So, comic time. This batch is a bit... eclectic. To start us off, Blimpslap is here to show us a little bit about what it means to be a hero in Equestria. You might think it's all Elements of Hamony and necklaces you only wear once a season (watch it happen, ponies!), but you would be wrong. There's much, much more, a sort of deep search for inner meaning that's sure to take your breath away.
And once you're finished with that,
The source was actually not Studio B! You can find it under the image.

Uh oh, Phoe, Batcolt link is broken.
ReplyDeleteIf I had a nickel for every time I thought that...
ReplyDeleteYou need to trim the ".jpg" off of the end of the first link.
ReplyDeleteBit of an error on the first one. .png.jpg Both great comics though, that second one is far too true.
ReplyDeletehttp://browse.deviantart.com/?qh=§ion=&q=batcolt#/d47ftci for anyone looking for the first comic.
ReplyDeleteHmm.. Concentrating on the "plot" much?
ReplyDeletesource for the first one:

@Pen Stroke
ReplyDeleteDelete the .jpg off the end of the DA url it sends you to. For some reason the link is .png.jpg instead of .png
The first comic is

"I have never concentrated so hard on drawing a horse's ass." Ha! Never seen my friend's self portraits then? *ba dum tish!*
ReplyDeleteThat second comic is so true.
ReplyDeleteThat second comic is so true.
ReplyDeleteDat plot is quite hard to draw
ReplyDeleteNa nana na, nana nana, na nana na, nana nana, Batmane!
ReplyDeleteBatcolt comic: Oh. God. Yes. You did the opening to Batman TAS! YES!!!
ReplyDeleteAnd Batcolt would have a Twilight bumper sticker... :P
File not found on the batcolt one
ReplyDeleteI'm really liking the recent increase in Phoe posts.
ReplyDeleteNice double extension fail.
ReplyDeleteHeh - Even the Dark Knight can't escape the Twilight Vector!
ReplyDeleteoh god, that 2nd one,
ReplyDeleteI know all too well.
I laughed a bit at the second comic, then I got the first one working and i laughed for ages, its the cardboard cutout that put me over the edge. Its going up in the word.
ReplyDeleteDat Plot B)
ReplyDeleteBatman and Ponies?
ReplyDeleteYes. I came twice.
*Steven Magnet* It's Soooo TRUE! */sm*
ReplyDeleteI had that same epiphany from the second one a while back. Simply incredible.
ReplyDelete*takes deep breath*
ReplyDeleteI actually agree on the second one, I would spend a lot of time just to get the flank to look right
The first link is broken, but I viewed it through the copy/paste comments. Didn't make any sense.
ReplyDelete# 2 made me lol. So true, so true.
Dat ass
ReplyDelete1. 404
ReplyDelete2. I imagine the thought must creep into their minds at some point during production
"Pert pony butts"
ReplyDeleteThat's what I was told when I began drawing, and I will always remember it.
Problem is, "pert" is hard to master.
I firmly support Batmare over Batcolt. It just sounds better. But I think I saw someone say 'Batmane' above? That could work :3 and it's gender neutral.
ReplyDeleteSpeaking of super heroes, I made old school DareDevil earlier this week!

XD and I love the 2nd one. That's what almost everyone is going to think at some point in this fandom.
That second comic: I know that feel, bro
ReplyDeleteMmmm. Elements of Hamony. *Homer drool*
ReplyDeleteI'VE GOT IT! remove the .jpg from the end of the URL on the first comic
ReplyDeletelulz at the cardboard Twilight
The Twilight cutout... HAHAHAHA X°D Oh Celestia that will never fail to amuse me.
ReplyDeleteSource for the second comic--->

Haha, nice...
ReplyDeleteOh, the things we come up with!
The 2nd one is so true.
ReplyDeleteOne must always take care to create a finely crafted plot.
ReplyDeleteSaw the Batmane one a while ago.
ReplyDeleteIt still cracks me right up.
Anyone else picturing the Batmobile playing the 8 bit version of the theme tune as it drives by? That should strike fear into the hearts of criminals.
ReplyDeleteI always though every animator would have that realization at some point. I remember seeing a documentary about the making of Bambi and one scene had a group of animators sketching a live deer. I always wondered if one of them just stopped for a moment and wondered "What have I gotten myself into?" I'm glad that so many work past it and do awesome work, but It must be a hard moment to deal with when it comes.
Ok now I wish the Batcolt link hadn't been fixed... SO WRONG!! SO VERY WRONG!!!
ReplyDeleteI was thinking, when did Cereal choose to improve his vocabulary?
ReplyDeleteIt'll take time to get used to not always reading sarcastic, exclamation filled posts.
to the second comic: you and me both. I realized something was odd when I said to myself, "Its not big enough!!"
ReplyDeleteBatmane isn't the hero Manehatten deserves, but he's the hero it needs.
ReplyDelete2nd one is almost for certain from a Bronytoons animator, not an FiM animator.
ReplyDeleteI don't care what Batmane is driving. It's still better than the movies' Batmotank.
ReplyDeleteCardboard Twi!! YES!
ReplyDeletelol Bottom panel of that first comic, oh jeez. He even has the Twilight cutout. Nice. "Its dangerous to go alone. Take this!"
ReplyDeleteSecond comic, lmao.
Looks like the cardboard cutout is here to stay. Every vehicle in Ponyville must have one.
ReplyDeleteYay, the comic I submitted got posted (second one) and it comes from Bronytoons
ReplyDeleteWell, #2 is a bit offensive, the correct term is "pony"!
ReplyDeleteI had to rush my hands over my face so fast as to not wake up my roomies from the fits of laughter that Batpony comic gave me.. and as I go to see the second one eventually I giggled more then I should have I guess xD
ReplyDeletePen got first post? That's unheard of.
ReplyDeleteAw, man, I had the Animated Series theme running in my head until that last frame. Then I heard the mental equivalent of a record scratch.
ReplyDeleteThe second comic is still making me giggle.
The second one is one I can relate to. Not that easy to get the curve just right D:
