First one is very cute. I was a little lost at it's story at first. But I think that's Twi's night from the time Luna raises the moon and they hang out, until the time Celestia raises the sun and they hang out. If I'm understanding it correctly. Also, a random sudden tree in Fluttershy's panel. :P
Oh dear. AJ lying is more a meme now than ever. But I do love her face and scrunched up nose when she lies. :> I also love the notepad he's holing. Dat cover. Hah.
The Pony version of Cole or Coal or whatever the way are a you am a spell his are a name is am be is holding up a note pad and it says "CUPCAKES FAN FICTION" or something. When I saw that I blinked and yawned.
I always liked how Twilight's cutie mark was essentially a prophecy in itself, with the six-pointed symbol of the element of magic surrounded by five stars representing each of her friends. As soon as Celestia found Twilight and Spike blowing the roof off of the magic academy with that newly formed mark on her flank, she would have recognized the little pony's role in reuniting day and night.
The first comic made me tear up. I guess it's just the idea of Twilight keeping silent vigil with the stars, and her friends showing up to keep her company, and, I don't know, it just touches my heart to see it. Twilight is a lucky mare, and she knows it.
Sniffle. The firstone is just... soooo....I like friends. Friends are great! The second one was a'ight I guess, mostly I got a chuckle out of the newspaper and notebook.
I really like the first comic; it's a simple little mood piece, but it's so well drawn and so perfectly in character that it gives me the warm fuzzies.
The second one, though... Am I the only one who finds it annoying that so many bronies insist RD & AJ are a couple for no other reason than that they're both tomboyish?
Pity LA Noire was so short. I really enjoyed the intense starring contests I would have with the NPCs. I wonder if that was legal back then, To spend 5 minutes starring in complete silence to see if they crack and then suddenly accuse them of something.
Did anyone else notice that in Fluttershy's panel on the first comic, there's a tree on the hill that wasn't there before and disappeared in the next panel?
@jodyjm13 IMO its not because they're tomboys but best friends that fight like an old married couple have a good chance of becoming an old married couple :3
@Firleycat Man if all he did was stare at you back then count yourself lucky. It was pretty much the wild west back then and no one cared to ask how many confessions were obtained. Just as long as you didn't leave so many bruises.
Yeah...if nothing else the popularity of the Rainbow Dash and Applejack coupling simply isn't due to them being tomboyish. I'll admit that this is extremely ridiculous, but I was shipping them after watching their fight in "The Ticket Master." Even if they are close friends who bicker a lot, there's so much chemistry there.
Though I admit that fan-art of AppleFib denying her relationship with Rainbow Dash is running the risk of being overdone...even though the sheer frequency of it amuses me, (Granted I've only seen three pieces, but they make up the majority I've seen thus far.)

ReplyDeleteThe top comic has cute nods to all of this.
Cmon, Cupcakes... no one likes Cupcakes. And rightfully so.
ReplyDeleteThe attention it gets, on the other hand. I don't think it's overhyped.
"Rainbow Dash is a lesbian.
ReplyDeleteScootaloo is a
Rarity is"
wonder how those were going to finish.
@TwilightI think it's saying "Scootaloo is a chicken."

ReplyDeleteI hate the shipping bull crap... but that was hilarious.
I've wanted to write a crossover fic with L.A. Noire starring Colt Phelps. Maybe Liarjack can be a witness now.
