*Crosses finger* Clint Eastwood pony. Clint Eastwood pony.
ReplyDeleteBreaburn!
ReplyDeleteYAY! CLINT EASTWOOD PONY!
ReplyDeleteThis one was kind of short! I honestly don't feel like I've read enough of a story to give any useful criticism. Still, looking forward to seeing it continued.
Don'cha play the Queen of Diamonds, boy, she'll beat you if she's able. The Queen of Hearts was always your best bet...
ReplyDelete'...See, my mule don't like people laughing... He gets the crazy idea they're laughin' at him.
ReplyDeleteSomehow I think the author loses points for actually giving the pertinent pony a name. Also...
ReplyDelete"What are you doing?"
"Moving."
"Don't you know all our ponies sleep here with us?
"Well that's all very cozy, but I don't find you ponies all that appealing."
immedietly i remember a back to thefuture scene where marty is in the western bar and meets mad dog ahaha
ReplyDeleteNo Little Strongheart? I am disappoint, as they say. About the only somewhat canon straight coulple in season one. Still, this looks promising.
ReplyDelete@La Barata

LULZ WHY IS THERE NO LITTLE STRONG HEART SHIPPING?!?! to young?
ReplyDelete@Gypsy
ReplyDeleteI just assumed it was a case of Equestrian buffalo sexual dimorphism and she was small but as old as the Mane Six (or at least Pinkie Pie).
You get my interest here, author. I'm looking forward to your next chapter.
ReplyDeleteNot much to go by, but I look forward to its continuation. The pony with no name? Colt Eastwood? Nah, I'm sorry, that last one was bad.
ReplyDeleteLet's read on, and see if chapter two will fulfill my wishes of a Broke Back Mountain scenario. One can only dream ...
ReplyDeleteAnd no, "sway-back mountain" with FEMALES wasn't the equivalent.
OH MY GOD I JUST GOT THE TITLE.
ReplyDeleteDesperado... Come To Your Senses... I feel like an idiot now. I'm way too big an Eagles fan to have missed that.
Anyways, I'm liking it so far. I can't say theres anything thats making me say OMG AWESOME FUCK YEAH but I'm definitely lookingforwards to more.
EAGLES REFERENCE FTW.
ReplyDeleteOC Pony super-crush. Seamless rural electrification. An overly friendly pony with no name with a name. What am I reading?
ReplyDeleteQuite good so far. Only problem is it drags like a mule team. Come on, lad, are you going anywhere with this? Yes, we've established that it's a very nice place and that he's Clint Eastwood as a pony, but are you planning to throw a plot at us anytime soon?
ReplyDeleteI am loving the Dangerous Business reference. IDBGOYD is my fav fic on the site, and I love that is so popular its setting is practically canon.
ReplyDeletealso, damn, shit just got real! poor Braeburn. I eagerly await more! I'm lovin me some Desperado, and can't wait for Eastwood style flank kicking
That last scene was unnecessarily violent. If they want him out cold, that's easy enough. If they want to violently kill him, this should be a grimdark fic. I'm not sure why you are trying to be somewhere in the middle here. If its "just business", there is no reason for the behaviour. If he is enjoying being so violent, maybe let that shimmer through a bit.
ReplyDeleteDesperado went from a mysterious stranger who might be up to no good to a bit of a Mary Poppins. Not sure how well that works.
Other then that though, still enjoying the story enough.
Holy hell it LIVES! Yay!
ReplyDeleteI missed this one. It was because of this fic that I discovered and now love The Eagles. (there, have an anecdote)
Oh, and its a pretty decent read no less.
