You guys seem to go in spurts. One day I will receive a mailbox full of stories, and the next, a mailbox full of PMVS. You can probably guess what today was.
The first one is actually really well done, for only using content from a single episode.
Also some Twilight sparkle and anime opening style stuff!
1.) Cutie Mark Chronicles -- Theatrical Trailer
2.) Twilight Rising
3.) Last Friendship - Raireki

ReplyDeleteHoly cats, that first one was epic.
ReplyDeleteWow that first one was really well done
ReplyDeleteNOT FIRST! shock and awe!
ReplyDeleteI wish my internet was fast enough to watch these with out waiting an hour for it to buffer...I do add them to the watch latter list thing
Hajime no Pony?
ReplyDeleteFirst one was pretty epic
ReplyDeleteThat first one was awesome.
ReplyDeleteHoly crap, the first video gave me chills in three or four places.
ReplyDeleteDamn, the first one was pretty epic!
ReplyDeleteIs there a yooutube version of the first one so I can favorite it? :D
ReplyDelete@Anonymous
ReplyDeleteThe first one unfortunately got blocked on YouTube due to its audio track, which is a shame, because it's totally awesome.
They're all great but I have a question about the second one: just who painted the scene of Nightmare Moon leading humans against her sister? It looks absolutely amazing.
ReplyDelete~Ardashir
Oh my freakin' gawd....the first one is just...*speechless*
ReplyDelete@AnonymousNo apparently youtube blocks the music or something.
ReplyDeleteSTOP IT VIDEO ONE YOU'RE MAKING ME CRY
ReplyDeleteWow these were all really good. The first one especially. The second one though, Exile Vilify always give me crazy chills.
ReplyDeleteThe first and last ones were quite epic, thank you!
ReplyDeleteWhile the last two were a bit underwhelming for me for reasons I can't quite explain (something about the music in the second one just didn't quite work for me), the first one figuratively knocked my socks off. The music is very well synced to the visuals, especially when the Sonic Rainboom happens. Sure it was odd for a trailer in that it rather spoiled the plot for the whole "movie," but it just worked so well that I can't care about that. Well, off to figure out how to rip videos from Vimeo...
ReplyDelete1: Pure artistry right here, if I do say so myself (and believe me, I do).
ReplyDelete2: Exile Vilify, eh? Congrats on using the one song by The National that I actually like. Decent, otherwise.
3: Eh, doesn't really do anything for me, but props, nonetheless.
Not sure if this is the place to post this, seeing as it is a bit off-topic, but remember that drawball stuff from yesterday? The giant Rarity pic is dead (may it rest in piece), but smaller scale ponies are popping up all over the place there and remaining relatively unmolested. Also, somepony has started a giant Vinyl Scratch and is pretty far on the outline.
ReplyDeleteOMFG, First and last ones are beyond words. Do I need to say it? Yes. This page just became 20% cooler.
ReplyDeleteI love anime intros, and with ponies makes it 20% cooler
ReplyDelete@Anonymous
ReplyDeleteIt's by Moe. He doesn't have a website that I know of -- he's got dozens of works on this sight though.
The Last one reminds me of bleach......and oh yeah, THE FIRST ONE WAS EPIC!!!
ReplyDeleteDUDE! That first one is just epic!
ReplyDeleteWhat was the music that was used?
Holy crap, that's a ton of positive feedback! Thanks, guys!
ReplyDeleteI do feel bad about the Youtube situation. More than anyone, *I'd* like it to be on Youtube so I could check Insight and have it next to all my other videos. But it's partly my fault, since I knew going in that The Funeral doesn't play well with Youtube. But I did it anyway! Nothing stands between me and the songs I love!
Honestly, I was hoping the added audio and all the re-sampling might keep it from getting detected. Unfortunately they're smarter than that. :<
My word, that first video was simply smashing! Jolly good show guvna.
ReplyDelete@Bugsydor
ReplyDeleteOne plus of Vimeo is that it makes downloading videos really easy! It gives you a download button down and to the right, under 'About this video'!
Assuming, of course, the video owner allows the button to be there. Which I totally do. My iPod is chock-full of all my favorite PMVs.
@ph00tbag
Crying about ponies? Ppth! That's silly!
It's not like MY eyes water every time I see Granny Smith and Big Macintosh run out to meet Applejack.
Or every time I watch Big Macintosh right as Applejack's leaving.
That would be s-silly.
That Cutie Mark trailer was amazingly well done. I single episode trailers become a trend.
ReplyDeleteDOOD! The first one made me crap my pants, and I don't care! If all the previews to each episode had that effect, my laundry bill would be horrendous, but I STILL wouldn't care.
ReplyDelete1) As has been said multiple times previous: epic. Though I also thought while watching that it kinda gives the whole plot away. But if you look at it like it's actually a 2-hour long movie (if only :D), it fits much better.
ReplyDelete2) I really liked it. Not much else to say.
3) Props. Can't say I'm into anime, but whatever.
FIRST VIDEO
ReplyDeleteALL OF MY MONEY, TAKE IT!
(confound this youtube block, it drives me to use regular bookmarks)
Ok, seriously, the CMC trailer is so amazing I had to watch it like 4 times. Excellent, excellent work.
ReplyDelete@colt classic
ReplyDeleteIt's from an anime called Hajime No Ippo.
My god, the first one was Luna Tier. The only thing to make it better was if it was a real movie.
ReplyDeleteDoes anypony else notice that Applejack has her hat on for a split second when she's running toward the farm?
ReplyDelete@Daniel Madison
ReplyDeleteI already have plans for a Party of One trailer. My mind, it's full of pony. O_O
All of them are amazing! I love especially the 1st one :3
ReplyDeleteWowie Zowie These are really welldone! :D
ReplyDeleteWhoa, whoa, whoa, hold up. I just noticed the post image.
ReplyDeleteColgate + saddlebags + popsicle + sweaty brow = Wha-huh?
It... I don't... I guess she can do normal stuff, but... hmmm. It's well drawn I guess, but why does it even exist?
I can't see the first one, but U hear above me twas epic, two was a good pmv butnthe music was not to evocative for me, and that last one, the musics soo good I honestly didn't oay much attention to the actual clips, was reading lyrics. Did look well edited though.
ReplyDeletefirst one nearly made me want to cry...nearly...
ReplyDeleteThat first video was kinda cool.
ReplyDeletedo I spy colgate in this picture?
ReplyDeleteOh man, that last one was so Japanese. It was awesome.
ReplyDeleteAnd as in b4, vid 1 caused manly tears.
@The Linker
ReplyDeleteKeep posting them on vimeo if you can please.
There's tons of great pony videos folks in Germany can't watch because of copyright issues.
I cannot express enough love in words for the first video. Celestia, that is exactly why I love that episode so much.
ReplyDeleteThe third one had an awesome beginning, but it kinda lost steam for me after a bit.
Someone crossed MLP:FiM with Hajime no Ippo.
ReplyDeleteI want my tombstone to have a video screen in it that plays only this. I can die happy.
There are all awesome !!!
ReplyDeleteFirst video was *INCREDIBLE!* Also, incredibly moving in a lot of ways. I will now go and watch episode 23 again. <3
ReplyDeleteI made the second one so I can't really comment on it, except to say thanks for all the positive feedback~ <3 It's the first video I've made, and my kids and I had a lot of fun putting it together. I'm glad it's connecting with people and was kinda shocked it was considered good enough to get posted here.
The third one... I've never seen a single episode of Hajime no Ippo and this video makes me reeeeally want to rectify that.
@Anonymous
ReplyDeleteto see blocked youtube videos use one of those auto-proxy-tools like hotspot shield
I can't even go on to watch the second and third before I get this off my chest;
ReplyDeleteHoly. Flankhumping. Hell.
That first one was amazing.
You complete bastard, Linker, you made me cry at work.
ReplyDelete*goes to watch it and cry at work again*
@Anonymous
ReplyDeleteReally!
I mean, Youtube should tell me if one of my videos is blocked in Germany, right? Cause I have one like that. I used a song by Red, and it's blocked in Germany and nowhere else.
None of my other videos should be so restricted, right?
I do promise, though, that if any of my videos are blocked anywhere at all I'll zip right over to Vimeo with it. Actually, I plan to do that with all my videos anyway. I like the notion that I can update any of them whenever I want.
Cutie Mark Chronicles -- Theatrical Trailer
ReplyDeleteVideos like this make me believe again that the world is such a wonderful place where there is hope, friends and wonders everywhere :)
Second vid:
For some strange reason, despite the lack of any omgüberawesome editing, i genuiely like it. It has something to it that makes it lovely.
Third: I still don't like those :-/
I'm not against anime but not particulary a fan, and all those intros/songs/themes/etc sound all the same to me, even the translations :(
Not my stuff. But therefore I wont rate it either. Wouldnt be fair.
1. Pretty fucking epic. One problem; WHY NOT YOUTUBE?
ReplyDelete2. Aww, I thought this was going to be a PMV of the new Dark Knight Rising trailer...
3. WEEABOO SHIT
Cutie Mark Chronicles -- Theatrical Trailer
ReplyDeleteI cried.
@GabuEx
ReplyDeleteAnon's liking for Youtube has been lowered!
I liked the first and last one, I don't get much good anime watching time in anymore, but the openings are always awesome!
ReplyDeleteI've been listening Exile Vilify whole week (also drawing fanart for Rattmann...) and I had no idea what the second video would be...
