So much media lately. I can't imagine what it will be like when season 2 rolls around and we suddenly have all of that brand new content to make pmv's/remixes out of.
Anyway have some more morning colt music, for those of you that like this stuff!
I have to agree with a few others, it didn't sound "bad", but it did sound a bit out of tune. And (I suppose) you aren't actual professional VAs, because I felt that there was some passion/soul missing.
‘’Shows Luna play Call of Duty’’ >Headshot! )))Trollzor: Haha suck my ballz, you ginger Luna: You God Damn Son of a BITCH, Gets Shot at the Spawn Points’ Luna: Fucking Camper! Get down here, you pussy >Stabbed! )))Trolzorl: PWnT, you N00B Luna: WHO USES a Knife!!? >HeadShot! )))Trollzor: BooM! Haha blow me, you newb Luna: AAAAAH!!! GOD FUCKING DAMNIT Who is this ASSHole!! Stick Figure: Hmm...trollzor...damn look at that score ‘’1500’’ Luna: When i find this guy, i’ma put my boot up his @$$! Stick Figure: You’re wearing glass slippers Luna: RIGHT UP HIS @$$! Stick Figure: It’s just a game, man Luna: ASS
As far as I can tell, the singer isn't actually having true pitch problems quite so much as he either is trying to sing in the original key or hasn't repitched the original backing track quite enough; notice that, for example, he's fine for most of Dash's verse (one of the lower-pitched ones) in At the Gala but when he gets to a higher-pitched verse like Twilight's, there's pitch problems throughout. I think he needs to lower the pitch of the backing track further, so that he can sing most of the song in a more comfortable range instead of struggling on the higher notes.
What's a little more offputting to me is the small but noticeable rhythm problems (moreso in the opening than in At the Gala). I suspect this is a result of only doing one or two takes instead of redoing it over and over until it's perfect, but it may instead be that the singer has trouble singing quickly in character voices (such as male!Pinkie's) so he changes the rhythm intentionally.
Good god the gala video was freaking fantastic. All things considered, since this is one guy doing vocals, that was amazing.
I really love the artwork too! who is doing that? Being a loyal reader of On a Cross and Arrow, seeing the Colt versions and hearing voices for them is unendingly cool.
I sorta like it off key. personally. I think that makes them fit more into the whole "male" character more! I mean, I can defiantly imagine that some of them would sing a little off key if they were guys.
Awesome job! Great lyric changes for Rarity/Elusive btw :)
dude, you sound really good. but on the higher notes you're a bit pitchy and off. do more songs, just try to evoid notes that are too high for your voice.
this is actually preety GOOD ... i really like the voiceacting... and it suits very well...
and of course i'm REALLY happy about it because now when i read a fanfic that has dialogues between elusive, berry bubble etc i can actually fit in a voice in my head ... :D
Well, I agree with some, they sound a bit off to me as well. The first one wasn't the best. At The Gala wasn't too shabby overall though. Especially with one person doing all the voices. Dang. For one person, that's definitely not bad at all.
The only issue I have (and it's very small and I don't care too much) is that Celestia didn't get a gender swap and was still female. This made for many confused miscellaneous noises to escape my mind.
Heh, Blitz sounds great there. I totally don't blame you for not being able to hold certain notes in-voice. It's hard enough when you're not playing a character!
And yeah, probably shouldn't have said "Princess". Also, the background singers are still sayin "she". O_o;

Not really my thing, but these are good.
ReplyDeleteThey sound a bit off tune...
ReplyDeleteNice try though.
The colt versions of the mane cast... bother me...
ReplyDeleteSounds better than I did this morning.
ReplyDeleteMy Ipod died before I headed home from work so I decided to sing the songs myself... A little off tune.
Needs improvement, but anyway i praise you.
ReplyDelete@_@
ReplyDeletethere needs to be more colt art :3 theres more to life than just females silly.
ReplyDeleteDusk shine Berry and Blitz look great =D
Haha, Dusk Shine, Elusive, Butterscotch, Rainbow Blitz, Berry Bubble... and Applejack, of course :p
ReplyDeleteehh...not really my thing.
ReplyDeleteI'll stick with mah mares.
Regarding the fact that this guy is singing the stuff by himself, I think he simply does an AMAZING job... I really love both vids.
ReplyDeletewell that was different. not bad, not good, just different.
ReplyDeleteThe voices are still kinda high though. Other than that its pretty good.
ReplyDeleteThe voice acting is wonderful.
ReplyDeletedo Giggle at the ghostlys next :3

I have to give you credit for it though.

ReplyDeleteI love Blitz's and Elusive's voices the best XD
ReplyDeleteCompletely love how he changed around Rarity's lines in At the Gala so that they'd.. you know.
Make more sense x3

I just wish they were a little more tenor in range. Some of the notes seem too high. That's my only problem :D

I request more art/ giggle at the ghosties
This is... rather disturbing.
ReplyDeleteNeeds a few basses. ;) Mebbe a baritone or two. XD
ReplyDeleteSure, this is a little... strange.
ReplyDeleteBut I found them funny :P
Something seems off with the voice, but that could just be me. ;P Still pretty good though.
ReplyDelete@Nyerguds
ReplyDeleteShit, dude, what fanfic was that from? That one was good.
Rainbow Blitz's eyebrows look weird. Though the voices were great.
ReplyDelete@commanche105996
ReplyDeleteThe names come from an artist who draws rule 63 art. the fic your thinking of is called the 63rd rune
@Anonymous
ReplyDeleteI think he already has. Plus that scene after Rarity locks herself in her room.
@Anonymous
ReplyDeleteThose are also the names of parallel world versions of the mane cast in On a Cross and Arrow.
Even though I prefer mares, this was a muthabuckin' pass
ReplyDelete@Anonymous
ReplyDeleteUnfortunately I have to agree.
Oh come on trollestia, let molestia loose and WHAM these are suddenly a massive turn on.
ReplyDeleteRule 63? I dont even want to know what that is, theyre never good...
ReplyDeleteThis... this was... Pretty freaking AWESOME! Butterscotch is cute as HELL. and I loved Elusive! *Can't fav these hard enough*
ReplyDeleteDusk Shine is mai waifu~ >x3
ReplyDelete@Anonymous
ReplyDeleteIt's not nearly as bad as you think.
Rule 63: For any given fictional character, there exists a genderswapped version on the internet. No exceptions.
I sorta like it off key. personally. I think that makes them fit more into the whole "male" character more! I mean, I can defiantly imagine that some of them would sing a little off key if they were guys.
ReplyDeleteAwesome job! Great lyric changes for Rarity/Elusive btw :)
Okay, for the record for everyone out there it may concern...
ReplyDeleteM Ponies are still called ponies...not bronies.
AJ and RB seem a little too high pitced in the Gala song, but other than that, it's nicly done.
@Shadow Dragon
ReplyDeleteOn a Cross and Arrow! Thank you! I could not think of the name for some reason >_<
This is a LOT better than I'd have thought. I don't know what I'd expected, but I just want to hug Butterscotch (aka male Fluttershy) now.
ReplyDeletedude, you sound really good. but on the higher notes you're a bit pitchy and off.
ReplyDeletedo more songs, just try to evoid notes that are too high for your voice.

ReplyDeleteThat's the first colt version of At the Gala I've heard that actually changes the lyrics. Ha. Very nice. Better than some others I've heard.
ReplyDeleteThese are based on "on a cross and arrow" They should have worked prince solaris (in place of celestia)
ReplyDeleteWell, I agree with some, they sound a bit off to me as well. The first one wasn't the best. At The Gala wasn't too shabby overall though. Especially with one person doing all the voices. Dang. For one person, that's definitely not bad at all.
ReplyDeleteOverall not bad at all. Keep working on it though it could use some tuning up. Excited to see it in the future!
ReplyDelete1) Drop Octave.
ReplyDelete2) Fix Tune.
3) ???
4) PROFIT!
I get the first song being out of tune, but the second one is dead on. Awesome work.
ReplyDeletetoo bad they all sound like the same person
ReplyDeleteGood God.....Okay this would be more emasculating than the female ponies are!
ReplyDeleteThe only issue I have (and it's very small and I don't care too much) is that Celestia didn't get a gender swap and was still female. This made for many confused miscellaneous noises to escape my mind.
ReplyDeleteWhat will happen when S2 comes? I tell you.
ReplyDeleteYou will have to get about 5 more blog minions coz you won't be able to deal with 1000 mails per day xD
Heh, Blitz sounds great there.

You might consider using an autotuner to get exactly on pitch.
ReplyDeleteP.S. I love Berry's voice. Nice save on "divine"/"sublime", too.
Awesome concept, although execution could have been better.
ReplyDeleteGreat work though! I applaud your attempts, bro.
