Another opening, because I know how much you guys love to compare voicovers cross-culture.
Not to be confused with the Latin American ending from a while back, this one actually doesn't sound that bad surprisingly.
Thoguh some of the voices sound pretty..off I guess.
Anyway you can find it at the Hasbro website here!

yay!
ReplyDeleteIt practically sounded like they all had the same voice.
ReplyDeleteAwkward. X:
I'm from Spain and I think the english intro is better but maybe it' because I'm already used to it
ReplyDeletein my humble opinion, spanish (from spain) voice dubbing is the worst... latin american dubbing is better... but in this case... i think spanish people got it better than mexicans... that's very odd if you ask me...
ReplyDeleteAwww sethisto... I sent you the email about this... too bad you don't credit me for "finding" it :(
ReplyDeleteUgh, it won't let me see it. Anyone got an alt. link?
ReplyDelete"Thoguh."
ReplyDeleteCan't see manure, captain!
ReplyDeletethe voice of pinkie pie sound like fluttershy...
ReplyDeleteapplejack one just dosnt fit,
plus they gona have to take out that lovely accent
ToT noooooooooo
The magic "OF" friendship? I wonder why they couldn't say "la amistad es mágica" (friendship is magicAL) at the very least.
ReplyDelete@Anonymous
ReplyDeleteIt tooks a few complete minutes to load.
Press the big play button, then the small one, and then wait for a couple of minutes. It will start on its own.
That was awful... I wasn't aware the entire cast was supposed to sound like the same 40 year old woman.
ReplyDelete@Anonymous
ReplyDeleteOr maybe because it's better. :P
IT DOESN'T [censored] RHYME!!!
ReplyDeleteThis sucks. I am not going to watch this in Spanish. I am sticking to the English dub.
The non English speaking countries on this planet are CRAZY!
ReplyDeleteI can understand dubbing a kids show, but there are so many great television shows that gets ruined by dubbing..
Welp, for what is worth I might be able to get my niece to watch this now. Also, twilight and RD's VA's are spot-on if this is any sign of who they actually casted.
ReplyDeleteWhy is it so hard for Spanish speaking countries to actually get a variety of voices in their dubs? The quality of the acting usually sounds fine, but the voices almost never match the characters.

ReplyDelete"this one actually doesn't sound that bad surprisingly."
You gotta be kidding me.
Rarity's voice is hilarious.
ReplyDeleteHehe. Hearing things in languages I'm not well-versed in always give me a little giggle.
ReplyDeleteIt didn't sound too bad to me. It's hard to gauge the VO work overall though based on a few words. But I'm not expecting Spanish-speaking actors to sound exactly like their American counterparts anyway.
THE HORROR! THE HORROR!
ReplyDeleteI don't understand spanish, but yeah, the voices are off. The voice actor should swap from > to
ReplyDeleteFluttershy -> Rainbow Dash
Applejack -> Fluttershy
Pinkie Pie -> Rarity
Rainbow Dash -> Applejack
And no voice firt a bit to Pinkie Pie...
in my opinion the latin-american opening sounds way better, the voices in this sound much older for the characters, and they sound all the same there is no variety.
ReplyDeleteI love Spanish but... meh.
ReplyDeleteMai leetle pawnee, mai leetle pawnee...
ReplyDelete@Anonymous
ReplyDeletei second that, HOW CAN YOU SAY LATIN AMERICAN IS WORST THAT THE ONE FROM SPAIN????? IM FROM MEXICO AND YEAH I KNOW THIS IS NOT THE BETTER MEXICAN DUB, but is even better that this &%$".
@Antonio DÃaz
ReplyDeleteSecond
Wait. I'm confused. So, there's going to be two spanish dubs?
ReplyDeleteWut?
Can some Bromigo explain this to me?
This is just as bad as the Canadian French opening *covers my ears with clouds*
ReplyDelete@Anonymous
ReplyDeleteThere is a Spanish dub for Spain and a Spanish dub for latin America.
Im from Spain and this sound like shit
ReplyDeleteI swear, *all* of the dubs use the right voice actors, but assign them the wrong ponies. Fluttershy's and Applejack's voices should definitely be switched. Also, Applejack should get an accent (though I don't know Spain well enough to know which region would be appropriate), but probably won't (I know the German version didn't get an accent, even though Bavarian would have been a perfect fit!).
ReplyDeleteI'm from Spain and I know that our new singers all suck this is a good spanish singer: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=NFkI-zxZlHo
ReplyDeleteI'm spanish from Spain, and I can appreciate the accent (which for me is neutral like mid-western is neutral for most americans). However, they all sound like the same person with just minor tone variations, and no real feeling put into it.
ReplyDeleteI'm from Spain too ^^
ReplyDeleteHere's a (poor due to my awful english level, I guess xD) translation of the opening:
My Little Pony, My Little Pony
My Little Pony, I didn't knew about friendship before
My Little Pony, your magic is something so special
Adventures
Fun
A big heart
Loyal and faithful
Parters
are going to share
and this is magic, this is friendship
My little pony, you know my friends now
Just learn English, you'll enjoy MLP's original recording more AND you won't get dirty looks from Americans when you come to the US and refuse to learn English.
ReplyDeleteI gotta agree. I get so sick of hearing Spanish here in the USA. I mean don't get me wrong. I love my worldwide bronies, but too many people are coming to the US from Mexico and refusing to learn/speak English. It's really offensive so, forgive me if I don't seem to keen on this opening.
ReplyDeleteBromigo? Ha! I love that term
ReplyDeleteI'd wait for the characters to say more that 1-3 words before judging the dubbing.
ReplyDeleteBut, anyway, this isn't about the dub's quality, this is that eternal fight I'm sick of about what sounds better: Spanish, Latin American or Mexican way of speaking.
Of course Spanish people will prefer Spanish dubs and Latin American will prefer Latin American dubs, but nooooo, we have to keep fighting and arguing.
Every time a game is going to be dubbed, somewhere a thread about wich dubbing is better starts.
And you know what? I'm sick of it. I know it's a brony's way to care about, but... no, I don't f***ing care. I'm going to watch the episodes in english anyway, because they air before and there's no risk for a word game to disappear in the dubbing. So you can keep your eternal dispute, I'll go grab some popcorn.
@MarkAnime
ReplyDeleteOh, si, quiero ver al Fary doblando a Machintosh.
I mean...
Oh, yeah, I want to hear the Fary dubbing Machintosh.
O mejor, Constantino Romero.
It's worst...Dubbing...Ever...Done...To...Ponnies. And basta.
ReplyDeleteAre you guys realizing the spanish opening is being sung by a single person? A SINGLE LADY? She isn't even trying to dub the ponies' voices: she's just singing straight, from the beginning to the end.
ReplyDeleteSorry for any spanish bronies around there, but this one is quite lame. Not because the castillian accent or the singer's voice: just because it sounds flat, uninspired and it even doesn't rhyme!
Latin American opening still sounds better, but needs some tweaking as well.
@AnonymousOh, there's my big ol' friend: Xenophobic Hooves! How're ya doing? =D
ReplyDeleteDoin just bueno!
ReplyDeleteGOD
ReplyDeleteDAMMIT
¡Castellano!
The spaniard dubs are very well known for being the most generic voices ever. Eugh, I feel always bad for our spaniard bros.
Parasprites are going to Parasprite.
ReplyDeleteIt's only the intro. Wait until the actual series is out before casting votes.
Just Spanish? Why not then Japanese, German, Swedish, Chinese, Russian, Portugese, Italian, and all other languages while they're at it?
ReplyDelete@James Corck Howdy bro! Nice to see you here!
ReplyDeleteSpanish (es_ES) dub is a piece of shit, and I agree with my fellow Spaniards in sticking to the original.
I actually knew this would happen, actually.
Also, any spanish brony out there who'd like to talk, send me an e-mail :D
Noone here missing the "Ahhhh" while the balloon dives through the clouds?
ReplyDelete>Applejack con acento paleto
ReplyDeleteEL HORROR
Oi people calm down. Before you say their voices doesn't sound ok, you have to know that most of times they use different voices in the songs and cartoons. I mean, in the cartoon, some people are gonna dub them, but they are gonna use singers for the songs. In my opinion this sucks. Because you can see their voices changing when they start singing.
ReplyDelete@Anonymous
ReplyDelete>Swedish
How about no.
I guess the voices sound off because instead of using the VAs for the characters - I guess they're currently translating it for Spain - they're just using some random singer for that. Take in mind, these won't be their voices in Spain, be sure...
ReplyDeleteBad thing is that they'll do the "we have a VA for the character when speaking and a very different one when they sing". Typical thing in Spain. And I just can imagine who will voice each of them, and shiver in fear...
Also, it's silly to go to the usual stupidity of "dubbing in Spain/Latin America is better than in Latin America/Spain". Mainly because everyone will be used to the dubs in their countries, even though dubs in Spain are recently falling in quality terms.
But yes, it's still a stupid discussion. After all, it'll be very hard - or better said, impossible - to top the voice acting in English, so... I'll stick with Tara Strong being Twilight Sparkle, thanks. :P
>this one actually doesn't sound that bad surprisingly.
ReplyDeleteWait, are you serious?
