Hee! Thanks Seth! Also, for anyone who might be interested in my Lyra, some upcoming ponies are going to be Luna, Mailman Derpy, and a special member of the Wonderbolts!
I'm sure the others used some type of acrylic as well (but don't hold me to it! ^_^;; ). I used normal acrylic for Bonbons hair, cutie mark and metallic acrylic for her body. I also believe the others have been finished with a varnish. I'm just looking up what kind of varnish to use then I can seal my pony's up before sending them out.
Hah! Oh, I totally can, I just need to figure out the shipping prices! I'm still new to selling on Ebay, I guess I just didn't notice the option to make it so I'd do international.
International bidders are totally welcome, shipping will just be higher :)
Personally, I also use acrylics. The stuff you can get at the craft store and some miniature painting specific stuff - it's got a slightly better consistency. I use a mixture of paint retardent/flow improver to thin the paint out, and use thin layers to build it up. It adds volume. :)
I'm going to try and change this auction to make it international. I wonder what I missed
The Dr Whooves is over $152 now. It never ceases to amaze me how much some are willing to pay for these. Some Bronies have WAY too much spare cash to spend. lol
So after some review, once people have bid on an auction you can't change the shipping policies. Huh. Well, I do ship internationally, so just ignore Ebay there :(
I use enamel model paint for my customs, it seems I'm the only one that uses them though. I find the colours a bit more vibrant, but they're a pain in the tail-feathers to use.
If someone tries to outbid me on that Lyra i will be highly upset. The amount that's in there now is the highest i can bid and without Lyra my Bon Bon (which i also intend to win) will be lonely! Please be kind and accept all my monies!
