[Grimdark] [Crossover] [Sci-Fi] I need to watch this movie at some point.
Author: Nadia Rodriguez
Description: The future of Equestria is a bleak one. After a long war, the once peaceful paradise has become polluted shell of it's former self. The creation of Reponants, robotic ponies, was meant to assist in the rebuilding process, but advance intelligence made the machines revolt against their forced labor. Now it's up to Blade Trotters like Colt Phelps to "retire" escaped pondroids.Blade Trotter Part 1
Blade Trotter Part 2 (New!)

ReplyDeleteNever seen Blade runner? Cereal fail
ReplyDeleteThat poster looks nothing like the original blade runner poster.

Cereal...your task for this week is to watch Blade Runner. Failure is not an option.

ReplyDeleteYeah, I realize I didn't make it look like the original poster. I actually took reference shots of all the posters plus my DVD's cover art for inspiration. Perhaps when I have had a bit more time I will make another image that references the originals a bit more.
It finally happened...
ReplyDeleteI've been waiting a very long time for this!
Complete? Clearly not. A good read so far.
ReplyDeleteTruly there is nothing that cannot be Ponified.
ReplyDelete*slow applause stomps*
Did they make the pleasure models in Equestria too?
ReplyDeleteAnd now I have to go on Netflix to watch Bladerunner... To Netflix, then in about two hours back to here to read this! 0_0
ReplyDeleteOh SUCH JOY!!!!! *coughs* i cannot contain myself.
ReplyDeletebut still Blade Runner in a MLP Fanfic is just WIN

ReplyDeleteYou better do it right now! *flutterstare*
YES!!! YES!!! YES!!! YES!!! YES!!! YES!!! YES!!! YES!!!
ReplyDeleteWhat Blade Runner Cereal! WATCH IT NOW! I feel like watching it again now.
ReplyDeleteI dunno, I don't think I'll read it till there's a director's cut, if the movie is any indication of the story.
ReplyDeleteHell yes. I love Blade Runner
ReplyDeleteBlade Runner is based off the book "Do Androids Dream of Electric Sheep". The book's awesome. But then again, in book-to-movie translations, the books are (almost) always better.
ReplyDeleteI've seen things you ponies wouldn't believe. Attack pegasi on fire off the flank of Orion. I watched f-beams glitter in the dark near the Everfree Gate. All those moments will be lost in time, like tears in rain.
ReplyDeleteTime to die.
Oh wow. Love Blade Runner and love this story. Can't wait till the next chapter! One thing though, shouldn't Repliponies (or whatever ;) ) have shimmering/glowing eyes? Although the eye part is already in the Voight-kampff-pony part. And you already focused on Nix's eyes (and those of others) in the story... Ok, guess I totally missed that while reading and my point is now invalid :/
ReplyDeleteHOLY CRAP o^O
ReplyDeleteHar har har at the little note at the very end about the name Nyx....
ReplyDeleteAnd as for the story.... IT was alright, if this is just the first in a series and you plan to write more that would be pretty nice.
It's pretty good. I have to admit I was never really a fan of Blade Runner to begin with. Watch loopy robots kick Harrison Ford's ass for 120 minutes for a muddled morality story. But that's just me. This story looks like it'll probably be better.

ReplyDeleteYeah, the movie doesn't always appeal to everyone. I am actually taking my lead from both the movie and novel - but in a way that won't exactly spoil the plot to either of them for readers. I think more people that know the book, tend to enjoy the movie a little more but I will admit the first time I watched Blade Runner it was very slow for me.

Now somepony has to ponify "Ubik" or "The Three Stigmata of Palmer Eldritch" ;p
ReplyDeleteI only have one thing against this, I had to study Blade Runner for english and any text studied in english is instantly ruined for me
ReplyDelete@Anonymous
ReplyDeleteWow, you have my sympathies. Did you also watch the film? Or did you only study Philip K. Dick's work?
If you haven't seen Blade Runner then WATCH IT
ReplyDeleteI had to watch it for college and I loved it
This is such an incredible crossover idea. I. MUST. READ.
ReplyDelete@Nadia
ReplyDelete"I am actually taking my lead from both the movie and novel"
I wasn't planning to read this, but this changed my mind. The novel is so much deeper than the movie :)
@Anonymous
ReplyDeleteBlade Runner Cereal... I think there's a market for that... *writes up a proposal for Kellogs*
This story is great! It crosses with Blade Runner very well.
