*Update* Aww... the Great and Powerful Trixie appreciates your love! Of course she will be back in the future!
Check out that bow. Could RARITY pull off wearing something so epic? I think not.
ONWARD!
Story of the Blanks hits the front page on Newgrounds!
The creepy as hell Applebloom game, Story of the Blanks, has made the front page on newgrounds in the "Featured games" section. Hopefully this spur some more awesome pony flash games over there!
Now where the hell is my dating sim? Not that I'd play something like that or anything. Please hurry up!
Celestia Medium Font Updated
Looks like Mattyhex over on Deviant Art is adding a bunch of new stuff and tweaking some existing letters from Purple Tinker's much loved Celestia Medium font. His current build is ready for download. You can find it here!
Blind Bags arrive in Denmark
Apparently Toys R' us stores around Denmark are currently stocked with blind bag toys. They also come with a bit of extra information on the cards inside, listing various countries. Either this means they have silently snuck into a ton of places at once, or they are in the process of becoming available. Regardless, it's still the only way to get Fluttershy!
Have a list!
GB - Great Britain
F - France
D - Germany
E - Spain
P - Portugal
I - Italy
NL - Holland / The Netherlands
S - Sweden
DK - Denmark
GR - Greece
PL - Poland
TR - Turkey
Pony Flash Project Updated
There are a few flash games, and I'm not 100% sure of a good way to differentiate them, so just click here to find out which one I'm talking about!
Anyway, the creator has fixed various bugs, and added a whole pile of new objects and tests to the current demo. You can find it on the same page, in the same location, here!
GTA San Andreas Skin Mods
A bunch of new mods have popped up for GTA San Andreas. Most of them are for cars, but you can also find a pretty cool jet one in there that adds rainbow dash style colors to the actual engines of the aircraft.
You can find all of the mods here!
Fallout Equestria Sprite Comic
Urimas over on Deviant art is working on a sprite comic for the ridiculously popular Fallout Equestria fanfic. So far he has worked through a good amount of chapter one. You can find it here!
Dash Drive Raffle
For those of you looking to win a Dash Drive, the monthly raffle has begun for this month. You can find the page for it here!
More Twilight Library Attacks!
Twilight Sparkle has struck again! Children everywhere are slowly moving from their portable electronic devices to good old fashioned books thanks to the second greatest and most powerful unicorn in all of Equestria.
This was apparently from a library here in Arizona. They snuck her picture into various locations around the facility. This might not be the best way to get her officially approved like some of the others across the country, but they get an A for effort I suppose!
Pony Painter Taking Requests
This guy likes painting ponies... a lot.
He asked me to drop a request in here for suggestions on more paintings.
I'm pretty sure the best response possible would be some Twixie! But I'll let you all decide in comments!
Equestria Daily News
Heey, I actually managed to get an event out today. I'm so happy. I'm thinking of making the Ponies Around the World event a weekly thing, since a lot of people in comments asked for deadline changes to match various vacations.
And that is all for the news tonight! Short and sweet.

Nice. I never read Fallout: Equestria, though. Maybe I should. :O
ReplyDeleteStory of the Blanks creeped me out so much... D:
ReplyDelete>second greatest and most powerful unicorn in all of Equestria
ReplyDeleteSilly Seth, that's not how you spell single!
No Trixie in season 2?!?
ReplyDeleteHasbro...
Why you no give Trixie another episode?
@Pegasi
ReplyDeleteEven if you never read ANY fanfiction on this site, at the very least try FO:E
Story of the Blanks was awesome! So glad to see it on the front page.
ReplyDeleteAlso: BLIND BAGS, Y U NO COME TO CANADA?
Story of the Blanks was not as scary as i expected, but it was fun to play. Now if there was a sequel...
ReplyDelete@PonyPainter
ReplyDeleteAny chance for better quality of paintings? Scanner/decent cam shot?
Damn brony.
ReplyDeleteThat FO:E Sprite story is amazing. I would like to shake Urimas' hand.
Also, blindbags in Denmark? Nearest Toys R' Us, here I go!
No Trixie!?!?!
ReplyDeleteNOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!
http://www.nooooooooooooooo.com/
No Trixiee.....WHAT IS THIS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
ReplyDeleteThat Fluttershy is awesome. Great job on the painting! My vote is for Sweetie Belle, maybe singing or something, because Sweetie Belle is best pony, and no one seems to love her but me.
ReplyDeleteNote that you can get ponies from http://www.eurotoys.dk/site/My_Little_Pony.asp?site=452 as well in Denmark, Sweden, Germany, UK and Norway.
ReplyDeleteWhere did the no Trixie in season 2 come from? I just started liking her too... :(
ReplyDeleteToo bad. There are no MLPFiM available in the Philippines. :(
ReplyDeleteMaaaaad wooorld...
ReplyDeleteNo Trixie?
But they, can't, they, shan't!
("I AM YOUR FATHER!")
"NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!"
Hmm, for Sethisto: A dating sim where the options are Trixie, Trixie, Trixie, Trixie, spam, and Trixie.
ReplyDeletehttp://www.youtube.com/watch?v=5BmEGm-mraE
ReplyDeleteOH THE SADNESS!
The FOEq project is everything I ever wanted and then some! :B
ReplyDeleteAlso, even though I'm not a big Trixie fan (Twilight being the best pony and all) I'm sorry to hear that she won't be making an appearance. She deserves more character developement just like Gilda!
NEW ZEALAND, Y U NO HAVE PONY TOYS. ;A;
@GreatSnapper
ReplyDeleteWell, Sweetie Bell is my favorite secondary character...
I really liked Story of the Blanks, as short as it was. It was so well made, whoever made it deserves to be featured.
ReplyDeleteThat newgrounds flash got me a bit creeped up. Amazing quality and great story, I wish there was more.
ReplyDeleteDenmark and Sweden, but no Norway :(
ReplyDelete@Anonymous: No Ireland either :(
ReplyDeleteIreland's usually lumped in with the UK for stuff like this.
ReplyDeleteIs there any system for identifying what's inside the blindbags? Anybody who collects the Lego figures will know about the barcodes and bumpcodes that company uses, though they keep changing them to prevent the codes being cracked. Other companies with similar products aren't as fussy, I can't imagine that Hasbro care.
Won't be coming back? I dunno, I didn't think we'd be seeing the last of Trixie. I've been almost certain we'd see her make at least another appearance in Season 2. If not an entire episode dedicated to our favorite Great and Powerful unicorn.
ReplyDeleteI quite like those custom flash drives too. Very snazzy. Think I may enter into trying to win one perhaps.
As for the Blind Bags. They need to make their way to the US market already.
From here in Arizona? there are more ponies in the waist lands of Arizona? Why do we not have a gathering happening here then? I am sure there is a perfectly satisfactory tea shop someplace we could meet under polite and civil conditions.
ReplyDelete@Anonymous
ReplyDeleteYep http://www.equestriadaily.com/2011/05/blind-bags-are-identifiable.html
This held true for the blind bags in Denmark.
WOLOLOOLOLOLOL!!! U BE TROLLIN' SETH!
ReplyDelete@markocezar
ReplyDeleteY U SCARES US LIKE THAT!?!? :D
Stroy of the Blanks wasn't really that scary, even if it was meant to be some form of creepypasta. I'd rather call it atmospheric and suspenseful with a few shock moments.
ReplyDeleteWait... Fluttershy isn't available? I have her toy right here...
ReplyDeleteBlind bags to Belgium please :D
ReplyDeleteIt's a shame there are no real landmarks here...
ReplyDeletePonies in Denmark? And the codes WORK!?! BRB, going to nearest Toys'r'us and getting my Rainbow Dash!
ReplyDeleteMethinks I may have to take a trip into town soon and check out my local Toys R Us for any decent looking Pony merch.
ReplyDeleteOn a side note, I'd LOVE to buy a dash drive, only they don't offer international shipping. :'(
Anyone know if the dash drive raffle is open to us overseas bronies? It didnt specify, but the supplier site only allows registration/shipping to those in the US =(
ReplyDeleteTrixie is my third favorite pony, so I hope she returns in season two.
ReplyDelete@GreatSnapperI love sweetie belle!
ReplyDelete@shadefox
ReplyDeleteI read lots of fanfic actually. But I stay away from crossovers if I can't realte to the stuff it's crossed over with. That being said: I never played any of the Fallout games.
Wow I really should have sooner played story of the blanks, it was great. Ok it's more like an interactive story but still very good.
ReplyDeleteBlind bags in poland!!! Yaaaaaaaayyyyyy!!!!!!!! I'm so happy!
ReplyDelete@Wlah
ReplyDeleteWhat did they cost? Their site doesn't seem to have them.
Every Nightly Roundup there is a story of ponies appearing on the front page of some sort of major website. I'm trying to figure out what websites haven't had a pony moment......I don't think IGN has done anything on us. I think thats about it.
ReplyDeleteThanks for the codes, Wlah. So they just numbered them? Wow, they really don't care.... I don't plan to collect these, I just want a Rarity for the desk, so that'll save me a bit of money.
ReplyDeleteNekoneko: As I understand it, these aren't sold in blind bags in the States, they're sold in boxes with the pony visible and Fluttershy wasn't available. Her model in the blind bags is just Rainbow Dash recoloured.
@Anonymous Still confused...
ReplyDeleteStory of the Blanks was creepy as heeellllll.....But fun!
ReplyDelete@Anonymous
ReplyDeleteI asked the chap running the fraffle, and he said it is open to overseas bronies. I'm form the UK and I was able to enter fine. :)
@Luna Epona
ReplyDeletehttp://www.meetup.com/Bronies-Phoenix/
3 days is not nearly long enough. "Never" would be the best time for Trixie's next appearance. But how about we be fair about this--I realize that some people have deluded themselves into thinking that Trixie is a character with any depth or redeeming qualities whatsoever, so why don't we schedule these annoying Trixie images according to her actual relevance? She can show up once every 25 posts, which is an accurate portrayal of her actual importance to the show and anything else, since she showed up once in 25 episodes (which generously assumes that the first 2 episodes count as 1). That way those of us with some grasp of reality won't be so sick to death of her, and those of you that like to imagine her as a character worth even the tiniest second glance can still get as much of her as you needed to become obsessed in the first place.
ReplyDelete@Luna Epona
ReplyDeleteBut there is!
Blind bags in Spain
ReplyDeleteMust buy ponies
Blind bags in the Netherlands? I'm okay with this!
ReplyDeleteAlso, Trixie + bow tie = tooo cute ;<
I've played Story Of The Blanks, not a bad little game.
ReplyDeleteFO:E comic needs its own post!
ReplyDeleteAlso, should Trixie show up again in Season 2? I'm not sure. All that would do is canonize one of the popular interpretations of her character, whether it be the stubbornly egotist who never learned her lesson, the repentant Trixie with a troubled past, or the successful showmare who still needs to learn a bit about friendship.
ReplyDelete@C. Theron Vulpin Not that I think any of those being canonized will affect the fandom long-term, but it could create an upset.
ReplyDeleteI, for one, approve the new GTA San Andreas skins, someone should really do a MTA or SAMP server for Equestria Daily, i can't because i friggin don't know how.
ReplyDelete@Basharoonskis
ReplyDelete@Basharoonskis My sentiments exactly. *sighs*
For the love of God, Do NOT, DO NOT STOP POSTING Trixie!
ReplyDeleteWait... blindbags IN SWEDEN?!
ReplyDeleteHECK YES.
@Flamerunner
ReplyDeleteI agree.
Just sayin', paypal doesn't allow raffle ticket purchases. I got in trouble with them when I hosted my clay pony raffle. :/
ReplyDeleteThough huzzah about Story of the Blanks! I loved that game so much I sculpted a little Blank with my Apple Bloom (: http://eneha.deviantart.com/#/d3l7sqd
Seth, why do you have a boderline obsession with a one time character with no personality?
ReplyDeleteBut, yesterday was, not bad. It wasn't the best day for Bronies, but we got some cool stuff.
Ha, I have that same karaoke machine.
ReplyDeleteI noticed the raffle will be held each month, I'm assuming for different pony drives. Does that mean there will be a Scratch Drive Raffle? Will we be notified?
Wait, where all this 'no Trixie in second season' crap comes from? Is this official? Any links? Is this trolling? Why the fuck would they throw away a character they obviously put a lot of work into. Look at her desing, at her animation and facial expressions, her voicework. Are they fucking retarded? If she's not in season 2, i'm officialy done with this cartoon.
ReplyDeleteThe fact that the Fallout: Equestria fanfic is a crossover with something I'm unfamiliar with is actually the main reason that I haven't read it. I'm hearing a lot of good things about it, though, so I'd like to know: how does familiarity/unfamiliarity with Fallout impact the entertainment value of the fanfic?
ReplyDeleteNo trixie in S2? *plays M. Bison's YES! YES!
ReplyDeleteA flash game, eh? Can it be that creepy? Let's give it a--
ReplyDeleteAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAH
AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAH
@Cyberfox
ReplyDeleteThe majority of the Fallout stuff is worked into the story seamlessly, so if you don't know much about Fallout, you won't notice when a reference is being made.
The only glaring things that have come from the Fallout world is, of course, the post-apocalyptic Wasteland and its inhabitants. But since the protagonist knows nothing about the Wasteland when she undergoes her journey, readers who are not familiar with Fallout will still feel like they can relate to the characters and stick with the story.
The only thing one could really get confused about is the PipBoy computer (called a PipBuck in the fiction), thankfully it is quickly and thoroughly explained in the first few chapters.
How about, for the paintings, have an evil Twilight Sparkle being saved by Trixie? :P
ReplyDeleteI loved trixie before loving her was mainstream!
ReplyDelete@Anonymous
ReplyDeleteThe raffle is indeed open to overseas folk! I'd have to ship it to myself and mail it out to you,
@Moongaze
ReplyDeleteDon't pay for raffle tickets with paypal D: You could get your account suspended/banned, they don't allow raffle ticket purchases. At least don't have it listed as a raffle ticket purchase, if you're going to be using paypal anyway.
...
ReplyDeleteWhy did ah get the feeling ah was playing Luna Game again?
I like Trixie, Her animation had lots of personality, and her voice actress is one of my favorites, Kathleen Barr (Dot from ReBoot).
ReplyDeleteI wouldn't mind seeing Trixie show up again since she's fun but I won't be upset if she doesn't show up again. Boast Busters was a fun episode but I don't think Trixie should be excused for acting like a jerk because fandom believes she has a sappy sympathetic backstory. I still think she's an awesome character but I just don't think she's better than the main cast.
@PoorYorick
ReplyDeleteI must agree, here. Is this simply a joke or is there some sort of confirmation of Trixie not being in season two? I'm leaning to joke, because of the struck-out words, but you might wanna say one way or another before you get a herd of angry Bronies stampeding into here.
Painter guy: Do Flutterpie! Pinkieshy? Whatever. NOW DO IT.
ReplyDeleteShould ai get a blind bag? Nah I'd rather keep my dignity.
ReplyDelete>Now where the hell is my dating sim?
ReplyDeleteI happen to know that there is a chance of a short Demo coming soon...
Yo seth, i says that the specific picture was from palo alto btw :D
ReplyDeletebut i'm stuck here in AZ...
come on desert bronies, i think a meetup is in order for surviving the dust storm :P
I went and got the raffle tickets from dash drives...
ReplyDeleteand my pay pal account goes under supervision...
what?
omg the story of the blanks is scary at 1:00 am
ReplyDelete@ Cyberfox:
ReplyDeleteMy own knowledge of Fallout was limited to watching a friend play about 15 minutes of the first game...and even that was about 5 years ago. There are moments within the story that do feel like I've missed a reference (the PipBoy/PipBuck probably being the most noticeable) but the post-apocalyptic world and its characters are interesting and fleshed out well enough that the story really does stand on its own. As (other Anonymous) said, previous knowledge of the games isn't crucial to understanding or enjoying Fallout: Equestria.
However, some of the more ...disturbing... parts in the stories are probably made doubly so by the mere combination of cartoon marshmallow ponies with a wasteland hellhole, and an active imagination can make for some pretty messed up mental imagery while you read. Despite enjoying the story, some chapters have driven me to binge on happy fluffy g-rated fics afterward. :)
@Anonymous
ReplyDeleteI bought the blind bags in Toys R Us at 15kr a piece.
Wait a sec while I check around this library..... nope, darn it!!!!!

Interesting... well, I never liked not getting references, but maybe I'll look into it if I have time.
Thanks for the responses!
