Apparently this is a big deal, because my email and Gtalk has been flooded with it all night. Grats Sinfest on skipping the nightly roundup (which is currently in progress and taking forever)
I'm not sure how I feel about suddenly discovering that the devil watches MLP. On the other hand, that would explain some of those fans posting r34 on Daniel Ingram's facebook.
I wanted to post this as the first comment in the nightly roundup but I'm not sure that's even coming anymore, oh well, maybe I will post it in tomorrows and everypony will have to wait till then to see true bronydom in action
Sinfest had a MLP reference a long time ago: http://www.sinfest.net/archive_page.php?comicID=3936
For the record: This means, we are still at 47 webcomics: https://docs.google.com/document/d/18tFbR1_Sp0-8CeJ4wDoaZR3wCrHjnB0ITf7uaZ8WYUA/edit?hl=en_US
I was starting to wonder about the Nightly Round Up... I though that maybe Seth didn't put one together, and was going to avoid the issue until we all forgot about it...
But now I still get my... (WOAH WHEN DID THE SUN COME UP) Morning Round Up?
Now that is how you watch ponies, You lock yourself in a building. Nobody walking in on you, no awkward questions. This guy really has this thought out.
Agreed, Seth, go get some rest, we can wait till tomorrow for the nightly round up, I've never seen you posting this late before, this can also begin to make up for dan's wall massacre
@Namefag Anon Out of those 47, Sinfest is about the most popular besides penny-arcade and has about three times the traffic of Equestria Daily. It's still not that much, especially compared to reddit, 4chan or funnyjunk who brought more people to the herd, but it is something.
Sinfest already did a MLP reference forever ago. Besides, the show is so entwined with internet culture it's hardly worth making a note of who references it.
Sinfest is THE best webcomic evah. I read it every day. It's original, sweet, irreverent, and adult in the best possible meaning of that term.
No worries, the Devil in the comic is treated as a funny character. I have confidence that the artist meant no disrespect to the ponies OR us bronies. It's just that it's funnier to have the Devil watch MLP:FiM than one of the angel characters. You dig?

ReplyDeleteI love Sinfest. I let out an audible squee when I saw the 2nd MLP reference. Satan has incredible taste in TV entertainment for once.
ReplyDeleteOh yeah, this comic. I believe I remember this comic from quite a long time ago. Forgot all about it.
ReplyDeleteHah, Mr. Schwarzenegger. You do not disturb a man and his ponies. Unless it's for more ponies. :)

I don't think it's a big deal. Maybe Sinfest simply has many viewers who are also Fim fans.
ReplyDeleteI wouldn't mind if you'd have held it up until the next nightly roundup, late or not.

ReplyDeletePeople, you're missing the really important question here.
ReplyDeleteWhich two ponies are the ones the devil has on his table in the background? I'm guessing it's Twilight and Cheerilee. ^_^
Amg, I was just about to send off an email. BTW, Sinfest forums have been ponified for a long time now.

ReplyDeleteI look forward to a crossover of Ah My Goddess and MLP:FIM
ReplyDeleteThis is awesome. I love Sinfest!
ReplyDeleteNow, if only my other favorite comic, Lackadaisy, didn't take place in the 1920's....I want to see Victor and Mordecai watching My Little Pony. :(
sinfest is such a brilliant comic
ReplyDeleteand the creator has always been keyed into memes and subcultures
also love the irony of who the brony is in his comic. :D
Yay! Seeing this was nice, although as others have noted, this isn't the first time Sinfest has given a nod to MLP.
ReplyDeleteThis isnt the first time Tat's has had the Devil mention MLP in his strips. Either way, its awesome. :D
ReplyDeleteso, what, are these guys popular or something? these online comics are never funny to me, so I don't pay attention to them

That's a bit scary, yet cute.

ReplyDelete4th Panel: It's Suspenceful isn't it? ;D

Finally somebody expresses how MLP is just much more important than anything else.
