Weak bro...
Worth reading this. Short but well-paced.
ReplyDeleteWell deserving the [Sad] tag. However, Celestia is a tyrant regardless of the Nightmare Moon situation :P
ReplyDeleteFor the Lunar Republic!
I liked it. It's refreshing to have a well made short story to read. NMM is just awesome XD
ReplyDeleteI think this is my favorite interpretation of Celestia banning NMM. Makes her not seem like a total jackass like some others do.
ReplyDeleteEasy 5 stars. While a short fic, it was exceptionally well written and you deserve every ounce of star and praise you get.
ReplyDelete@mr-mushy No. Bad.WHY THE FRIGGIN HELL DOES EVERYONE KEEP CRAPPING AROUND WITH TYRANT CELESTIA? I'm serious everypony, I am sick of hearing about how shes a horrible cruel dictator. Its stupid, and it really needs to stop. If she is so horrible, why would she need a facade? shes essentially a god. She would have no reason to be nice, she would make everyone do her bidding without being nice. Luna is awesome, but shes young mentally, and socially inept, she wouldn't be able to handle the attention that a leader would get if she took over. Plus, she would never overthrow her sister. Celestia did not want to seal her sister in the moon, she had to for the safety of her subjects. If she had done it for power, luna wouldn't have returned as nightmare moon. Just because she is a leader that has power, doesnt mean shes evil. Equestria is not a dystopia, it doesnt have a big dark secret like the givers world. Its a utopia, or as close as it could ever be. A utopia doesnt need to have some dark secret. I know I'm overthinking it, but I am tired of this crap. And I know some people keep it going as a joke, but I dont think thats really a joke, or at least not something I would laugh at. Everypony can have their own opinion, but every time you comment on a celestia pic that isnt about her "tyranny" an orphaned kitten with cancer dies. You can make your stupid jokes, but I'm getting sick of it. Also I expect to hear atleast one person screeching "DONT LISTEN TO HER, SHES BEEN BRAINWASHED BY CELESTIA, UP WITH THE LUNAR REPUBLIC!" Shut up. No seriously. Shut your trap, and stop with this stupid joke. Its gone on way to freaking long, and its tiring to see it
ReplyDeleteThat was a very enjoyable reas. I liked the interaction between Celestia and NMM.

ReplyDeleteOh no someone has opinions that differ from mine! Stop him! SOMEONE STOP HIM!
Shut up and sit down.
It was short, but very well done, I quite enjoyed how you portrayed NMM and Celestia, its exactly what it I think they would act like if she really did this. Kudos! easy 5 star!
ReplyDeleteHey, you got it published.
ReplyDeleteGood job ;)

ReplyDeleteI share your views, but that's not a discussion for this thread.
Thank you for the great comments and ratings, everypony! You guys are the reason writing this was worth it!
ReplyDelete*hugs all around*
Awesome story. Beautifully bitter sweet. Five stars.
ReplyDeleteA canonical depiction of Celestia and Luna for once? Why, i'd never! And look, contrary to expectations, it is a good read! Incredible! It doesn't have to be a dystopian alternate universe/utopia with grimdark secret to be interesting.
ReplyDeleteA THOUSAND STARS! ♥

ReplyDelete"Perhaps the illusionary Luna we see in the beginning isn't an illusion, but rather the real Luna, temporarily released by Nightmare to hurt Celly. Perhaps Celestia knows that, and this is why she pretends to fall for the same trick every time..."
Whoa. I hadn't even considered that one myself, but that's a very interesting interpretation.
Thanks for the comment. ^^
Excellent story! I love your accurate portrayal of what a person in that situation goes through (the furious, frustrated screaming at space, and such), and especially adore the focus you've put on Celestia's relationship and unwavering love for her sister.
ReplyDeleteAlso, double thumbs up for Good Celestia. =D
I'm not much of a fan of her being evil or deceptive myself.

ReplyDeleteSomeone better call the waaaambulance.
Anyways, this was a nice little story. I'd never really considered the idea that Celestia would regularly visit her sister while she was banished, but now that I think about it it does seem like something she would do. It actually kinda makes more sense than just leaving her there.
Nice to see its so well received ^^

ReplyDeleteEeyup, I did.
(For reference, the deleted message is mine. I screwed up while posting this.)

ReplyDeleteListen, I agree that Tyrant Celestia is just wrong, but we don't need to argue about it. Love and tolerance means something, it's not just a saying we use. We should love, and if we can't, we should at least tolerate. Otherwise, everything the ponies stand for will mean nothing.
I really enjoy stories stories like this one.
ReplyDeleteIt was good, and I feel for NMM more than I should for an Immortal goddess. I really liked the interpretations too. Keep it up!
ReplyDeleteI'm sorry, I didn't read this yet, but the title just makes me think of that third eye blind song from long ago XD
ReplyDelete@Anonymous
ReplyDeleteI completely agree. This whole tyrant Celestia bullshit is getting almost as annoying as those abhorrend Cupcakes references.
I actually felt like crying while reading that. Not as much as when I saw Toy Story 3, but I did feel like crying.
ReplyDeleteHm...
ReplyDeleteIt was nicely interpreted alright but.. I don't know, somehow it seemed to lack a little something. That said I wished there was more at the end, more such meetings and all - maybe it was just that.
Still, 'nice read. Thanks.
I didn't cry until the last sentence.
