You may have noticed that over the course of the Brony Community's existence, there have been a ton of super high quality pictures more than qualified to awesome up your desktop background. Maybe you found one once and stuck with it through thick and thin. Maybe you're like me and switched so many times that eventually you just broke down and set them all to auto-cycle. But keeping track of all the little buggers is a very tricky task at this point.
Cue a bright-eyed, highly motivated pony by the name of Sigma90. He is currently undertaking a huge project to compile as many wallpaper quality images as possible into a single document. They've even been organized by resolution, and cataloged for artist, and image title. There's currently 42 pictures gathered, with another 55 in queue (plus a couple links to pre-existing galleries). Available in google doc and published doc flavors, for those times when you've got to have pony but are running afoul of that 50-man limit. Enjoy perusing!

ReplyDeletePretty cool stuff, good work collecting these, Sigma90!
ReplyDeleteSigma90, I owe you a Gummy's Classy Cola if and when we ever meet. Good job Brony, and cheers!
ReplyDeleteWicked stuff.
ReplyDeleteWell looks like i finally found my new background! thx to all the artists if any of you are reading this!
ReplyDeleteThanks for the kind words! I've long wanted to contribute something, but I'm not really a creative person. I hope people find this useful.
ReplyDeleteQuick clarification in case anyone is wondering: (at this stage) both the Google Doc and published version are exactly the same and have the same content.
This has officially become the BEST DAY EVER! AND EqD is about to hit 30 mil!
ReplyDeleteSO FUCKING PUMPED
@Sigma Great job! someone has to be the twilight and organize everything! and that is a feat in itself.
ReplyDelete@Sigma Oh! almost forgot *pulls out a Gummy classy cola* You deserve this!
ReplyDeleteAwesome! Must save all! Yay~
ReplyDeleteI love me some pony wallpapers.
ReplyDeleteplease label each of them with the correct resolutions?
ReplyDeleteOops, Sigma left just before I could say thanks on Google Docs, so... Thank you, Sigma! You added another ~5 or so to my list of ones I somehow missed before! Awesome.
ReplyDeleteGotta love more pony wallpapers.
ReplyDeleteBTW, almost 30 million

ReplyDeleteThey should all have the correct resolution; either from the heading they are under or, for the "Other/Scaled" sections and the DA galleries, the resolutions are listed next to the image. If I've made a mistake or missed something, please let me know.

ReplyDeleteneed moar 1920 x 1080
ReplyDeleteI'm using the Rainbow Gantz image by JohnJoseco as my desktop. It works. Exactly 1600x900. Would that count?
ReplyDeleteWell well, and here I thought my collection of 150 odd wallpapers was small.I should probably contact this Sigma person, there's a lot missing here.
ReplyDeleteFukken' saved!
ReplyDelete@DeRockProject
ReplyDeleteYes, of course. If you could send me a link, that'd be great, or I'll check it as soon as I can.
@Draze
True, ~40 is a bit low at the moment though I have ~100 individual images total. If you count the galleries as well, you can get about another 100 images from them.
Everyone is more than welcome to suggest more to me - I can only link to what I know about.
Thank you for compiling this collection Sigma, and thank you for adding me to it as well. This is a great collection of wallpapers, many of them I'll have to add to my favourites.
ReplyDeleteAll those wallpapers...only two in my resolution...Son, I am disappoint...
ReplyDelete@Vega
ReplyDeleteOh quit it! I have a 16" laptop, there are no pictures for my resolution whatsoever. The Windows fill setting is good enough for too big images, and, as Seth said some time ago, Irfanview resizes too small ones snappily.
Wow thanks man, i was thinking of changing my wallpaper and this is the perfect opportunity (I'm getting so sick of the OS X Lion default background) :D
ReplyDeleteThis...is...AWESOME!!! =D
