Another pony convention is scheduled for June of next year! Currently planning/money gathering is taking place to make it as epic as possible. Have some copy paste after the break!
Wow that is quite the endeavor. This has a long time to gain a following and with Season 2 there's bound to be an influx of new bronies, I'm sure this will pick up steam. I'll try to help if I can as seeing this come to fruition would be pretty fantastic - a legit, massive, full-on brony convention.
Oh joy, we'll get to bombard Lauren in person with ridiculously anal questions!
"In Episode BF12, you were battling barbarians while riding a winged Appaloosa, yet in the very next scene, my dear, you're clearly atop a winged Arabian! Please do explain it!"
@RoseNot Tampa, but near it, I believe: "Just an update to those still interested, the picnic will be held at the Hillsborough River State Park in the Sabal Pavillion on September 3rd. Here's the address:
Guys, we live in an age where we can fly damn near anywhere in the country for a quarter of a months rent. I'm sure as hell going, and I live in Texas.
Ahhh.. Live in a tiny town in Georgia, where nobody has ever heard of friendship. ;____; My mother judges me for liking ponies. Nobody will go with me. Alas, I fear that this shall be but another year of closet bronydom.
for the love of luna, why can't my genetic research make a breakthrough already? im hoping that i can eventually grow a pair of wings for myself. when i do, i'm gonna dye them blue and fly there myself. better get to work on that rainbow bandanna too...
@Everyone complaining it's not in X timezone / coast...
Originally I had the idea for the convention to be in Florida but Tampa, Miami, and Orlando convention centers were far more expensive. Furthermore, it wouldn't be fair to anyone on the west coast to have to go so far. It was either Michigan or Florida. Michigan is closer to the central US, which means SOMEWHAT easier for people from all states to visit, including people from Canada.
Hell YEAH! I knew moving back to Michigan was a good idea! This is just one more notch but by Celestia's beard this is one hell of notch on top of going to a Wings game for the first time in years!
Did they just insinuate that Bronycon in New York isn't a convention? Thats kind of dumb. I mean The director Jayson Thiessen himself is gonna be at the one in september.
I will so be there if this happens and by luna it will if i have anything to say about it! I knew living in michigan would be worth something if only I could convert my friends to the herd...its lonely being the only brony I know. =/
I'm sad that this is on my 17th birthday (and the day after) because I probably won't be able to go. (I live in New Mexico after all.) It is 8 months away, so maybe when I get a job soon, I can save enough money to convince my mom to let me go. I'm gonna go see how much a flight to there is now so I have an Idea of how much cash I'll need...
Don't know how the name on that last comment fucked up so bad, but the name that was supposed to be there is shrimpchris (my NG account and others are by that name) Still using this screwed up thing so you guys know it's the same person though. I commented with that name before... I kinda forgot how to though. I'll figure it out.
Just so no one gets their hopes up, this is not going to happen.... http://www.canterlot.net/news-and-announcements/on-the-summer-sun-celebration-and-midwestria/

ReplyDeleteI'm perplexed. If you want people from the show to come to the convention, it makes the most sense to have it in Vancouver, doesn't it?
ReplyDeleteI live in northern Indiana, so this may actually be of some reasonable distance from my house. 0:

ReplyDeleteGuys, we live in an age where we can fly damn near anywhere in the country for a quarter of a months rent. I'm sure as hell going, and I live in Texas.
ReplyDeleteIt's gonna be a few years before I get to travel where I want. The problem is, bronytism might not be as strong by then. :/
ReplyDeleteAhhh.. Live in a tiny town in Georgia, where nobody has ever heard of friendship. ;____;
ReplyDeleteMy mother judges me for liking ponies. Nobody will go with me. Alas, I fear that this shall be but another year of closet bronydom.
@Athens

Finally! A good convention coming to where I live.
ReplyDeleteYAY!
GAH. Only 13, and I'm in MN.

ReplyDeleteWelp. Looks like I have a convention I definitely want to make it to next year! :D
ReplyDeletePonyfeathers! Going to this would be SO AWESOME~!
ReplyDeletefor the love of luna, why can't my genetic research make a breakthrough already? im hoping that i can eventually grow a pair of wings for myself. when i do, i'm gonna dye them blue and fly there myself. better get to work on that rainbow bandanna too...
ReplyDeleteI smell a road trip coming on. Anyone near Oregon? We can make a BRONY CONVOY.
ReplyDelete@adestroyer360
ReplyDeleteI agree with idea, we can flood the streets of the us, everywhere, on the way to the con.
Do start one up in fl bronies :)
Living in New Zealand in fun!

ReplyDeleteSHUT UP AND TAKE MY MONEY.
ReplyDeleteAnyway, nothing I like ever comes to Hawaii.
Oh yeah! I'm only an hour and a half away from Lansing! I am SO going to this!
ReplyDeleteDarn, I'm from Arkansas. That's a long ways away.
ReplyDeleteBut still, I just may have to make the effort.
@Everyone complaining it's not in X timezone / coast...

ReplyDeleteDid they just insinuate that Bronycon in New York isn't a convention? Thats kind of dumb. I mean The director Jayson Thiessen himself is gonna be at the one in september.
ReplyDeleteI need to know if I'm going to be in boot camp by the time this rolls around. I'll wait until it is about a month away before donation $100
ReplyDelete>MFW NY BroNYCon isn't a convention.
ReplyDelete>Me = Chief of security for said convention.
MY LIFE IS A LIE O.O
Seriously though, even though it's probably an honest derp-up, somepony might wanna get that line changed...
@Nanashi "No Names" Tanaka
ReplyDeleteIt is agreed, I couldve sworn I was security for a Brony Convention.
I was paying for a convention x.x
Though... if it's not a convention, heck we're pretty cool dudes if we got the director and seth coming to us.
On my next paycheck I'm going to donate, I want to see this happen!
ReplyDeleteI will so be there if this happens and by luna it will if i have anything to say about it! I knew living in michigan would be worth something if only I could convert my friends to the herd...its lonely being the only brony I know. =/
ReplyDeleteIt's too bad that I can't go, seeing as I live too far away, but I will donate so others can enjoy it!
ReplyDeleteI'm sad that this is on my 17th birthday (and the day after) because I probably won't be able to go. (I live in New Mexico after all.) ReplyDeleteFuck yeah, Michigan! I'm happy to be living here for once. Will be there if this goes through.
