Behold, the Great and Powerful Princess Luna! She's so cute with her little cape. Ponies with little capes are, I think, about 15% cuter than ponies without little capes (not accounting for ponies which have something other than little capes. I'm not running a scientific journal here). This cutie little Luna happens to be for sale, so if you think you can give her a good home check out the auction here.

Or if you're like me and just don't have it in the budget to buy a soft and huggable little pony to call your very own, at least the pictures are nice to look at. I miss having disposable income. With as poorly as I've been sleeping, I could really use a pony in my bed. Oh well, maybe some day. For now, come with me below the page break, and we'll all check out some more awesome plushies. Click on the source link to find out who's responsible for each!

    4. I like these ponies but I hate the yarn hair some of them have,

All the good plushies go up fast, I've seen 3 fluttershies hit 400 dollars and I lost a bid recently on a Derpy hooves that went for 300 when it ended...

That's exactly the same thing that's turned me off from most of the plushies that I've seen. The one Twilight with solid hair that I've seen got bid sniped out from under me.

Same here. The yarn creeps me out, quite honestly. It just doesn't give the same wow factor. It almost seems lazy, but what do I know, it could very well be even harder that way.

    8. Seth posted that Luna the other night on a nightly roundup for eBay saying it was Trixie!

    9. to all of you who want your own plushie you could make it yourself like I did. Now I hear some say " yeah but we don't all have sewing skills!"

doesn't matter, I dont have any sewing skill either, I tried my hand at sewing for the first time 2 weeks ago, 3 days later my plush was done and it cost me less than 50 bucks (could have been less but I bought a wig to make the hair wich was 20$)
you can see the result here: http://meteorimpact.deviantart.com/gallery/#/d47m5vo
If I can manage that without touching a needle before, I'm sure all of you can manage, with the proper instructions, and the pattern (someone made it for me and I simply followed instructions after)don't be afraid of doing mistakes, after all even if you don't succeed on the first shot, you might on the second.

    10. These are cute. They do indeed hit huge numbers and fast. Which is why we're also seeing more of them made. ;) I agree on the yarn hair, I don't like it either and that's a big thing that's turned me off to many of them as well. Still, they're nicely made and cute.

Yes, but you have a pattern. Not all of us do, and many of us (myself included) probably don't know how to make one.

as I said someone made it for me I can even send it to anyone who ask for it if they wish, the pattern was originally made to help people make their own plush, and if by sharing it I can help more make their own, then I will. just ask and I will send you the pattern with instructions :) [email protected]
(also im pretty sure the fluttershy and pinki pie to the top used the same pattern i did the way i look at the seams)

    13. I'm actually working on a full-size Fluttershy.
Currently I'm modifying a plush pattern so that she'll be laying down with her head turned back.
Then I'm going to see if I can make it so that the body works like a pillow slipcover, so that I can just throw it in the wash when it's dirty. I still need to figure out what I'm going to do about the head, neck, legs, mane, and tail though...

    14. im rather supprised that no one has used doll hair or horse hair to PROPERLY do the mane and tails.....

i wouldnt mind getting my hands on the patterns........hint hint wink wink nudge nudge

    16. These are so cool. <3

I have the base pattern, but I don't have anything for pegasus wings or unicorn horns and I have NO idea how to do the eyes well. Would someone be so kind as to point me in the right direction? I'll give you a cookie... no, two cookies.

    17. @Sky

For the eyes you can either use fabric paint( ask at the store how to use it and wich fabric it works on) you can stitch them if you know how to, and what I did for mine was to cut the shape of the eyes/irises/pupil separately and sew them together on the head. The wings shouldnt be too hard to do, each wings would require 2 oval shapes sewn together and stuffed, then you can make the feathers shape by passing your needle and thread trough the wind and "draw" the line by sewing through the wing, as you tighten the thread it should make the "lines" dig in the wing itself, then you can sew it directly on the body. as for hte horn tough you might want to make a small circle hole in the forehead area before sewing it the the sides of the head, then you roll som babric in a conic shape, sew it, and pass it trough the hole and sew the base of the horn inside(so that when you turn the plush inside out at the end the horn wont show much threads)but since I didnt make a unicorn yet this horn part is just theory, you may need to experiment a bit.

    18. i just what a pony plushie to sleep with me in a nonsexual way they are so cute1

    19. layered up eyes useing fabric is quite the smart idea as it will look more"embroidered"??? and more naturaly made vs paint...a side note on the horn i would similarly stitch in a line around the horn thats minorly indented much like you would the wings..the best way to fo it would be to put some fill between the horn layer and a simple base layer much the way tuck and roll seats are made this should give the propper spiral ..wings could also be done this way for "more detail"......looks like i need to get some repaires done to my machine and find someone to send me a pattern for body, head, legs, eyes

    20. Thanks so much for the advice everyone. Cookies and hugs for you all. Bwahaha. :D

I bought the stuff I need and this weekend I'm going to take my first crack at plushiemaking. I'll put up pictures somewhere if it doesn't turn out abominable. (Going for AJ first, since I like her and it's easy to practice on an Earth Pony. Now, where to find a small hat...)
