I believe Nayuki said the one on the left was Cherry with a hat and aviator goggles, but alas the one on the right is left to speculation for fun. Probably a random background pony as well.

Quite obviously, the creator of this poster devised this ambiguous image, knowing full well that a veritable mass of speculation and inane, yet amusing explanations would be aroused amongst the brony population, whilst said creator would observe the minor hysteria that he or she had unleashed and respond with mild to moderate mirth suited to a practical joke of this caliber.

This is the reoccuring bad guy group they brought in to start to ruin the show. For further blunders stay tuned and find out what else they have in store for us.

The pixelated version was so much so that I thought it was Spike and Twilight picking up rather wierd pixels. So an alligator and a pony in an old timey hat? Very odd.
ReplyDeleteThe alligator looks sentient, which breaks the prior pattern of only seeing it in Equines. Probable Gummy link already mentioned.
The pony's expression is rather sly. The snout looks male, but that could just be the angle. The hat is probably a Gatsby, which is typically associated with newspaper boys... that pony is probably some kind of reporter. Although it's not unusual to see hats stuck on toons simply for the look.
This is legit. A brony ran an enhancement algorithm, and it was double checked.

ReplyDeleteIt looks to me like Twilight and Sweetie Belle (or possibly Rarity) with some sort of greenish, brown headgear. Seriously, who the HAY rendered this into a crocodile, and some IRA gangster pony? That's just freaking ridiculous.
I want to know who, because I want slap them in the face, followed by a swift kick square in the groin for such severely odd and unsettling assumptions.
If the high quality IS some unreleased original art (and not some brony's fever dream), I now fear for season two's quality.

ReplyDeleteAs much as I'd love to have those characters... I'm sure the 'pixelated' image posted was made in such a manner after creating the fake two characters below. If you look closer, too, the characters' outlines go over the basket for a little bit.
