So, apparently there's this popular song called Pony Swag, which is a pony rap that was created by a pony named Swagberg. A pony named iBringDaLULZ liked it so much that he penned another few verses to the song and uploaded it.
Another pony named r0ninKai liked this so much that he also made another section to the song. This third pony writes to us to let you guys know that he would like to encourage the practice, because it's cool and hip and he thinks it would be totally awesome if everypony gave it a try. I would, but, I can't rap. Not even if you put a gun to my head. Not even if my first-born sons life depended on it (note: I don't have a first-born son). Not even if Rarity asked me to. Understand the seriousness of that last one.

Additionally, Kai is looking for someone to re-record his verse for higher sound quality. I made an offer, but I'm unsure as to whether I'll have the time to get it done right, so if you want to help out but can't pen lyrics to save your life, give it a shot, just be sure to credit him for the lyrics.
Not really a rapper myself. lol But I think it's cool that everyone is now making new verses to Pony Swag. Which, even though rap isn't my thing, is a great song and made well indeed.

ReplyDeleteRap sucks, unless its about ponies, then Rap is amazing. The main reason I don't like rap is the subject matter, we don't want to hear about gangs, people getting killed, raped, drug deals, "big booty bitches". The pony swag is levels above todays rap. (I do have one problem with it however. In my car the bass on Pony Swag seems off, :/....)

ReplyDeleteIn my opinion (as a 15 year old who much prefers rock or metal to rap) rap can have better lyrical content than rock.
rap can have really smart lyrics but unfortunately most mainstream rap is about clubs and sex.
(also Megadeth is better than Metallica)
I know rappers way better than those guys.
