Apparently this thing is already floating around up in Canada. For those living in Ontario, a store called "Carlton Cards" currently has them in stock for 13 bucks a pop. Not too bad considering American Greetings ornaments are usually considered collectors items in a few years.
Do you leave Pinkie Pie locked away in a box for potential future resale though? Can the party pony of Ponyville stand her plastic imprisonment?
I hope those of you that do pick one up will make the right decision. You don't want a Pinkamena on your hands.

I am SO on my way to Carlton Cards!
ReplyDeleteomg i so want one now
ReplyDeleteIm so grabbing this when I go out tomorrow. I'll see how many I can grab, actually.
ReplyDeleteWhy oh why do they always use that creepy Pinkie Pie vector. Same with the weird Twilight one, they drive me nuts (CONFOUND THEM! XD).
ReplyDeleteWhy is France out of the ponies world ;_;
ReplyDeleteDammit, Australians probably won't get this till well after Christmas (which we have in Summer but who the buck cares), and I want this so badly.
ReplyDeleteI wanna put little skates on her and make her a Winter Wrap-Up Pinkie Pie.
I'll buy 2. 1 to use, 1 to sell :D
ReplyDeleteMy Christmas tree will be the epitome of awesome with this. <3
ReplyDeleteDamn Canada! US wants it more! D:<
ReplyDeleteHmm, I would be tempted to keep her in the box, for collector's purposes. But nah, I'd definitely have to try and hang her on a tree. :D Or maybe like Ghastly said, buy two. One to use, one for collecting purposes. :)
ReplyDeleteI'm buying three. Two out of their boxes to keep each other company, and the other one also out of it's box to help keep them company.
ReplyDeleteWhy can't the actual toys be like this? This is AMAZING!
ReplyDeleteshits going on my tree
ReplyDeleteOnce again, the province of Ontario demonstrates its superiority.
ReplyDeleteExcuse me while I walk across the street and grab my Pinkie Pie ornament.
Hmm, just buy the ornament and hang it while it's still in the box. You get the best of both worlds that way.
ReplyDeleteI would completely cover my Christmas tree in pinkie pies...
ReplyDeleteBuy one to keep in the box, so that some day way down the road you can sell it for thousands of dollars any Pinkie Pie ornament deserves to go for, and get several others to use for decorations around the house/apartment.
ReplyDeleteI've always wanted an Ornament Ornament.
ReplyDeleteMust.... resist.... online... purchase.........
ReplyDelete@Captain Britishyo we heard you like pony ornaments so we made an ornament of a pony hanging an ornament so when you hang this ornament you can be like "aw yeah" (Fail at end lol)
ReplyDelete@BubuJones
ReplyDeleteMe Too!
I would totally put a Pinkamena one on my tree.
ReplyDeleteOr DO I?!
ReplyDelete*cue dramatic music*
Must search for this tomorrow! The package is bilingual so not even Quebec language laws can thwart me!
ReplyDeleteyes! now i just need to live in Ontario!
ReplyDeleteoh gosh it's so beautiful!!!
ReplyDeleteThe perfect item to buy to show support for the show.
ReplyDelete-starts to pack- can't hear ya ah'm too busy packin to move to Canada for the weekend.......only for pinkie....only for pinkie
ReplyDeleteOMG OMG OMG OMG OMG OMG OMG OMG OMG OMG OMG OMG never have i been so lucky to live in ontario as i am right now, must buy these before their sold out. PS how many do you think you need to have for the whole tree to be covered with pinkie pie
ReplyDeleteThat Ornament/Ornement (assuming English/French) distinction was reallly important c:
ReplyDeleteAlso, there is no American Greetings store near me, only vendors of the cards. This must be rectified before I make some strange calls to the nearest store in Huston (or drive wayyy too far for a few ornaments, lol).
Hoping that one of the vendors will carry her nearer to Christmas, like they occasionally do, but the fact that she's already released (even if it's only a partial release) + it's still a relatively low-tier franchise, especially if Pinkie Pie is the only one made appears to be making the possibility of strange calls much higher. Oh well! If only they had ornaments on their website :c
And as an answer to the question in the first post, buy two! How could you not put that on your tree? Just try to ignore the slow gathering of sililly-voiced foreign objects to wherever you store the other one.
Making a beeline for Carlton Cards, as we speak.
ReplyDeleteI am going to get 3. One for the tree. One to keep in the box. And one for the rear view mirror.
ReplyDeleteOh and I meant to add this to the other post about it but forgot:
ReplyDeleteIt is absolutely gorgeous. I love how well it's made. Hallmark (and now American Greetings/Carlton) blow me away with how well (and cute) some of their ornaments are made, especially when it's "just" a franchise. Some aren't quite up to par at times, but the vast majority are at or above it.
I can see why my Grandmother collects them, even if I'd never quite take it to her somewhat obsessive level. I do love having special ornaments though, I have some really old and awesomely done Beauty and the Beast ones I absolutely adore. This reminds me of them in all the right ways.
Carlton Cards is a Canada-wide chain store, so these should start popping up in other provinces too.
ReplyDeleteI thought I hated christmas trees, but now I want one this year :(
ReplyDeleteCompletely serious: I am going to my friendly local MLP toy dealer this weekend and collect the bits I need for an MLP Christmas wreath!
ReplyDeletethats nice, but when the fuck is canada getting luna!
ReplyDeletehardest part will be deciding which Star Trek ornament this goes next to.
ReplyDeleteI'm thinking next to the Borg Cube.
That fucker is going ~so~ going on my tree this winter, but only if they make it to America.
ReplyDeleteOtherwise, I'll be jelly of all those lucky Canadians.
Too bad I don't have an American Greetings store around Tennessee!
ReplyDeleteSeriously?! Why can't the awesomer pony stuff be sold where I live?!
ReplyDeleteI'm a jalapeno jelly...
ReplyDeleteOh hey, I'm in Saskatchewan. CARLTON CARDS, HERE I COME~
ReplyDeleteSweet, living in Ontario has finally paid off
ReplyDeleteThere's a Carlton Cards shop at my nearby mall. Time for a pony pilgrimage!
ReplyDeleteI'm getting this tomorrow!
ReplyDeleteDAMN YOU CANADAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA!!!
ReplyDeleteI kid, I kid. I actually rather like Canada. I'm just in a mild jealous rage, is all.
Hey I'm the one who posted this and I have to say she is very well made and pretty. I have her sitting in my kitchen until Christmas comes so she won't be lonely in a box.
ReplyDeleteBut seriously, in Canada we get weird things like lunch boxes and ice packs and then this nice thing early but what I would really like is the stationary from target. You guys are lucky who has the targets to shop at. I'll swap my ornament for some stationary pleasse ^_^
@Hiro
It's BEAUTIFUL!!
ReplyDeleteIf someone could ship one of these to australia please email me
[email protected]
So we actually got something first this time? Sweet, I think I'll just use it as a hat. Maybe another to top the tree, 1 as a hood ornament, 1 for my room, 1 for the hall...
ReplyDeleteI am sooo getting this.
ReplyDeleteWhen I of course take a plane to US...
I just made an account to say that I can confirm that they are now in Nova Scotia as well. They are $13 up here, and $11 in the states. She looks pretty fantastic and as it says on the box it is "not a toy intended for children." Finally something for us!!
ReplyDeleteWell, I phoned and they have some in stock downtown, so I'm headed there now.
ReplyDeleteYep, just picked up one. I'm on a bit of a budget limit at the moment, or I'd have picked up more certainly.
ReplyDeleteBuy two, keep one in box and remove the other for gentle usage?
ReplyDeleteI don't live in canada :'(
ReplyDeleteoh cruel fate! i just got back from Ontario :'( hopefully it may come to nova Scotia.
ReplyDeleteYes i now have one of my very own... Wasnt in plastic though it just had an american greetings tag
ReplyDeleteWhy don't we get awesome things like this in the UK? Or if we do where am I not looking? :<
