Looks like another plushie artist has popped up, bringing us an amazing Fluttershy, and like always, it's on Ebay.
I can only imagine the insane amount it's going to sell for considering it is already at $81 with 6 days left. I really need to learn how to craft plushie ponies!
Okay that's the best one I've seen posted on this site, by far. Though I'm partial to anything Fluttershy, so... Take this with a grain of salt. Or a block.
Wow. This is gonna be expensive, but at that level of epicness it'll be wholly justified...shame a lack of funds means I won't be the lucky brony who ends up with Fluttershy this time :(
Hopefully they'll follow up like Banpresto did at an Anime con. They found someone in an artist's alley making amazing one-off Cowboy Bebop plushies of Ed and Ein. One fat check later and Banpresto had the pattern mass produced.
I......oh lord, if I had the money spare i'd be bidding on this but im certain this will sell for waay over what i'd pay. but wow. if i saw this in a store i would buy it. its amazing.
If I could afford this Plushie I would buy it, perform delicate surgery upon it an install a voice box that said cute quotes when ever you squeeze its right hoof....yay
Any questions feel free to ask! Shipping anywhere in the world, though ebay's shipping quote is for US buyers only.
*****************International buyers, please contact me after winning to get your shipping quote. It will be more costly than what is listed!!*********************
No seriously, that is absolutely epic. The proportions, the posing, the super-duper soft fabric. Shit. I would totally buy a plushie like this in a heartbeat.
With craftsmanship as awesome as this, I wouldn't be surprised if the reserve was somewhere in the $500 range. Small sample pool here, but given what I got mine for and the zeal I've seen for this type of merch, I'd bet the inevitable final bid war will push this well over $1000.
But seriously, this is absolutely beautiful. If Hasbro made merch of this quality, even if in limited quantities to test the waters, it would be awesome.
I wonder if Lauren has seen this yet?
And did anyone else think of that Starcraft comic a while back when they saw this?
For anyone saying Hasbro should make plushies just like this. That would be expensive as heck. Quality like this isn't cheap mass-produced factory work. This is more along the lines of something you'd find in an upscale NYC toy store.
This is a very cute Fluttershy plushie. And shes up to $173 so far. lol It pays to know how to make plushies. Very well. lol
It looks amazing. But at $175 and the reserve is still not met? I don't have any knowledge of material and labor costs, but that seems a little steep. Then again, she is over a foot tall. If this was Pinkie Pie.... I would already own it.
Okay, I just reread the description. Jointed neck for head turning?! Yes. The amount of labor put into this was clearly intense, and I can imagine this was not the first and final product. There were probably a lot of scrapped Fluttershys prior to this one being completed. The detail in this is insane. Big props to whoever made this, they deserve the cash they get.
Hey thanks for that idea, I hadn't even thought of that and I do have the ability and technology to make it possible :) Next fluttershy plush will definitely have to have her famous "yay.." installed. (I can't bear to think of ripping this one's tummy open now!)
Okay guys, seems Ebay JUST removed my listing for "copyright issues." of some sort. I have no idea, since many people have sold similar things on ebay before. But who am I to argue with the almighty 'Bay.
Anyhow, If any of you are still interested, she is for direct sale on my etsy account now: http://www.etsy.com/listing/80168921/handmade-custom-fluttershy-pony-plush?ref=pr_shop
Thanks guys for all the support and kind comments :)
heres a tip for people making things like this, in the photo, include a ruler somewhere so we can see how tall it is. i assumed it was only about 4 inches tall. turns out it's nearly 14. to avoid confusion?
Woooow! I love it!!! I just spotted a twilight sparkle plush and a pinkie pie plush on eBay by beto233115 that I've got my eye on. Hopefully all the cash in my wallet will be enough!!! ^~..~^

GODLY.
ReplyDeleteWow. That is one crazy plushie. I hope they continue to make them, because they are so oatmeal.
ReplyDelete@Sandman
ReplyDeleteOH MY!
If she said "yay!" when you press her hooves the bids would go up like...

I can't think of anything to compare right now but it would be freaking high.
I saw this and jumped for my money!
