    3. Excellent! Simply Excellent! Love the imagery and the whole "self-to-self" thing you did, especially the part with the mirror.

My only complaint? I TOTALLY HAD THIS IDEA AND WAS JUST ABOUT TO WRITE IT BUT THEN YOU COME ALONG AND AAAAAAAAA...

No but really. You did it better than I ever could. Great work.

    5. I want to read this but… not just before going to bed.
      Yup. Tomorrow morning's read. *nod*

    6. I just read this and left my remark on FiMFiction, but posting it here as well never hurt anyone.

I really enjoyed this. I've always been one to like more psychological types of dark stories compared to more violent or gory ones. I wasn't able to catch it on /co/, so it was nice to see it on here.

It's well deserving of a nice five-star rating.

    7. Amazing read. Pinkie Pie and Pinkamena sounded perfectly in character. I could easily imagine this a scene in the actual show.

    9. Great read. Really scared me at bits, and made me think it may be a prologue to...well, that fic >_>

    12. This. Is. Awesome. Dark, but not overtly grim, and you stay in character remarkably well. The twist with the mirror at the end is delightful.

    13. I do like this story a lot. The way Pinkie finds courage is most admirable, and shows that she is in control no matter how dire the situation.
Essentially there is a light that never goes out in the heart.

Honestly, we should call this Fanfic, PANCAKES!

    14. Very nicely done. I really hope we get another episode in season 2 further exploring Pinkie's dark side.

    15. This is a really nice deconstruction of Dark!Pinkie and the more grimdark interpretations of her character. It reconstructs the idea the Pinkie is strong and not just about to let the darkness inside her take over.

The atmosphere of the nightmare as well as the ending with the mirror were very well done and extremely touching. I could really feel the terror when that was appropriate and I rejoiced when Pinkie triumphed.

All in all a fic definitely worth reading. 5/5 stars

    16. You know... I find myself a bit more inclined to read a story with the 'Dark' Tag, since it doesn't automatically imply the ''kind'' of death and stuff from 'grimdark'.

But, I'm still suspicious about it... of ''How'' this Tag will be used...

      We will see.

    17. We really need a Pinkamina Diane Pie tag to make it easier to find crazy Pinkie Pie posts.

    18. Great short story, I don't usually read Dark stuff but this was one exception I was happy to make!

    20. If this was toned down and dumbed down I think it could be a great future "Nightmare Episode".

    21. Touching I must say, liked this piece of work.

    22. All I can really do is echo what other people have already said, but a very good read. Pinkie Pie's insecurities make me a sad pony. :(

    23. Glad everyone liked it. Not much to reply to, other than to say thanks for the kind words, and special thanks to everyone from /co/ who helped me write and edit the piece. Any further critique or constructive criticism wuld be more than welcome!

    24. I've been hoping for an exploration of Pinkie's psyche to pop up. This was good, but I don't really care for Pinkamena.

I have this picture in my head for a great story, but I'm a terrible writer. It goes like this:
Pinkie Pie wakes up and very calmly thinks to herself. She lists off things and says that they have been used too recently, and eventually thinks of her father. She decides to dedicate the day to her father.

More stuff would happen, but I just thought it would be a great character exploration. Pinkie Pie is always so happy because each morning she chooses something or someone she loves to be her source of joy for the day.

    25. I really enjoy stories that examine the Pinkamena side of things without resorting to Pinkie murdering everything in sight.

This one does a pretty good job examining everything in a way I could feasibly see Pinkie's subconscious doing, though the dialogue seemed somewhat stilted at times.

    26. Aside from the ending, which i thought should have been touched on a tiny bit more, this was a fantastic story to read!

    27. That was awesome! I really dig that the tone is so sinister, but doesn't take things too far. Great read!

    28. Funny how this is exactly the same idea I had. :\

Oh well, just one of many incomplete ideas rolling around my head that can be layed to rest.

    29. I enjoyed the psychological take on pinkamina in pinkies subconscious over the more common grimdark 'kill everyone cuz im sad' story. It's a breath of fresh air and a damn good story to boot.

    30. I've had dreams similar to this. They leave me quivering in terror for most of the next day, to be honest... I did like it, though. It's a very good show of the dark side of dreams.

      ReplyDelete
    31. Didn't really like it. In my opinion, it didn't have a real good climax, but it seems that you pleased a lot of other people so, good job!

      ReplyDelete
    32. ...meh, Pinkamena seems more Nightmare Moonish than Cupcakesish in this. I think there are other aspects of Pinkie's psych that could've been explored with this scenerio, but if it helps people get over the Pinkie-is-a-serial-killer thing then it was worth writing
