french, and now german?
ReplyDeleteGoood...goood... Soon ponies will encompass the globe.
ReplyDeleteMUUAHAHAHAHA
Well, this is good news.
ReplyDeletecool
ReplyDeleteAre these any good?
ReplyDelete@Ace2401
ReplyDeleteehhhhh
WTF
ReplyDeleteToo far to walk to the lake.
Set up the end of the slide at the lake
peinlich, peinlich ^^'
ReplyDeleteOh... Oh, god. Spike's eyes.
ReplyDeleteSpike's.
Cold.
Dead.
Eyes.
They stare but they see nothing o___o
@Sethisto
ReplyDeleteAlright, thanks.
Dat broken anatomy. Seriously, when will these people learn that ponies are not humans?!
ReplyDeleteI just love the logic of the first comic.
ReplyDelete"We're too tired to even walk to the lake."
"I know, let's build a waterslide to the lake!"
You would've had to at least walk to the lake and back to build a waterslide. Silly fillys. :>
Ponies confirmed to have human bone structures. Looks like Lyra isn't alone anymore.
ReplyDeleteAt least Applejack has her hat.
ReplyDeleteSlip 'n' Slide, page 1. Fluttershy's pose made me die a little bit inside.
ReplyDeleteWait... the second one... HOLY CRAP. Gildedale confirmed for canon.
ReplyDelete#2 - This must be the new form of petrification, the one that, um, doesn't involve being turned to stone.
ReplyDelete*looks up definition of petrification*
wait
If the second comic were true, then Pinkie Pie would be paralyzed 24 hours a day.
ReplyDelete#2 isn't bad, that first one though... I dont know whatg to think.
ReplyDelete@Homfrog
ReplyDeleteWTFDHIAGEHGVBIESFSEAJRGJBHOLYSHITYOU'RERIGHT!!!! Well, at least one good thing came out of these...and I do mean one.
AAAAAAAAHHH!!!! What the @#$% is with Twilight's eyes? I feel like she's gonna pull out a ray gun and probe me!
ReplyDeleteEvery time a pony sits like they do in that first comic, Celestia murders a blank flank.
ReplyDeleteTHINK OF THE FOALS.
>They leave Equestria
ReplyDelete>Find ponies
Equestria confirmed for principality.
If this becomes canon in-show, then I'd assume that Canterlot is the capital of Equestria and Equestria is the head principality (similar to Greece and it's city-states)
>overthinking ponies
Why, yes, I am. Problem?
WTF...
ReplyDeleteThese are hilarious though in their ridiculousness. They cheered me up a bit after reading the last chapter of Of Mares and Magic...
Not only are these completely unlike the show, they are plain stupid.
ReplyDeleteEveryone: "It's fucking hot out here!"
Twilight: "Let's go to the lake."
Everyone: "But it's so far away."
Twilight: "lol no problem, Rarity and I will walk a giant roll of dumb fabric all the way down to the lake for you lazy asses, then you can all slide down."
Everyone: "FUCK YEA"
The first comic was pretty plain, but the second...man oh man.
ReplyDeleteFirst, we see muffins. Coincidence? Maybe, but I think not! And that Big Mac rip-off...seriously, wtf? And I don't understand why Twi *had* to wear a hat and Spike a cloak while AJ was fine the way she was. Speaking of Spike, I just love how he has the same exact facial expression in all the panels, both the first and the second. So very strange, but not terrible either...
@Flygon16 I KNOW, RIGHT?! Someone at Hasbro Deutschland must have been reading up on their Jetfire...
ReplyDelete@DareDreamer Obviously because there are no Earth Ponies outside of Equestria, and the sight of one by a foreigner would be pitchforks-and-torches horrible, and could result in their passage being barred!
Human Poses
ReplyDeleteAlso Gildedale is now canon. Wow.
Someone broke their legs! ;__;
ReplyDeleteWe are getting waaaaay too desperate...
ReplyDeleteGoodness...
Huh. second one actually added some interesting Lore to the series. A place
ReplyDeletewithout unicorns or pegasi where twilight had to actually hide her horn. Do they fear unicorns or something? Do they hide their existence from those outiside of equestria? very interesting
MY EYES
ReplyDeleteHmm. I think it would work better for me if they weren't wearing their stock merchandise pose in every single panel...
ReplyDelete@Anonymous THE GOGGLES DO NOTHING!
ReplyDeleteThey look a little funky, but that's normal. Cute comics.
ReplyDeleteThe first one... that must've been one LONG piece of fabric. It was too far to walk, but it somehow stretched all the way there. That certainly wasn't dumb fabric. Also, yes, I know I shouldn't be using so much logic on a cartoon comic. lol
I like Spike's cute little blue cloak in the second comic. And Twi's fashionable hat. Applejack is missing her hat, but y'know. lol And Spike is the hero! lol
...Cereal that grows?
ReplyDeleteA water slide?
That terrifying spike?
...I think these were made by people who don't watch the show. I mean, this is pretty much what I thought it would be like before I watched it.
Also: Did the land beyond Equestria remind anyone else of Gildsedale?
From Dragonshy:
ReplyDeleteThe smoke from a single dragon's snoring can have catastrophic effects. Applejack is surprised that there even is a full-grown dragon in Equestria.
From that comic:
There are no dragons outside of Equestria.
Conclusion:
Adult dragons are not allowed to sleep. Or exist. Poor dragons.
Am I the only one getting some major, major Pod Person vibes from that second comic?
ReplyDeleteAnd the third page's dark clouds and eerie barley is ominous. Then some random pony that just happens shows up out of nowhere and and just happens offers refuge in his house before the storm. And then cut to the next day and everything is better.
What the fuck happened during that span of time? What is that guy's deal? The ponies seem to be sleepy from that barley, were they drugged or something? Everyone's faces are flat and expressionless and SPIKE'S EYES ARE SOULLESS.
I am so writing Grimdark about this comic.
@Billy Neighs
ReplyDeleteThere aren't any dragons outside of Equestria, and no adult dragons inside of Equestria.
That leads me to believe that they kill off the assistants once they reach a certain age. Perhaps when they grow their wings?
@Anonymous
ReplyDelete"A place
without unicorns or pegasi where twilight had to actually hide her horn. Do they fear unicorns or something?"
I didn't even notice that.
That comic just gets more and more sinister. *takes notes*
Wow, those were TERRIBLE. I seriously hope the person who wrote these comics is never allowed anywhere near the production of the show.
ReplyDeleteI'm sorry, but they were terrible.
ReplyDeleteI'm not even commenting on the weird pose they're lieing in, or how spike has the wrong size, Applejack missing her hat, or Mcintosh having weird colors.
I prefer fanmade comics.
spikes eyes saw my soul.
ReplyDeleteThese terrible MLP comics always give me a good laugh.
ReplyDeleteSo Twilight can wear a hat, but AJ can't?
'Cereal' that grows? And then they burn it in a fire?
Human poses everywhere!
Also, according to the translator (in the description on the 2nd page of the first comment), Spike says "I love looping". The fuck is that?
@SelectFew
ReplyDelete'Cereal,' in most parts of the world, is a generic catch-all for grains.
And yeah, cannon Gildsdale (okay, official product mention of Gildsdale) is freaking me out too. What's next, I ask? Will all future Luna toys come with abacuses?
I kind of want to see more of that French(?) stallion.
ReplyDeleteHow do they lie down like that?
ReplyDelete@Chris Perhaps a Nyx toy? Or a Littlepip action figure?
ReplyDeleteHoly cow!
ReplyDeleteGildedale is canon! SQUEEE!!!!!!! :P
Regarding comic #2, notice that Twilight has her hat off and Spike isn't wearing his cloak anymore on page 5. Obviously, once she got to know the pony better, she stopped hiding those things and the pony didn't seem to mind at all. I think this is more an example of the sheltered ponies in Equestria being xenophobic sillypants (see: Bridle Gossip) than something more sinister about that land. :P
ReplyDeleteOh looping... I love you!
ReplyDeleteOoooh, Spike! You know just what turns me on!
Ooooooooohhh loooooping!
Ooooooooohhh Spiiiiiike!
Wow, "Dangerous Business" much? That Big Mac recolor even looks like Ashtail.
ReplyDeleteTHEY NEVER STOP SMILING!!!
ReplyDeleteMaybe these comics are drawn by people who used to work on the older-gen MLP comics? They seem to be doing the same mistakes older-gen ponies shows do: human anatomy and poses, mediocre story, non-expressive faces (dull surprise). I didn't grow up with the older MLP, but that's my theory from my impression.
ReplyDeleteIn an alternate universe, the current MLP crew (Faust, et al) doesn't work on FiM and is instead run by the more traditional MLP makers, and the show pass by in obscurity as another girly show. This comic is but a glimpse of it.
no i love madamax and egophilliac more than ever....
ReplyDeleteI'm so confused.
ReplyDeleteComic 1:
-The two most athletic ponies are tired?
-Let's get water! I know lets go to Fluttershy's because she is the supplier of all water for Ponyville apparently. (I mean, after Twilight went and stole our water tank and gave it to a glowing bear)
-*In Twilight's crazy voice* "Okay, I've got a plan to avoid going to the lake. Rainbow Dash? Go and distract the other ponies. Good, now all we have to do is build a giant water slide by going down to the lake and making one." *eye twitch*
Comic 2
-The ponies get excited and lock up? I guess Fluttershy's not the only fainting goat...waitaminute! Are they all SPIES?
-Cover yourselves up, they don't like pagan witchcraft and their demon spawn in these parts.
-In the next page they're leaving and Twilight's not wearing her hat and Spike isn't wearing his cloak. So much for hiding their secret. I suppose Applejack's story was how they were chased all the way back to Ponyville by fire and pitchfork wielding ponies.
I'm sorry if this has offended anyone, it was not meant to.
They do a lot of Copy pasta. I noticed when most of the characters have identical poses sometimes flipped the other way
ReplyDeletePretty bad when many fans can write and draw better comics than these.
ReplyDeleteSo many errors it's gross.
And their legs!! They don't bend that way! Uhggg
@Chris
ReplyDeleteI would buy that Luna toy so much, so hard, so fast. Gildedale was a cute coincidence, and I hope Jetfire doesn't sue everyone if that becomes some sort of canon in season 2.
The comics aren't that terrible, but GAH! THOSE LEGS! THOSE LEGS WILL GIVE ME NIGHTMARES!
Man... Reading these... Ponies sure are stupid!
ReplyDeleteSoooo baaaad. The second comic's last page was a lot funnier when I thought the "I'm your hero!" part was coming from Applejack.
ReplyDelete[Spoiler]PAGE 2 OF NO WAY FAR, Twilight and AJ must find cereal that 'grows' in the EverFreeForest.[/endSpoiler]
ReplyDeleteI love that image of Applejack and Rainbow Dash just chillaxing together.
ReplyDelete-Distorted human-pony anatomy.
ReplyDelete-Two most physically fit ponies in Ponyville easily exhausted simply due to sheer heat.
-Copypasta facial expressions and soulless, glass-eyed Spike
-Ill contrived plans that go off without a hitch
-Processed foodstuffs presented and depicted as wild and naturally growing grain
...
Calculating.
...

@Drakengarde
ReplyDeleteWheres the any key?
I can't continue without it!
@Drakengarde That's it, someone has to make a pony-based operating system T_T
ReplyDeleteAm I the only one that's bothered by the fact that everypony in EVERY panel is smiling?
ReplyDeleteSeriously, who smiles when they complain about how hot it is?
"Let's find this cereal and get back to Equestria as fast as we can."
ReplyDelete"Hallo, vat are yuu doing hier?"
"We are looking for Cap'n Crunch."
I can't help but say this: what a piece of junk.
ReplyDeleteSeriously, the only good thing about these comics are backgrounds. But expressionless ponies (+ Spike) and the dumb plot? Oh please.
They make applejack look like such white trash...
ReplyDeleteSpike has no soul. Confirmed. Those cold eyes... That could be matched with The stare.
ReplyDeleteDid big macintosh suddenly become german and got a tan?
Couldn't they just use to cloud to cool themselves off?
Rarity wouldn't DARE let fabric on the ground and have water on it. Ever.
ITS TO FAR TO GET TO THE LAKE, YET WE CAN WALK TO THE LAKE TO BUILD A WATERSLIDE.
Them knots are ROCK SOLID. Seriously what the heck?
Andddd there goes applejacks hat. Again. Did spike just dropped dead?
What's with everyponys anatomy, where'd the big foreheads and alien eyes come from?
Muffins? That's DERPYS job. YAY? That's fluttershys job! Wearing a hat? That's AJ's job!
Why is spikes stomach talking?
You know what. I cannot name all that is wrong in these comics.
"We are looking for barley."
ReplyDelete"Barley? You're standing in it."
"Wait, why don't you have a cutie mark?"
"What's a cutie mark?"
Dude, it just occurred to me. They left their friends petrified all damn night. No hurry, right?
ReplyDeletelooks like dash and applejack, once again, are suffering from broken leg syndrome :P
ReplyDeletenow just wait for this in poland and hungary...
ReplyDelete.....Gildedale!?
ReplyDeleteI can't help but feel that we're missing a few hundred pages of grimdark between pages 4 & 5.
ReplyDeleteI've just noticed that almost everypony didn't change their facial expressions in the first comic at all... also "I'm your hero" should be Spike's new catchphrase.
ReplyDeleteThese are...umm...uh...nice...?
ReplyDeletedear lord, i got dumber by just looking at these...
ReplyDeleteBTW, regarding the Finnish magazine, the one with the glitter, it's just a coloring book with some stickers. Costs 6,90 €
ReplyDeleteThe second comic was alot better... now about those vectors
ReplyDeleteSeriously, I don't know much about the target demography, but do kids really need / enjoy such dumb comics? :-/
ReplyDeleteStop treatings kids as if they were mentally challenged zombie snails !!!
Rainbow Dash is supersonic, why is it too far?
ReplyDeleteI love these. Because they are insane.
ReplyDeleteIncidentally, when it says “cereal”, they mean “a cereal grain.” Not, like, a box of Frosted Flakes growing in a field. Breakfast cereals are called "cereal" BECAUSE they are made from cereal grains, like barley, oats, etc.
The comics are translated from German—that may have been clearer in its original language. :)
Wonder if anyone else has noticed Dash's permanent wingboner.
ReplyDeleteThese things are making a mockery of what Lauren Faust set out to do. It does make me wonder how many Hasbro employees watch the show.
ReplyDeleteThey said that past the Everfree Forest is outside Equestria.....
ReplyDeleteo.o....
Does this count as canon?
Rarity's alien demon eyes on Slip & Slide page 3, when she moves the fabric.... It's like she's sizing Twi up for sacrifice or something.
ReplyDeleteAh. So THAT'S what a punch to the brain feels like.
ReplyDeleteThat second story feels like a bunch of interesting concepts waiting to be fleshed out.
ReplyDeleteAlso, I'm calling the Big Mac recolour Captain Crunch, for his mastery of cereal.
