More pony merch has popped up! This time straight from Zellers, a store found only in Canada.
Now you may be wondering.."But Seth, why would I need a pony lunchbag?"
That's easy.
Say you are a college student, with long drives to and from your classes each day. You are already spending a fortune on gas. It's time to start saving money! Let ponies guard your custom made peanut butter sandwich. Don't blow it at Samurai Sams, or on those ridiculously overpriced bagels at Starbucks. You need that money for the inevitable brony centric toy line that Hasbro hopefully releases in the near future!
Or perhaps you are a global business executive on a trip to the far east? Maybe Japanese cuisine just isn't your thing? Sure, they have Mcdonalds down there, but they aren't carrying ponies right now, so why bother? Trust our favorite little pastel equines with your left over New York style pizza from last night! I garuntee these girls will keep it mold free for at least the entire plane ride. (Though you might want to take a few bites on the way over, around the edges)
At a mere $9.99, this expertly constructed food storage device (powered by Equestrian Innovations FreezeClop® technology) is guaranteed to keep your food in tip top condition, and save you a huge amount of cash at the same time.
Lunch bags are the future, and Friendship is Magic is here to be your guiding hoof.

ReplyDeleteMy god, that's actually a really beautiful-looking, well crafted lunchbox.
ReplyDeleteBringing your lunch to school just got 20% manlier. xD
~Dark~
Its so manly looking.
ReplyDeletemanly lunchbox is manly!
ReplyDeleteWhy did I read this in Cave Johnson's voice?

The Heavy: Dah! And perfect for holding sandvich!
that would be a great lunchbox to use for a high school sophomore in texas. AMIRITE?
ReplyDeleteBrilliant, Seth! Could you help me on this one? What can I use those MLP girl socks for? I was standing in Target for ten minutes, Princess Celestia socks in hand, pondering what a 24-year-old guy could do with these.
ReplyDeleteThat was a magnificent sales' pitch and I'd buy one in a heartbeat if they were being sold somewhat near me and I had some decent form of transportation. But alas, no.
ReplyDelete@Syggie Cat booties! Or jelly-bean holders!
ReplyDelete@Brett Turner
ReplyDeleteWell this Texan is hopefully buying one...
yeah well. I'm used to people making fun of me, it's kind of funny really how people try hard to get to me but they never do...
Maybe they'll pop up on amazon?
FreezeClop. Brand name fail. And yet, despite that disturbing mental image, I still really want this...
ReplyDeleteOH MY GOD I HAVE TO GO UP TO ZELLERS RIGHT THE HELL NOW
ReplyDeleteI wonder if that's big enough to fit a six-pack into.
ReplyDeleteI'll take one!! It looks really good imo and at $10 That's a Steal!
ReplyDeleteAmericans should check Target for this, they acquired 220 of the 273 Zeller's stores from HBC and are turning them into Targets so it's possible the stock might follow suit.
ReplyDelete... Seth, are you being paid off to make this post?
ReplyDeleteIf not, you should totally work for their advertising department or something.
bad ass. This makes me want to start bringing a lunch to work/school
ReplyDeleteThat's a sweet lunchbox. Does the other side have Twlight, Rarity, and Applejack?
ReplyDeleteWhat's attached to it? Pens?
You forgot the "Sethisto. We're done here." Part
ReplyDeleteIs there anyway I can purchase this without making a trip to Canada? The hundreds I would spend on gas plus the ten dollar price probably puts it out of my price range otherwise.

ReplyDeleteGood work getting this far, future-starter! That said, if you are un-many, sexist, or adverse to pink in such a way that the future should not start with you, please return to your primitive internet forum and send back someone better-qualified for ponies.
Darn you, Canada! Something else to spend my money on if I get the chance.
ReplyDelete"You need that money for the inevitable brony centric toy line that Hasbro hopefully releases in the near future!"
We can only hope to be able to hand over our entire life savings in the name of this. :)
Considering their demographic you would think they would make it slightly more appealing to older viewers.

Sethisto you be crazy. No self respecting man would carry around that lunchbox, no matter how much they love the show. And if any of you do go with that in public, god help you.
ReplyDeleteIf I had access to a TARDIS, aside from trying to use it to break into the ponies' reality, using it to go buy this would be the first thing on my mind.
ReplyDeleteOh Seth, you say like college students and business execs NEED reasons to buy a pony lunchbox.
ReplyDeleteIts ponies, that's all that matters.
...And when the evil lunch thieves of Stoke-on-trent opened up the pony lunchbag, Pinkie Pie armed with a massive bazooka lept forth from it's depths, and blew the criminals all the way to the center of the Everfree Forest, and then our favorite pink pony threw a massive street party for everyone, where there was much rejoycing.
ReplyDeleteI have no idea why I typed that, but still that looks like an awesome lunchbag to have.
best sales pitch EVAR!!! They should make a commercial using that pitch and i bet they could make loads of cash from the hundreds of buyers
ReplyDelete@Bitmun
ReplyDeleteWhen life gives you lunchboxes, don't make sandviches for them! Make life take the lunchboxes back! Demand to see life's manager! I DON'T WANT YOUR DAMN LUNCHBOXES, WHAT THE HAY AM I SUPPOSED TO DO WITH THESE?! MAKE LIFE RUE THE DAY IT THOUGHT IT COULD GIVE CAVE JOHNSON LUNCHBOXES-- DO YOU KNOW WHO I AM?! I'M THE GUY WHO'S GONNA BURN YOUR HOUSE DOWN! WITH THE LUNCHBOXES! I'M GONNA GET MY ENGINEERS TO DESIGN A COMBUSTIBLE LUNCHBOX THAT BURNS YOUR HOUSE DOWN!!!
>Samurai Sams
ReplyDelete>Seth is from somewhere in Arizona
Seth, are you talking about the Samurai Sams at Rural and University? Also, why is that the only thing I got from this post?
HAPPY CANADIAN BRONY IS HAPPY
ReplyDeleteProTip: Target owns Zellers.
ReplyDeleteTHEY HAVE A PINKIE PIE BUBBLE BLOWER NOW!! :)
ReplyDeleteIf only Toys 'r Us stocked them.
ReplyDeleteThey got a 'buy a back pack, get a lunch bag free' deal and was hoping they had some ponies.
Oh Seth, you magnificent salesman :D
ReplyDeleteQuick! Somepony send it to the moon! I need something to hold my alfalfa burger!
ReplyDeleteOoh, a seal of approval with Trixie on it! That must mean that under any scrutiny the product turns out to be of poor quality and completely unable to perform as advertised! I'm totally sold on not buying this. Thanks, Trixie!
ReplyDeleteSeth you should be in marketing. =D It makes me want to go raid Canada just for this. And I'm like 1500 miles away....
ReplyDelete@PonyPonyPonyBrony
ReplyDelete*cocks Raindow Dash custom shotgun*
You stay the hay away from me and my country!!!
@NotAGoodUsername360
ReplyDelete"Raid" only as in "raid the fridge," darling. I love you guys. Toronto's the best city around for performing street magic. And you know how much we bronies like magic!
Back-to-School merch has started rolling in where I work. Once I start seeing My Little Pony items I'll be passing along the good word.
ReplyDeleteI'm expecting lunch bags, folders, notebooks, maybe a backpack or two, some pencil cases... who knows!
I have that! I thought they were everywhere, but Zelllars seems to have that and stickers along with the toys and that's it. I brought it to work and its a nice lunchbox considering I usually use bento boxes now.
ReplyDeleteYou have a food place at your college named Samurai Sams? Epic, we only have silly OSU themed names at my school.
ReplyDeletethere is a Zellers 3 blocks from my house, if there is not a pony lunch bag when I get there. I am gonna bust a hoof off in some jabrony's candyapple flank.

@NotAGoodUsername360
ReplyDeleteSo Cave Johnson invented the bottlecap mine? Makes sense.
Just checked out the Zellers in Vancouver.. Nothing. Hopefully they'll come to stock this way soon!
ReplyDelete@zZDarkMemoriesZz
ReplyDeleteI dropped into Zellers after work and bought one. Unfortunately it has a very manly smell. I was sitting here wondering where the bicycle inner-tube smell was coming from. Finally I discovered that it was coming from the MLP lunchbag sitting on the Kitchen chair next to me. It was a relief that it wasn't my laptop overheating or a jammed belt in the fridge or something. So yes, MLP lunchbag is very manly.
@ TechiFreak5: It's big enough for two small frozen dinners and a fruit (my usual lunch) but only for three cans of beer at best.
@ Anonymous 3:27: Made in China for Calego International, a "proud Canadian company". So maybe Target will distribute them in the US, and maybe not.
@ Anonymous 3:30: No pens and the back has no image, just plain pink canvas framed with a glitter seam.
@ l0x0r: Get someone to mail one to you.
@ Anonymous 4:01: It's way embarassing, but the looks of horror on the faces of my collegues at work will be worth it.
Bought one for my kid @ a Calgary Zellers today. Searched for a matching backpack or pencil case to no avail. I don't see why backpacks wouldn't be released in the near future, so fingers crossed.
ReplyDeleteI just called the closest Zellers (only about a 20 minute walk), and they said they had none, nor any record of a spot in their product inventory for it.
ReplyDeleteFFFFFFFFUUUUUUU
Gonna start calling the other Zellers. I SWEAR, ONE OF THEM BETTER HAVE IT. >=O
Okay, so it seems that it will be out in full swing when the Back to School items all arrive. One of the Zellers has them, but it's 30km away and I have no way of getting there (other than walking, of course, but I sure don't feel like walking /that/ far). I guess I'll just wait for the Back to School sales to start. :/
