Nope, I thought wrong, just a comic about Twilight being alone... *sniff sniff* WHY?! But, yeah, that first comic was good and the second one is pretty accurate, based on those examples. CMC: YAY(what they're thinking) Hahaha, this pony has no idea how much we're about to f*** up her s***!
Dang. That Discord comic. Pretty deep stuff there. I quite like how they portrayed it though. The stripping of their innocence in place for more "real world" thought patterns.
Second comic was kinda funny. But yes, Spike. She for realz.
People are going to turn Discord into a very deep and tragic story aren't they.
Also, still waiting on that fanfic based off the comic that shows discord as turning evil because he fell in love with celestia but celestia rejected him.
I actually openly applauded that first one. It captured the essence of Discord, if you dont mind me being cliche. At #2 yep its true, Ponies are trolls.
And that, the first one, is exactly why (or part of why) Twilight is the only one who remains saturated.
Other parts may include the desire for a helpless witness, the fact that Magic can't be found/taken until all the others are, and the fact that Twilight is the most mane character.
Mother of god, that first comic is creepy. But very deep. I want Discord to say that exact line to Twilight in part 2 (unlikely, I know, but it's totally what he's going for at the moment...)
I was thinking...is it my imagination, or do four of Twilight's friends still show some degree of loyalty to her, in spite of being turned? IIRC, their reactions appear to suggest that they still consider Discord to be an enemy.
Even if the truth is harsh, sometimes it must be heard. Lies do nothing but build up until the one telling them can't even remember who they are.
Generosity is its own reward, what comes around goes around. In the end greed amounts to nothing gained, leaving your memories a hollow husk.
Being laughed at hurts, but everybody has to play the fool sometimes. So when those that laughed at you are the fools, it is better not to become them and stay silent.
Kindness may only get you so far, but cruelty gets you nowhere. How does hurting everything do nothing more than further you to your own end? Cruelty only begets more and is too easy an act for anything to perform. In comparison it takes someone stronger to show kindness, especially so with those who have power and have yet to fall to its corruption.
Loyalty is guided by its heart. While the heart may be led astray, it's always trying to be in the right place. Duties do not tell you how to feel and it's a bad idea to be blindly loyal to a cause without knowledge of said cause. Fame is fleeting, use it to better the world instead of yourself.
Real friendship is hard to obtain, if you have friends hold them tight because they can scatter to the winds at a moments notice.
Friends can hurt each other, help each other and love each other. But most of all true friends don't let their friendship or the magic involved to simply die off.
2. I must be getting a lot of "yay" then. I'm pretty miserable when I'm not bored of insanity or misery.
As for the first one...I could honestly see this happening in the second episode. Twilight's all alone, but since she has experience in being all alone, she won't be any different.
In the second episode, we find a simple Little Pony Stare will strip the uncaring from his being. Then, he's all sweetness and understanding from now on?
@Ford This is true, though it can't last long if they stay as they are. I love the kind of wary "What's your game Discord?" look Fluttershy shoots him when she gets her wings back at the end.
I actually find it interesting... it seemed to me that Rainbow Dash didn't so much get stripped of Loyalty, but had it misguided and replaced, which I can see in the sense of duty. She didn't seem to react "I'll be a hero" for Cloudsdale, she seemed genuinely scared of what was going to happen to it if she wasn't there. Where the others he... opposed them, what he did to Rainbow Dash was more malicious, he used her own element to fail it.
The first one pretty much sums up Discord's little game very well. Since the key to the Elements of Harmony is the Magic of Friendship, then the best way to take that out is to break up the friendship.
Twilight's Element isn't Magic. It's the Friendship she developped with the other Mane Five. Break up that Friendship and her Element is gone. ...Which is why I think she, of all the ponies, will be the one who DOESN'T break, the one who doesn't allow herself to be "corrupted" by his powers.
Because her faith in her friends is just too strong.

ReplyDeleteThat second one is hilarious.
ReplyDeleteMy reply to Number 1: I hope this happens. I want to see Twilight crawling on the floor and suffering like a b*tch.
ReplyDeleteNumber 2: That seems like a legit scientific conclusion. I buy it.
I am supposed to be sad at the first comic? If so, well i didn't cry. I did however laugh at the second one.
ReplyDeleteI was going to say 'Yay!' for the pair of excellent comics, but I fear that it might be taken the wrong way...
ReplyDeleteUm, huzzah? Yippee?

ReplyDeleteFirst comic made me sad, second is typical Twilight thinking too hard into things.

Wow, number 1 is extremely well done! Also, number 2 was absolutely hilarious and totally true.

Kindness can sooth an aching heart...
ReplyDelete...but maybe they deserve to suffer.
The second one is funny. n.n Especially Twilight projecting her own Yay-rationale onto the others.
The first picture is a minor masterpiece... of despair.
ReplyDeleteThe second one... makes a disturbing amount of sense. Yay!
1: Nooooooo, I don't want Twilight to feel like me.
ReplyDelete@Jelfes
ReplyDeleteLOL, how involuntary fitting, a yay for Discord stuff.
That first comic is pretty deep shit.
ReplyDelete@Tosxychor Hah! I didn't even catch that... that means you all better prepare for misery, it's headed straight for you.
ReplyDeleteThe first is a bid sad. But the second made me lol Yay is the BURN! of the ponyverse xD
ReplyDeleteI actually openly applauded that first one. It captured the essence of Discord, if you dont mind me being cliche.
ReplyDeleteAt #2 yep its true, Ponies are trolls.
From now on, I'm going to yay when I troll

ReplyDeleteThe first one is very dark. It is interesting how dark you can interpret the first episode of this "little girl's show".
ReplyDelete"Cruelity"? "Loyality"?
ReplyDelete...

ReplyDeleteI doesn't matter how we're separated or what divides us. My friends are in my heart.
ReplyDeleteThe first one is a pretty deep comic. The second one is even deeper. :P
ReplyDeleteSCIENCE!!!
ReplyDeletehmm, they do seem to do the yey a lot don't they...
ReplyDeleteFunny, "yay" seems to have a whole different meaning in Equestria...
ReplyDelete1.

The first one, im feeling alot like twilight this week...
ReplyDeleteI commented before reading the comics. I do that alot.
ReplyDeleteOk the first one made me hate Discord on a whole new level. Its Trollestia tier now. We need Luna to come kick his scaley ass.
The second one, friggin LOL! It is too true.
The second is oddly true.

ReplyDeleteI believe you're thinking of the '80s MLP series, there.
The first comic is extremely well done, and chilling because so many people act as if they believe that way.
The second comic is amusing. Yay!

ReplyDeleteNumber 2: LOL

ReplyDeleteHa ha, that second one was pretty funny. Twilight notices all the awkward.

First one pretty much sums up why I think most of us adore Discord as a villain. Exceptionally well done.
ReplyDeleteFirst comic i agree was really well done, fits perfectly.
ReplyDeleteSecond one is just LOL too funny and too true.
But Twilight is on to MAGIC!
ReplyDeleteSeriously there should be another pony who's interest is SCIENCE! then we'll see the two fight for it! LOLOLOLOL
@Rohit Eligeti
ReplyDeleteIn Equestria magic is a science.
