Well, I won't lie, they aren't the best-sounding things around. But that's to be expected of course. These are done individually through mics and many don't have great mics to start with. :P But they are fun little projects to have fun with y'know? Just for fun.
Watch MLP in public: I see no problem in that Play MLP games and listen to MLP music: A little weird but will still do it. Sing-along to MLP: ... Let's just say we did and not.
First one was pretty damned good, though had some slightly off-key singers.
The second one though... Twilight Sparkle's singer was a whole semi-tone or so off-key, and it was painful. There were a few other folk off-key here and there too, but Twilight's was the most jarring.
That aside though, credit to the lot of them that participated in both.
Seriously, was the second one a joke? It's like they used to worst person they could for Twilight's voice, and most of the others weren't much better. I don't want to be a 'hater' but yeesh.
@Melodia In all honestly, it was just us recording with whoever was in the Skype call at the time. We didn't even expect it to turn out as well as it did O_O
Yeah guys, I was there for when the people were doing the second cover, and it took them so long to do-I think the end result turned out great. I wanna see the haters try and do what they did and see how long it takes.
I sang in At the Gala, and I'm glad to see that people still enjoyed it without the bias of being involved in the project. It was fun to do and neat to hear the finished product.
Speaking of Winter-Wrap-Up-singalongs, does anyone know what happened to the Ponychan one that was announced waaaay back when we were actually wrapping up winter?
I don't think I would've been able to tell one of the bronies that they would not participate in DJRBDash's project because "their singing sucks", but I would've tried to make their voice sound less off key.
Sounded like they were scared to be bronies. I mean, yea, their singing still may have sucked, but if it sounded like there was real effort in the singing, maybe a little self-made humor, it would have gone off way better.

ReplyDeleteSecond one was meh, but the first was good
ReplyDeleteOuch. When I hear something even slightly off key, it's painful. Those were far from 'slightly.'
ReplyDelete...So very, very painful... >.<

ReplyDeleteGlad you all enjoyed it!
Am I the only one who couldn't stand the first one, but liked the second?

The first one amused me immensely. I laughed of course, but it made me giddy to try these things with my sing-along-happy-friends.

ReplyDeleteWe need to find ones that can sing first xD

haha I bet you had fun doing that. Though what the hay is the ending of the second one supposed to be? left a part in by accident?
ReplyDeletehaha If you guys think you can do better, then stop complaining and make your own covers
ReplyDelete@Anonymous
ReplyDeleteWell you can't argue with that logic at all. Critics, pack your ponies, we can't say anything until we prove we can do better.
Mhm well, good job random people! :o
ReplyDeleteCan't say for sure if I'd be up for this, but maybe meh
I took part in the first one :D
ReplyDelete@Anonymous Chatter, editor for the second video here. I have several high quality mics and bronys in town O_O That'd actually be fun. xD

ReplyDeleteActually it is not "something", it is absolutely terrible. The first one was, well, pretty fun, but the second is an epic fail.
Haha, nice work everypony!
