Shortyboo over at MLP Arena discovered this one while she was at Target. Apparently it only costs 15 bucks too!
That is pretty pink though...
It sounds like you can get a bed sheet set for $25 dollars as well with the same design.
For those of us without pink rooms, where do you think the line is for bronydom? How many of you would be willing to work with a bed like this?

HELL FUCKING YEAH
ReplyDeleteI need this. O_O
ReplyDeleteNow if only I could get an MLP Snuggie!
ReplyDeleteno.
ReplyDeletePink schmink. It has ponies on it; it is worth of my currencies.
ReplyDeleteNow this is where I draw the line for me XD.
ReplyDeleteThat twilight vector
ReplyDeleteThis is so perfect for college. I can't wait to return!
ReplyDeleteHey, Tia isn't pink. +5 points.
ReplyDeleteNot available online... damn. How can I be sure my local Target will be carrying this...
ReplyDeleteThink I'd pass on this sorta thing, to be honest.
ReplyDeleteIt'll fit along-side my Kingdom Hearts blanket perfectly.
ReplyDelete'You can buy anything in America when we go over!' Oh mom, you shouldn't have said that. Get ready or our house to be ponied.
ReplyDelete"...where do you think the line is for bronydom?"
ReplyDeleteWHAT? There's a LINE?
White Celestia counterbalances the pink. That said, if it was Pinkie on there, it'd actually make it MORE awesome.
ReplyDelete@Jake Heritagu Mental Images I Could Do Without #468
ReplyDeleteThanks for that.
*shudder*
Celestia's not pink! ...i think i need to go to target tomorrow...
ReplyDeleteIf I saw a Luna version I'd give all my money.
ReplyDeleteI already have it! <3
ReplyDelete/sitting with it right now
If only I knew where Target was around here. Though I'd still be awkward about buying the thing, would not regret buying it if I did though. :3
ReplyDeletePretty O_O I can't help but wonder what that thing behind Celestia is. A shield?
ReplyDeleteStill waitin' on my pony beach/bathroom towels :P
@Fleymevas NO ONE TOLD ME ABOUT THE LIIIINE
ReplyDeleteI want one with Luna on it. I would snuggle with Luna every night.
ReplyDeleteWhere do I draw the line? Not here. I want one.
ReplyDeleteIf it had Pinkie or Dash instead :\
ReplyDeletewith ponies, there is no line for me
ReplyDeleteGet Luna on it then we'll talk, that's my line.
ReplyDeletePff a line ? Don't tell me you're afraid of appearances. If someone hates on you for having such an awesome pony blanket you just love and tolerate the sh*t out of them.
ReplyDeleteWhite Celestia definitely makes this much better than half the other FiM merchandise with pink Celestia. However, looking at the dimensions on it, it's over a foot shorter than it would have to be for it to actually work for me. If it were 50 x 80 or 70 x 80, I'd be in on it, but 50 x 60 is too small for someone over 6 foot.
ReplyDelete3 for Luna. :)
ReplyDelete@Magpie
ReplyDeleteAt least you have the right idea of what to buy with your money. I really wish I could get this, but my parents would never approve -sad-
I only draw the line on stuff that is way too embarrassing for me to buy. like the backpack or the baby doll ponies.
ReplyDeletethough plushies are on the buy side.
I think there is a line, but as long as you're not creepy about your bronydom, I don't think you have to pay attention to it. Besides, you can always use the "It's for my niece" excuse. On a different note this is why being a female brony is awesome. It's much less awkward to buy pink things. Even though I usually hate pink. ;)
ReplyDeleteI'd consider it... if it was purple...
ReplyDeleteho-ly... FFFFFFFUUUUUUUUUUUUUU---!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
ReplyDeleteI NEED one of these! and theres a Target like 5minutes off the base, I NEED TO GET THIS D: Next time I go Target, im gonna find this D:< if theyre even in Hawaii, that is :P
Damn Target.
ReplyDeleteMy room isn't pink enough if you ask me
ReplyDeleteStill waiting for the local Target to get the merch. I'm hoping for a ponysplosion any day now.
ReplyDeleteIt's a throw, you don't have to actually keep it on your bed. You can drape it over a chair, or pin it to the wall, or wrap yourself up in it when you're sitting at the computer (for those in colder climes).
ReplyDeleteWould totally buy. (Then again I'm a girl. Only age stigma here, not gender.)
Shouldn't Luna be on there because of the whole night thing
ReplyDeleteIn the past few months everything I've had against pink has slowly faded away. The only reason I'm not getting one of those is because I'm still living at home, as soon as I sence my dorm isn't going to be hostile to ponies I'm getting one. I'm with Suroguner on the line, just about everything but the baby ponies is good with me. I've actually tried three different stores in search of a plushie, and keep coming up empty. I want my Pinkie Pie!!!
ReplyDelete/signature
The only piece of furniture I own besides a wheelie chair, a desk and shelves is a bed. I usually wank in bed. So, no. I don't think I'll be buying that.
ReplyDeleteDarnit. And like I said, we have no Targets around here. But I was just at one a couple days ago. D:
ReplyDeleteBut yes, I would so rock a bed set like that. Habeeb it!
My wall is full of pony. I have all six ponies on display, hair properly trimmed on my desk for everyone to see. I also have my purple pony bag, which I would be more than glad to use to carry something somewhere.
ReplyDeleteIt'd fit perfectly in my room.
Meh, too pink. Plus, my family would never let me hear the end of it :/ I would become the Butt Monkey for life.
ReplyDeleteBut if it were a different color...quite possible...
Probably not. My room features warm colors, but I'm lacking my favorite color blue, and a bit of purple wouldn't hurt. C'mon Rainbow Dash bedsheets :D!
ReplyDeleteI dunno. Twilight's eyes kinda bother me the way they're done on the blanket. Were it just Celestia, or maybe Celestia and Nightmare Moon (or normal Luna), I'd be buying that up in an instant. Heck, if there were a blanket that just featured NMM, it'd be perfect for my room.
ReplyDeleteI'd buy a Trixie one, this is just too pink for me.
ReplyDeleteJeez, I do not know. I might... But then again, Pink. As a 15 year old male, I think I'd get beaten down at school if they ever found out. I can deal with ponies by ducking out, but Pony Pink, not so much.
ReplyDeleteI draw one line: Anything larger than a plushie is not something worth thinking on.
ReplyDeleteThough I would make an exception for a Luna and Trixie cover. (not a blanket. That blanket might be the right size for a kid, but anything larger and it might as well be one large un-sewn sock.) As long as it also had significantly less pink. Preferably a lot of dark blues.
@Sethisto No such thing as too much pink, Seth. No such thing.
ReplyDeleteOooh. I want that.
ReplyDeleteIf there is a line, i've long since past.
ReplyDeleteI like the way pink contrasts with my masculinity, but I'd rather have a blanket with at least one of my favorite ponies.
ReplyDeleteHasbro! Y U hate Canada!?
ReplyDeleteHmmm Im going to wait in hopes of a Rainbow Dash one, mostly cause I don't think they will ever do a diamond dog one
ReplyDeleteWhy is pink hated by so many people? I guess it has to do with it being the stereotypically "girly" color (though pink was for boys and blue was for girls at one point). Think about it: you don't really see people saying they hate blue or any other color.
ReplyDeletePink is basically just light red. So don't let that stop you from buying pony gear! Make Pinkie Pie proud!
I would kill (perhaps multiple people depending on the quality) for a Vinyl Scratch blanket :D
ReplyDeleteHell, It's be on my bed year-round.
I will mount this on the wall of my trophy room!
ReplyDeleteA-As soon as sis let's me have a trophy room…
I don't need a bed! Ponies don't wait for sleeping to be over to be posted.
@Xanthera
ReplyDeleteTarget must be getting a whole lot of guys buying things "For their neice"
@Athen:
ReplyDeleteMy little sister has had three birthdays...
I'd buy it... if it weren't for the fact that I don't do the laundry here. Cleaning them would be too awkard for me.
ReplyDeleteCan they Puhleeeeze stop using that horrible Twilight vector?
ReplyDeleteI might buy one of these if I happen to spot one in a store. I don't think I'll put much effort to searching one out.
ReplyDeletemy bed room is already girl as my my head board is covered in stuffed animals (mostly dragons) and my curtains are rainbow colored
ReplyDeletebut I will hold out for rainbow dash sheets :P
I think most of you crossed the line a long time ago.
ReplyDeleteThose hearts in the background...
ReplyDelete...are they implying Celestia/Twilight shipping?!?
...
OMG THIS IS A MOLESTIA THROW BLANKET!!!
And yet another reason I am pleased to be a twenty-something woman with a purple and pink room scheme. Hooray!
ReplyDelete@Anonymous @ 8:00 PM
ReplyDeleteSilly anonymous, Molestia is pink!
Both my current room and dorm are decorated in blue, so I could easily rock the Luna/NMM/Trixie ones that people keep suggesting. Covering everything in pink is a bit much for me, but it's just a throw blanket, it's not terribly expensive and I can stick it in the closet when it's not the time for pink. It's going to be cold where I'm going, and I want a white Celestia, so I think I'm going to sneak off to Target as soon as I get paid.
ReplyDelete/signature
@Rakshata The BACKGROUND is pink!!!
ReplyDelete@Anonymous @ 8:10 PM
ReplyDeleteHow does the pink background make the white Celestia the pink Molestia?
Besides, it is possible for two to have platonic love
That's it. Target is my favorite store.
ReplyDeleteI had unicorn sheets when I was little, but this is SO tempting!!!
ReplyDelete@Rakshata Because if Celestia were pink in this one, she'd be invisible!
ReplyDeleteAlso, after a few washes, the color of the blanket could slowly turn Celestia's white coat pink!
Must buy... and save it until I live on my own.
ReplyDeleteDAMN IT ALL, I wish I still had my soundproofed drum studio (basement) from high school. It was wall to wall bedsheets to null the reverb, which was kinda janky and ghetto but THIS WOULD'VE FIT PERFECTLY!
ReplyDelete*cries*
Pink? hell no. that is so not metal
ReplyDeleteA guy I used to work with at the flea market once told me "Pink is the new black". Sorry, I didn't buy that.
ReplyDeleteMy room is slowly becoming more pink because of shit like this...
ReplyDeleteOh hell yes.
ReplyDeleteMan, my current bedsheets are BORING. I need something like this. Time to make a trip out of town for Target.
ReplyDeleteI draw the line at it being pink. Now if it was white or another less girly color and it had Fluttershy or Pinkie Pie on it, then I'd get one.
ReplyDelete|*--------|**------------------------->***
ReplyDelete* Bronydom
** This
*** Fifty miles that way is where I draw the line
This morning I scolded my mom for not knowing the difference between Twilight Sparkle's and Princess Luna's cutie marks.
ReplyDeleteTomorrow, I'm going to wear my new "Dash Side of the Moon" t-shirt, as well as two of Pinfilly's cutie mark pins, to drum lessons.
Sunday, I'm going to wear the same shirt to my church's youth group, which contains two distinct neighsayers more than willing to punch me in the face.
But a pony-themed bed...If I do, I'm going to need something more high-quality than this "official" stuff. I mean, it's actually pretty good compared to the rest of Hasbro's merchandise, but still.
Not my taste. Now, if it was Fluttershy instead of Twilight...
ReplyDeleteLose the Celestia. In fact, just make a Pinkie one and a Flutershy cover. =D
ReplyDeleteBut yea, I think these rock. Would totally get it if I just happened to be at Target.
Who cares that it's pink! This looks fairly awesome, and I really like that Twilight vector.
ReplyDeletehttp://ponibooru.413chan.net/post/view/38512
ReplyDeleteDid someone say Molestia blanket?
omg a blanket... i love blankets!! but i wish it had rainbow dash on it :( to go with all my other rd stuff
ReplyDeleteYou are SLEEPING. on a PONY. I don't care that it's pink. But I don't like the implications.
ReplyDeleteSoon as I find it, I'm getting it.
ReplyDelete@Anonymous Pink was a manly color because of it being almost red: the blood color... Dammit, cupcakes ponies
ReplyDeleteand blue was girly because it was the water's and sky's color
I dunno Y it has switched
@Athen ................. You do know how to read thoughts of random persona?
ReplyDeleteWhere to draw the line?
ReplyDeletePersonally, I consider multiple factors in determining if something I'm thinking of doing is too over the top:
1) How much am I spending on this? Not just in money, but also time.
2) Does it really need to be done?
3) What will I get from doing/buying it?
"Halfway Gone" comes on
ReplyDeleteMe: WHAT THERE HALFWAY GONE??!???
FFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUU
NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!
HELL NO!
HELL FUCKING NO!!!
Okay I might just have to buy this. Throw blankets are inherently awesome, and having a throw blanket with Twilight Sparkle on it doubly so. If only it were purple...
ReplyDeleteno more nightmares
ReplyDeleteIS TARGET OPEN AFTER MIDNIGHT?
ReplyDeleteSHOULD I BREAK IN?
Considering my room came pink with the house, why the hell not.
ReplyDeleteSo sad this will probably NEVER be coming to canada, despite the fact that target is buying out zellers.
ReplyDeleteI WANT THIS IN MY ROOM, NOOOOOOOOOOOOOW!
ReplyDeleteI could work with a Pinkie Pie themed room... The pink doesn't bother me about this one, it's just the design. I'd prefer a Luna or Trixie theme, really.
ReplyDeleteTarget can not hit Canada soon enough! Move over Zellers! I need more MLP stuff!
ReplyDeletePink and blue will work nicely together... ILL TAKE IT! (though trying to get my parents to buy me a pink MLP blanket may be a bit awkward being a 15 year old boy and all...)
ReplyDeleteNo wonder Luna was bitter.. Celestia just doesn't belong on bed sheets!
ReplyDeleteNow i can get trolled in my sleep, thanks hasbrony
ReplyDeleteI like to get layed, this would definitely impede that.
ReplyDeleteDepends if bronies feel like ever getting laid in said bed ever again.
ReplyDelete>>It sounds like you can get a bed sheet set for $25 dollars as well with the same design.
ReplyDeleteWANT. NOW. RIGHT NOW. MUST HAVE.
I DONT EVEN GIVE A FUCK IF IT'LL KEEP ME UP WITH ITS PINKNESS, IM GETTING IT. I DONT CARE IF I GET RAGGED ON OR BEAT UP, ID FUCKEN TELL PEOPLE. ALL THE PEOPLE. I AM GETTING THIS.
ReplyDeleteWhat's wrong with the Twilight Vector? only the duck-faced one is ugly, this one looks cool, like a breeze.
ReplyDeleteWell I for one am pretty asexual (dislike the idea of sex). so I don't see a problem with having a pony bedset. Hell, it would actually get me to sleep in my room again rather then on my couch.
ReplyDeletePony bedset and like 7 plushies with hopefully pony plush added in the future. YEAH!!
It's lacking in good ponies. Needs moar Rainbow Dash/Rarity/Spitfire/Fluttershy before I'm willing to drop the £££.
ReplyDeleteI'd get it just so that I could snuggle with Princess Celestia.
ReplyDeleteI live in a small town with no target.
ReplyDeleteAnd target.com doesn't sell any of the good pony stuff.
NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO.
Somepony had better put all of this nice stuff I'm missing out on online.;_;
Well folks this is why being a female brony rocks. If I wanted that blanket no one would bat an eyelid if I bought it. Also it was easy to buy my fluttershy brushable as no one said anything. I do commend the male bronies who have the courage to buy things like this.
ReplyDelete@Anonymous
ReplyDeleteOh Anonymous! You don't have to be female, you just have to be old enough. The only time a clerk looked even vaguely perturbed was when I was looking at a FIM cake at Loblaws (grocery) and the clerk came scurrying over to see if she could sell me a cake. I explained to her I'd already bought a cake with Applejack and Twilight on it for the June 6 holiday (Laughter), that for Summer Sun I'd decorated two citrus cakes with the Gift Set, so it would be redundant to already reuse the Applejack/Twilight motif for Aug 6 (Generosity). And anyway, I was looking for a cake in Rarity's colours, white and blue/violet. The clerk was very happy to escape back behind the counter. X^D
SHUT UP AND TAKE MY MONEY!!!
ReplyDeleteI bought a blanket that size once. Way too small to sleep under, so if that's your aim don't even bother.
ReplyDeleteThough it is nice to curl up under on say a couch when you don't feel like going back to bed.
Even before I started watching My Little Pony, my bed was full of cute stuffed toys, so using this would probably go well with the rest of my room.
ReplyDeleteThis is where I'm gonna have my sex!
ReplyDeleteI think I'd get pony socks, t-shirt and a plushie at most. I draw the line at anything past that... Alright maybe a poster/original artwork too >.>
ReplyDeleteAnyway bronies, it's important we draw lines for what we get. I recommend getting fan made items that are tailored to us rather than 3 year old girls. Also, @jinratgeist... as spiderman once said: "WHAT THE FUCK, MAN".
I'd use it. I really want a Lyra one, or a Trixie one or a Luna one.
ReplyDeleteHell, I want one for all the ponies.
Sorry I cannot do the pink... BECAUSE My walls are already the same color as Twilight Sparkle. *laughs*
ReplyDeleteOh Im also looking for a place that will print a big vinyl cutie mark so I can place it on my wall O.O
ReplyDeleteMake it in midnight blue with Luna and Twilight reading books and I will buy on sight!
ReplyDeleteOn the other hand, if I see this one, I may just buy it anyway, if I haven't spent all my Target gift cards on Nerf guns by then...
ReplyDeleteThe only pink in my room is the red in Rainbow Dash's hair. I MUST HAVE THIS
ReplyDeleteHi! I'm the one who found the throw at Target and scanned the label. I just wanted to point out that in real life, the throw isn't as pink as it looks on the label. It's actually more purple than pink. There is some pink, but it's mostly lavender and kind of an orchid color.
ReplyDeleteIt's small, but that's because it's meant to be used as a lap blanket, something to curl up on the couch with, not a full sleeping blanket. It's quite warm and really soft.
The one I found was on a cart with other things that needed to be put away and the worker there said she put it there because she scanned it and it was missing a department code. It was the only one there and there were none with the bedding, but I imagine that's where it's supposed to go. They also had a twin sheet set that also had Twilight Sparkle and Celestia. The sheets are white with some purple and a tiny bit of pink on them. There's supposed to be a comforter with the set, but it hadn't been put out yet. I'm definitely grabbing it as soon as I find it.
waaaaaaaaaaant :C
ReplyDelete@Bartekko Oh, it's more hardcore than that.
ReplyDeleteSure, blood is red, but guess what color GORE is?
If anyone wants the throw and it's not on the shelves at your local Target, I do have the DCPI number and if you give it to a worker, they should go in the back and grab it for you: 097-03-1532
ReplyDeleteWhen I get my own apartment, then I would buy the whole thing.
ReplyDeleteThe only line I sense with these things is the one at the check out counter.
ReplyDeleteI'm still waiting for blind bags to show up where I live. They're about the only merchandise cool enough and small enough that I dare own to be able to keep my fandom secret from the rest of the world around me.
I would be checking my local targets posthaste if it weren't for my parents and their balderdash about gender roles. Then again my room is currently plastered with cats and plushies so a pony blanket wouldn't be the most out of place thing.
ReplyDelete>gets in the car and drives as fast as she can to target
ReplyDeleteWhenever I have to buy pony merch at Target, I always say it's for a little girl's birthday. She's usually named Marissa, which no, is not my name, but I like the sound of it!
ReplyDeleteWell, my old Spongebob sheets are wearing out.... YES I'M GETTING THIS AND THE SHEETS IT WILL BE AMAZING.
ReplyDeleteI just purchased this at the new Target down the street. No weird looks or anything. It is really soft and actually quite large. Even if it wasn't ponies it's a quality blanket for $15.
ReplyDeleteI went to Target yesterday with my mom yesterday, but I couldn't find it anywhere? I did find the bed set, though. I also looked at the Target website, and it wasn't on there either. :(
ReplyDeleteI went to Target today, they didn't have this :C the only non-toy items they had for sale were the buckets in the dollar section.
ReplyDeleteI got this a couple days ago. It's rather a magenta than pink, really. For those of you who can't find it, try the bedding section. Some Targets are lame and haven't done the Canterlot display yet, so these have been floating with all the other children's licensed character bedding. Also, it may just be your Target doesn't have it yet. I've checked 2 Targets that are equally close to me for the past 3 days, and only one had the blanket and only one set (the large Canterlot accessory set with Luna and Pinkie Pie), while the other Target had the fashion style Luna and Celestias, as well as the small Canterlot set. Took me going to a third Target today to actually find the Canterlot display set-up, which had all the stuff (the blankets were in the display at that Target). So just browse around a couple of sections at Target, and maybe call the Targets in your area and ask (unless, like me, you're crazy enough to drive to each one).
ReplyDeleteBut this is certainly a nice addition to my Rainbow Dash blue room! It's so nice being a girl sometimes. ♥
Haha! People are recognizing me at Walmart and Target! By NAME at Target! HAHA!!! LULZY!
ReplyDeleteSo, today I went to Target. I get to the aisle and see... NO MLP merch at all!!! It's all been replaced by Clearance. I was there 2 days ago and got the Talking Sweetie Belle for $3.74... Seriously, it was clearance central.
ReplyDeleteI walk a little further down, passed 2 more aisles and I see the new section. Top to floor, one full shelf segment of nothing but MLP merch. I managed to pick up AJ's weird as hay truck thing for a couple bits.
Most importantly, they had the new Carousel Boutique, Princess Celestia/Luna Fashion Pony double pack, and and the smaller Canterlot set with Shine Brite Twilight Sparkle and that recolor Starbeam Twinkle or whatever it is.
First... I have official Luna, now am happy! :D
Luna looks like she's still just a filly. Stupid Hasbro. Cutie mark on one side only, stubby horn, but NICE BIG wing boner taller than her head. That's cool. Her horn, wings and cutie mark are covered in glitter. The Celestia toy is the same... LITERALLY the same. Both Celestia and Luna, are standard fashion ponies with wings glued on. I suspect It's the body from the new Fluttershy Fashion Pony with a Rarity unicorn head. (Yes, they have a Fluttershy fashion pony shown on the "other products" insert they include with the new Canterlot and Boutique sets) Their hair has "tinsel" mixed in with the normal strands which actually makes it sparkle under proper lighting conditions. I like my new official Luna, but still demand Hasbro step up their game. It truly looks nothing like Luna.
Fact is, all the new Canterlot toys, plus the Rarity from the boutique set feature the tinsel hair. The Twilight is, as I said, a Shine Brite, but with that tinsel mixed with her hair, At this point They only need a Shine Brite Fluttershy and AJ to complete the mane 6 in that series of toys.
There is a recolor unicorn in both the Canterlot set with Twi, as well as the Carousel Boutique set. There are two carousel ponies that can be detached from the rotating carousel that appear to be all new molds. The size is approximately equivalent to a blind bag pony, or the 4 pack tube, but it's a unique pose. There is a NON detachable post and saddle molded into the ponies. The pony will free stand on the post, as long as it's level and not bumped. One pony is pink with yellow hair. The other is Orange with Magenta hair (Scootaloo colors). Unfortunately, the saddle is clearly a saddle, though it looks sorta like folded wings. I imagine some moding could correct that. The two little ponies are earth ponies. Both are blank flanks, and even if you wanted to add a cutie mark, the saddle is very swept back, and covers most of the flank anyway. The eye decals are also simpler, consisting of only black, white, and no color. There is essentially no iris. Only a large pupil with whites of the eye and white refections. Both have a hair shape reminiscent of the Fluttershy and Rainbow Dash blind bag molds, but with a more brushed look, somewhere between filly Fluttershy and the blind bag hair. The pose is a traditional carousel pose, with it appearing as the pony was leaping through the air. The molding process is simpler than the blind bag ponies. The front and rear pairs of legs are fused, as too, the rear legs are also fused to the tail. The mold is a simple 2 piece mold with no negative spaces. Far simpler than a blind bag pony. The saddle also has a peg to mount many of the small animal accessories to, and the base has a hole that fits the standard size peg, of which there are actually 7 available on the carousel. I wish the carousel set had included more of these little ponies. Two isn't enough. Despite the relative simplicity of them, they are cute. The one looks enough like Scootaloo, that I'll unofficially make her the Scootaloo of my collection. I'll maybe someday mod the saddle to look like wings... or I'll be lazy and think about it.
The Carousel Boutique itself is large, and very plastic. It's worth the money because you are paying for an actual play set, and not a glorified box. It uses 2 batteries and plays the MLP theme song in a shortened instrumental variant. It's activated by pulling a slide that winds the carousel and activates the audio chip to play the song. Both the main level and the roof rotate, in opposing directions. The only way it could possibly be better would be if it came with seven white ponequins. and played Art of the Dress instead of the theme song... That scene would be right out of the show! :D
ReplyDeleteGive it time, someone will mod it... Hay, I bet someone will outright motorize this puppy sooner or later, and drop in a new audio circuit to have it do the whole song! Ha!
The Target in my town is small. They did not have the standee style display. They also did not have the large $40 Canterlot Castle set. They did have a talking and apparently "walking" baby Pinkie Pie that reminds me of the Talking Sweetie Belle toy I just picked up, but adds motion to the mix. It appears to be one of those that sees you coming with a sensor, and talks to you in the aisle. It NEVER SHUT UP... So basically, it's totally show accurate! I did not pick it up. They had no other plushies or story plushies at my location. They also had none of the sheets or throws, or any other bedding. Have car, will travel, I guess if I want to find the other stuff.
I'm also realizing that the backs of each package provide some lovely FiM themed backdrops. For a child playing with these toys, or even setup in a display by a collector, some of the scenes are nice, and I've been keeping my inside backs of the packages. Each toy seems to have an appropriately themed backdrop.
One thing I do like, is even though the Canterlot set is nothing more than a printed, custom shaped cardboard box, it is big enough to actually hold all the small accessories of every toy I've acquired to date. It's actually proven to have a real use, so I'm OK with it. The book style case that the fashion princesses come in have a pair of pull out drawers to hold the smalls I just dumped it all into the Canterlot box. I left the dresses and my Pinkie Pie toothpaste in that box, and started filling in extra Mc Donald and 3" ponies. It holds quite a few. I imagine the large Canterlot Castle set could hold a bit too.
In all these are nice sets, but you're paying for a ton of stupid accessories. Also, regarding the fashion princesses, I can't for the life of me figure out how the dresses even fit the princesses. Over or under the wings, through, where do the straps go! Bucking dresses, how do they work! I'm gonna go crazy trying to figure it out. Oh I'm so frustrated I could just scream! eee
Still wish...
The cases were plastic, not cardboard.
Celestia wasn't pink.
Luna looked like Luna.
Accessories would include a Microwave, Abacus, Gauntlet, and a Falcon animal friend (Totally read "Falcon". A real tear jerker of a sad, but heartwarming Luna story)
Also, Hasbro needs to release part 2 of the Friendship is Magic 5 piece Gift Set. Need molded hair ponies!
Can't wait for the 12 piece collectors set with blind bag ponies too!
Next project, get tiny beads, wire, and make a tiny square frame... assemble tiny abacus. My deformed Luna is lonely.
i work on a navy ship. i would totally use this in my bunk. it would fit right in with the tinkerbell and hannah montana sheets the others have.
ReplyDelete-stuffs face in blanket-
ReplyDeleteDO WANT SPIKE FACE TIME.
LINE THERE IS NO LINE
ReplyDeleteSurprisingly warm, cute, bought mine for $15. Conclusion: *Stuffs face into throw and does not let go*
ReplyDeleteME GUSTA.
I am typing this comment under this throw blanket right now. Just hope I don't get trolled by Molestia.
ReplyDeleteME GUSTA ME GUSTA ME GUSTA ME MUCHO GUSTA!
........and to think i just spent my money on a video game instead of this.... maybe my older sister will be nice enough to buy this for me. although it sucks considering i don't have a real room to sleep in and my dad would look down on me forever, but i could really care less because I NEED THIS
ReplyDeleteI don't care what people think I have to have it!!!!
ReplyDelete
