ReplyDeleteYou kinda need to finish the title BEFORE posting these Seth....
ReplyDeleteI always love to see knew pony music! :)
ReplyDeleteKeep it up Bonys!
*new pony music
ReplyDeleteSound recording quality in 1 and 3 is terrible, the background music just doesn't match with the singing in #2
ReplyDelete#2 so nearly works. Nearly.
ReplyDeleteI thought Giggle at the Ghostly good and silly. It was like a super auto-tuned version.
ReplyDeletewho decided to cover Kryptonite? And why did they do a better job than the original?
ReplyDeleteOMG, #1 turns me into a grinning idiot. :D I love it!!
ReplyDelete#1 was a pretty good re-write of the original song, and a tribute to one of my top three episodes. I approve.
ReplyDeleteI really like the concept of #2, but the distortion that went into the pitch correction is distracting. I know you can only work with what you have, but at the same time, I'd be more interested to see someone actually record this song.
#3 was funny.
The parody wasn't that bad, some of the parts didn't match up that well with the original, but it's not bad.
ReplyDeleteMy Turn ^.^
If I go crazy then will you still call me Pinkie Pie?
When I send telegrams, will you all come or will you just lie?
I stopped those parasprites and you didn't listen, why?
You all lieeeeeeee
*guitar riff*
For god's sake put a sock on Rarity's horn!
ReplyDelete1: Damn good. Pretty well-sung and lyrics were also nice. I'd heard the original song before but now I'm gonna check it out again.
ReplyDelete2: Blecch, to be honest. The way the lyrics were slowed down and the pitches were shifted wasn't very pleasant.
3: Decent, but I'm not so keen on it. Also, lyrics were confirmed as "Ghostly" by the actual lyric sheet, sorry to all those (including me) who lost that debate. I still say Ghostie is more in-character but that's neither here nor there.
1 and 2 were okay.
ReplyDeleteBut 3 sounded like an old irish robot.
I love the first vid! I love how this fandom inspires people(bronies)to make something like this :)
ReplyDeleteThe second was okay. If only the background noises weren't there.
The last one was.....I'm gonna be honest here, creepy. Interesting, but unsettling. No offense to the creator :)
Oh. My. Celestia. #1 is awesome.
ReplyDeleteI love these.
ReplyDeleteAll of these.
Everything about these.
All of my love.
My pony-obsessed, 3 Doors Down-loving mind did a manly backflip for the first one. SO MUCH WIN!
ReplyDeleteDat octavia picture is amazing :D somepony write a fanfic about it!
ReplyDelete1. I liked 3 Doors Down...WHEN I WAS 12. One of the best brony singers I've heard though.
ReplyDelete2. Didn't do it for me. Too...odd.
3. lulz. Would've been better if Master Chief (MS Sam) voiced it.
I thought the first was pretty good overall. Also good song. The second isn't a terrible idea. But it wasn't executed the best. Needs work. The third was a fun little thing I s'pose. Kinda quirky, but that's fine. lol
ReplyDeleteThat last one. was. awesome!
ReplyDeletefor part of the 2nd one, the Mane6 sounded like Alvin and the chipmunks...
ReplyDeleteIsn't it weird that Art of the Dress, definitely one of the top songs of season one, hasn't produced the same quality remixes and fan songs as Giggle at the Ghostly and Winter Wrap Up?
ReplyDeleteThe idea of that second song was great, and it got ever so close to being awesome, but the terrible sound quality and distortion just kind of killed the singing. I'm no expert at audio manipulation, but couldn't this be cleaned up and the pitch change corrected? It would be a very interesting song at least.
Can't say much about those other songs - the first one is very well executed, but without knowing the original song, I can't judge the parody. The third one is just plain weird and not my cup of tea.
The only one I could finish was the last one the other two were just meh...
ReplyDeleteMy great essay died as I signed into Google whilst critiquing Rarity Hot Chili Peppers...
ReplyDeleteDistortion was a big detractor from the experience, and the up pitch for the other ponies, while kept true to Under The Bridge, made it feel...out of character, for lack of a better phrase, for AotD, as they sounded nigh indistinguishable.
At the same time, I never would've imagined it in a million years, and while it may not have been perfect I was still pleasantly surprised, and I do hope this sets the foundation for more pony/human song mash-ups.
i couldn't stop smiling at the first one...kryptonite + pinkie pie....my life is complete now..so much win..
ReplyDeleteI loved the second one, despite how it mangled the voices a bit (especially towards the end). Great idea, execution could have been better, overall good.
ReplyDeleteOn Number THree, Twilights voice had me cracking up... AHAHAHA
ReplyDeletethank you for all the critique
ReplyDelete(I made #2 BTW)
it was like my second mash up and it was made on audacity so it's not great
I'd love to see somepony make a better version
and the idea of recording isn't a bad idea
i've done a cover of under the bridge so i could just re-record the vocals
so yea
thanks guys :D
I actually like number two. The idea is great. I'd rather someone sing the song to fit than distort the show version that way, though.
