... Equestria needs Princess Luna to return.
@Shadowbolt Commander
ReplyDeleteI never said they don't get in trouble and I did say "most". Some things are overlooked though.
Besides it was Luna who set those fines in the first place. Not to mention she is back, just leaving me to talk to the insufferable nobles; she didn't even show up at the Gala.
@Celestia
ReplyDeleteInteresting information, Princess.
According from her, she was at the Gala, but she was scared off by some pony... Do you know who by chance?
@Celestia
ReplyDeleteThose fines were set over a century ago, and you left it on me to even set them up. You always were leaving me with the paper work.
And I never liked going to your Galas. They were always boring and just made the days drag on.
@Luna
ReplyDeleteAgain... interesting information. It's all secrets and lies, you highness. Celestia should be more mature with the fine situation here. Because, how are suppose to pay these fines, hmm? I'm serious on this.
Flying over the limit by 10 Mph = 500 gold bit fine.
That is outrageous.
@Retired Shadowbolt Commander
ReplyDeleteWhat!?
That's ten-times what I assigned back when I held the clerical position! The worst fee any fine should have cost was a hundred and twelve bits!
Fluttershy was arrested, remanded without bail, and convicted for 23 counts of murder. Apparently, excessive cuteness is a deadly force.
ReplyDelete@Luna
ReplyDeleteAnd you think I did? Besides you might want to look again, It was a bit more than a century. It should probably be revised sometime, the original idea was to ensure we made money from Bluebloods type.
and @Retired Shadowbolt Commander
Thats uhm...a secret, I have no wish to be on the recieving end of "The Stare"
I wonder how much that speeding ticket was :D
ReplyDelete@Celestia
ReplyDeleteI assume, since it was your idea to hold them in the first place.
And fine, I'll go deal with your paper work. One would think that after a century, you'd know how to do it yourself...
@Celestia
ReplyDeleteAhem, pardon me, Princess... does Fluttershy have something to do with this? I'm starting to wonder about your authority in Canterlot.
@Luna
No, ma'am. You go rest, you'll need to rise the moon soon.
I'll handle the paper work for you.
*looks at the paper work*
Is Celestia trying to get rid of Luna... this is too much!
Twilight didn't get arrested for disturbing the peace. She actually got arrested for causing a disturbance in the Force.
ReplyDelete@Retired Shadowbolt Commander
ReplyDeleteNo, of course not its not like I was threatened with the stare if I told anyp- uhm...nevermind.
Flutterhy has nothing at all to do with it.

and besides I do my own paperwork, Luna offered there. (Without asking how much there was I might add) Theres an entire day of Bluebloods proposals to deal with rarity and exempt him from tax. Just write no on all of them.

ReplyDelete@Nightmare Moon Truly? Ooh, here's hoping we get to see more of your shadowy self in the future, your majesty.
ReplyDeleteloving these
ReplyDeleteReally enjoying this comic series. I sure hope the artist makes more.
ReplyDeleteHey!!! Half of those fines were from really excuses!!! I mean..... I can't HELP flying fast, it's second nature, and the other ones were just..... Yeah I got nothing.
ReplyDelete60% LESS CLOP what we needed was 20% MORE CLOP
