ReplyDeleteAnother Grimdark...
ReplyDeleteI hope I'm not the only brony that likes this.
@FlyingNinjaBannanas
ReplyDeleteI enjoy a good grimdark. This is on my "to read when you wake up" list
This guy is my buddy!
ReplyDeleteSoviets are always the bad guys.
ReplyDeleteHm, I'm not so sure about the sound of this one. Judging by the name and description, it's going to be very neo-McCarthyist.
ReplyDeleteBut I suppose I'll give it a chance before trashing it. Also, how come this isn't tagged as [Human in Equestria], Seth?
Sounds different
ReplyDeletecrossover? explains to me
ReplyDeleteRussians? In My Little Pony?
ReplyDeleteThis can only end well.

ReplyDeleteI am liking this story. It also seems that the Allied Forces are apparently showing enough restraint to attempt to GAIN some allies instead of make some enemies...
ReplyDeletePoor Taking Easy though... Them damned reds!
@richfiles
ReplyDeleteI've actually had buffalo meat before. It was actually pretty good.
More on topic, this story seems great despite the fact I have never played Command and Conquer before. Fav'd!
RED ALERT AND PONIES! OMFG,OMFG ,OMFG
ReplyDeleteOh god, I've read it. It's great. 5 stars. RSS bookmarked.
ReplyDeleteMOAR
The title already has me thinking of Tom Clancy, which makes me both intrigued and wary.
ReplyDelete>...When an experiment gone wrong...

Holy shit. I'm hooked. This is too damn cool. This shit is the most awesomest shit I've ever read. MOAR. NOW!!!!
ReplyDeleteWhy are the soviets always the bad guys?!
ReplyDelete@SovBrony
ReplyDeleteLOL that's my reaction when reading it, I can't wait till the next chapter.
@elite879
ReplyDeleteIt IS based off C&C but the soviets aren't "bad" as much as their leaders are usually and this feels like it might be like that as well.
So the crossover is with C&C Red Alert.
ReplyDelete@elite879
ReplyDeleteWhy not? The ignorance of Soviet atrocities is rather frightening.
If you want to learn more here is a video.

@Benschachar
ReplyDeleteAs are lies and exaggerations.
Would you kindly keep politics and ideologies away from here?
And what does some loose interpretation of the real life hystory has to do with a fanfic, based on a game, based on an alternate timeline, anyway?
@kroust
ReplyDeleteWhat part was a lie or exaggeration?
He asked why Soviets were villains and I provided a plausible reason since I didn't see a C&C tag.
Thank god the only Red Alert crossover story is good.
ReplyDeleteAlso, the experiment is actually on the part of the Soviets, which actually makes sense in the game lore. No need to worry about another Twilight Teleport Incident :P
@Astrosimi
ReplyDeleteI would, however, LOL hard if Twilight tried to teleport, causing a Chronosphere to screw up thus sending everyone to the Red Alert universe.
The Soviets haven't actually done anything evil yet in this story. They shot a buffalo they thought was a regular animal and electrocuted Trixie nonfatally when she intruded on their high security testing facility. Evil would have been strafing the buffalo herd for entertainment or performing live Trixie dissection.
ReplyDelete@God
ReplyDeleteSpoiler much : / you should have a line on top saying SPOILERS or something.
OH GOD DAMMIT
ReplyDeleteI was working on a Red Alert crossover. And you had to pip me to the post, didn't you.
*grumble grumble* That means I'll have to write a pony fanfic for the RA3: Paradox mod instead.
Where's my friggin update??!?!!?!!? It's been three days already, I want MOAR!
ReplyDeleteMOAR, DAMNIT!
ReplyDeleteSadly, the guy who writes it had got a virus on his computer and now everything that he had on chapter 4 got wiped, so he has to rewrite the entire thing, and that's why he hasn't updated it yet.
ReplyDelete@Ray J
ReplyDeleteOh trust me, it is NOT what it looks like.
Update woo!
ReplyDeleteWell this is interesting. Command & Conquer: Red Alert crossover. Hadn't seen one for that series yet. Here I was contemplating busting out my C&C: The First Decade set to play again, and this pops up. Needless to say, I took the correct course of action and busted out some C&C remixes to listen to while reading. Definitely enhanced the experience.
ReplyDeleteSolid 4.5 stars. Would read again.
I wonder how the heck did I missed this fic before...
ReplyDeleteAnyway, I'm quite pleased with the story so far... I'm a little disappointed about the author trying to stay away from Red Alert 3 (or as far from it as possible) since I consider that the overall "silliness" (not sure if this si the right word) of that game would fit more with ponies, not saying Red Alert 2 isn't crazy enough, it's just one game is crazier than the other. (at least it's not Red Alert 1)
But other than that I really like what I'm reading, can't wait to see where this goes.
ps: I find funny how I stumbled upon this fic the very same day General Mumble relases something akin to a Pony Hell March.
