Usually I'm not too into rap.
I also tend to compile music.
But this sounds like it was professionally done in a full on studio. I wouldn't be surprised to find something like it on the radio. (Actually I'd probably go nuts.)
They have two different versions of it. You can listen to both below! I lean toward the remix myself.
Pony Swag (feat. Maros)
Pony Swag (Variant_Remix)
If we keep getting stuff of this quality, I wouldn't be surprised if our major media "Friends" started looking at us from a different light! (One can dream at least.)

ReplyDeleteYES!YES!YES!
I like it, I really do. I doubt we will ever see this on a mainstream network but its great to dream.
ReplyDeleteNAYC!
ReplyDelete"Musc: Pony Swag"
ReplyDelete"Musc:"
"Musc"
PONIES PONIES PONIES!!!
ReplyDeleteConfound you ponies! I...like this!
ReplyDeleteMusc? lol
ReplyDeleteI don't like rap and this hasn't changed that.
ReplyDeleteFUUUUUUU
ReplyDeleteWe convert rappers to bronyism, then they convert us to rap.
We're moving to unity bronies. The world is better under our flag.
pony
ReplyDeleteI usually don't like rap either. This is freakin' impressive.
ReplyDeleteI dunno why, but i like the first one more!!
ReplyDelete"IT AIN'T ME IT AIN'T ME I AIN'T NO FORTUNATE ONE NO!"
~CCR-"Fortunate Son"~
SWAG
ReplyDeleteSWAG
SWAG
SWAG
SWAG
I'm not sure if I'm impressed or disturbed.
ReplyDeleteEat your fuckin' heart out, Vanilla Ice.
ReplyDeleteThis is fantastic.
Oh My Gosh, Oh My Gosh, Oh My Gosh!
ReplyDeletefucken sweet!
ReplyDeletedidnt like the remix as much as the first one though. both were still fucken tasty though
Not usually into Rap but i aprove.
ReplyDelete@PhysicallyPossible
ReplyDeletethat's the best part right there.
I'm usually hard to sell on Rap, but I think I speak for most of us when I this is pretty damn awesome.
ReplyDeleteWow, just wow. Okay, I must say I'm not big on rap at all. It's just not my cup of tea typically. But dayum, those are indeed quite well made and extremely catchy. I also found the chorus to be kinda funny (Inb4 Chorus Guy). And I also lean more toward the Remix. I might be slightly biased though being a DJ. But yes, very nice job on those. Props to them.
ReplyDeleteOMGGG! This solves all my problems.
ReplyDeleteI've always been too embarrassed to listen to rap because my friends would judge me.
But now Ponies has some, I have an excuse!
Yes, I'm more embarrassed to listen to Eminem than watch My Little Pony.
@CoffeeGrunt
ReplyDeletelol, Rap was one of my generations music preferences that I disliked.
I will admit this is kind of catchy though. ( at least the first one, haven't checked the second one yet )
....i listen to Rapsody and Falconer... why do i love this
ReplyDeleteThis is fucking fantastic.
ReplyDeleteAll of my love.
ALL OF IT
This, here? This is fucking awesome.
ReplyDeletehow can people like, not like rap? whatthefuckamireading.jpg
ReplyDeleteSeriously, Eminem is shit. A lot of mainstream rap is shit, I understand you. Eminem's early music was... well i guess he can spit fast. That's about it. Don't get me started on Ludacris and shit.
But like, what about Scroobius Pip, or Saul Williams? They're stuff is art! It's poetry!
Everyone knows the best rapper alive is Rick Ross. Someone make a Rick Ross PMV or something.
ReplyDelete@Steken
ReplyDeleteEminem was very popular when I was in school. But like a lot of rappers at the time it seemed like excessive cursing and boring bgm's were the in thing and I just found it annoying.
My best friend counted how many time's he said specific words he used he listened to it so much... /sigh
SOON! All average videos with ponies across the internet will be erased, making way for THE NEW GENERATION, Furries will get expunged along with rule 34, and Friendship Is Magic will be confirmed for having over 12 seasons, Bronies shall be known for being the most talented profesional beings on the planet, Bronies will only consist of pros and will take over the world
ReplyDeleteFlutteryaay
ReplyDelete@Star Gazer Yeah I feel you. You know what's popular now? Skepta. Just listen to any of his songs. Some are so funny I don't know if he's serious and others are just saddening because he is serious.
ReplyDeleteAND I HAVE TO PRETEND TO LIKE IT BECAUSE EVERYONE ELSE DOES OH GOD WHY
I heard this yesterday and was extremely impressed with his rapping, turntablism and production skills. He's amazing, no question about it!
ReplyDeleteI'm a metalhead.
ReplyDeleteBut this has ponies :D I approve of this.
Holy hell that was amazing.
ReplyDelete>Usually I'm not too into rap.
ReplyDeleteYou and me both. If the singers actually...y'know, SUNG, instead of talk monotonously, it would be tolerable.
PMV of this in the works.
ReplyDeleteI'm dumbfounded, so much quality in so little time.
ReplyDelete(OhmygoshOhmygoshOhmygoshOhmygosh!)
I love rap. This blew my mind off its hinges, mostly because it combines rap and ponies (and because NotACleverPony's remix of PinkiePieSwear has been one of my favorite fan songs for a while). So I'm restraining my urge to critically scrutinize this song from every possible angle, like I do with everything, and I'm allowing myself to just enjoy it... for now.
ReplyDeletepretty sweet music :D
ReplyDeleteI'm not much into rap but this kind of impressed me.
ReplyDeleteAlthough the chorus could've been a bit better.
Thanks guys! I'm glad you like our rap song. It was pretty fun to do.
ReplyDeleteAlso @ the guy who thinks rappers should sing instead of rap, should all percussive instruments be tuned as well? Wouldn't that sound pretty dumb? I think that would sound pretty dumb.
ReplyDelete@Adolf Celestia
ReplyDeleteThe only thing that sounds good about that is 12 seasons.
People enjoy both watching and making average videos, not all furries and bad (what happened to love and tolereance?) people are allowed to like 34 even if you don't like it and excluding people with no talent isn't nice. I don't have any talent at all. The taking over the world sounds good too though. ;)
Anyway,I don't usually like rap but this is AWESOME!
While I was a bit turned off at first one, I thought the remix was great. Thanks to bronydom I now almost have any type of genre I don't listen to normally on my mp3 player haha.
ReplyDeleteIPOD MATERIAL!
ReplyDeleteRap is far and away my favorite genre of music, and I had some fun with this track.
ReplyDeleteWould I bump this in my car? Probably not, but it got my head nodding when I played it on my PC.
Electronica fan here, Pretty open when it comes to music, Loving it!
ReplyDeleteohmygoshohmygoshohmygoshohmygoshohmygoshohmygoshohmygoshohmygoshohmygoshohmygoshohmygoshohmygoshohmygoshohmygoshohmygoshohmygoshohmygoshohmygoshohmygoshohmygoshohmygoshohmygoshohmygoshohmygoshohmygoshohmygosh
The remix is even better!
It seems like the first one reached its download limit... Why is this world so cruel?!
ReplyDeleteThat was probably the best rap track about a kids show ever. You heard me, Turtle Power by Partners in Kryme!
ReplyDelete@Killerowl
ReplyDeleteYou can still get it, there's a download link in the SoundCloud description.
Legit good rapping, backing track by PPS...yeah, this is probably one of the best examples of the quality production bronies have. I need to step up my game >:3
ReplyDelete@Mosche Swaggenberger
ReplyDeleteYES YES YES YES THANK YOU YES YES YES YES YES YES YES YES.
Guys, don't download them from Soundcloud, they've got an upload of the full single album linked on the Soundcloud page.
ReplyDeleteAlso, shit is fuckin' SWAG
I particularly liked how they used both interpretations of Ghostie and Ghostly in it, as to avoid debate.
Confound these Ponies! They drive me to like all kinds f stuff!
ReplyDeleteThis is awesome, and that comes from a metalhead!
So awesome! /)o3o(\
I'm pony loving it!
ReplyDeleteSheesh, typical scenario here in this articl.
ReplyDelete'I dont like rap but cuz its about ponies I suddly think its good lolol'
These are the worst kind,
Hey, can we please get a metal brony song now?
ReplyDeleteSLKDJFSLDKJFLSKDJF
ReplyDeleteTHIS IS FRICKEN AMAZING
As someone who enjoys nerdcore hip-hop I really enjoyed this single, great work!
ReplyDeleteDidn't think I'd heard Swagberg's work before, but he reminds me of a certain other rapper who I've listened to a lot of... Won't say any more about that ;)
Like. Likelikelikelikelike.
ReplyDeleteHm, I heard somewhere the "vivi d" music in the background but I cant find it (somewhere on youtube).
ReplyDeleteHey guys, this was done by a Facepunch member, you can find the thread here:
ReplyDeletehttp://www.facepunch.com/threads/1105224-Pony-Swag
Facepunch is known for hating ponies, and has banned all ponies from the forum. Us Facepunch Pony refugees are still unsure as to why the thread still exists, and the OP hasn't been banned.
Both are amazing, remix is better though, since the chorus is cleaned up more, and it doesn't have that lame speech about SA in it (sorry Swag).
ReplyDeleteWe NEED more awesome folks spittin' pony rhymes.
I-I hate rap, but why can't I stop listening to this? ;_;
ReplyDeleteI love you, TH89.
ReplyDelete...WHAT THE HELL IS THIS AND WHY DO I LIKE IT.
ReplyDeleteI think a "Somuchwin.jpg" is in order.
ReplyDelete@Sterling Brave
ReplyDeleteYou probably don't hate rap; you just haven't found enough that you
enjoy :P
Most mainstream commercial rap is terrible, and it gives people the wrong idea about the genre as a whole.
Personally I recommend checking out Scrub Club Records for some awesome non-profit music. I'd start off with 'Dr. Awkward - Unlimited'; I love that album, and it helped get me into rap, when before then I listened mostly to dance music.
Your tastes may be different to mine though, so your mileage may vary :)
My above comment goes for others also who don't think they like rap yet enjoy this :P Not pony related, but genuinely good stuff.
ReplyDeletethis is actually pretty sick!
ReplyDeleteTo HELL with work! Now I cant download this because it hit a limit of some kind!
ReplyDelete@Anonymous
ReplyDeleteThat's just for the SoundCloud downloads, you can download the whole single here :)
http://cosmicduck.net/ponyswag/
It was made by TH89, who is a former moderator on the site. He is pretty well respected on the forums, so that's why it's still there.
ReplyDeleteAs pony rap goes, this is REALLY good, and I say that as someone who doesn't get rap. The opening is hilarious. The chorus is a little overbearing though. Not nearly as bad in the remix; but then I like the original version's music better. I still would say this is the DOUBLE G SAUCE STREET REPRESENT what do rappers say lol I dunno :V
ReplyDeleteAnd onto my iPod this goes. :D
ReplyDeleteDAAAAAYYYYUUUUMMMMM
ReplyDeleteYeah this sounds professional....
Somebody worked reeeeaaaallly hard on this.
Another thing to rub in my brony-hating friend's faces.
I don't want to sound like a jerk and maybe reveal a guy out, but the first link must be an alternate account of a guy named Kabuto The Python- a nerdcore rapper, http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ql8TOU442uc&feature=player_detailpage#t=23s that voice sounds a bit too familiar to a longterm Kabuto fan like me, Good to see he's a brony too.
ReplyDelete*Slow clap* That was awesome...
ReplyDeleteWelp, I didn't like rap before, and I don't really now... But if I had to listen to rap, I'd listen to this. Best rap I've come across.
ReplyDeleteGood for the most part except for the chorus which had a "forced rap" feel to it, you see that same thing in things like educational raps.
ReplyDeleteTH89 you're a hero
ReplyDeleteFacepunch send me here
@Anonymous
ReplyDeleteSo I'm not the only one to think that... ;)
@hardbeat Acolyte
ReplyDeleteA uhh, small bit of research later and I'm proven right, I won't say what I did though. But it's all good- This only makes Kabuto even cooler IMO...about 20% cooler.
This track is decent. I don't think it's nearly as amazing as some folks seem to be making it out to be.
ReplyDeleteonly at 1/5 of twista's rap speed. to see what i mean just look up look at me now ft. twista and skip chris browns part... lovin it btw
ReplyDeleteTwista isn't in look at me now. It's Chris Brown, Busta Rhymes and Lil Wayne...
ReplyDeleteOlllddd post but Swagberg's voice is SO FAMILIAR and I can't place it.
ReplyDeleteHas he been a voice in other pony videos maybe? He sounds almost natural to me as Twilight, it's really making me think I've heard it (or very similar) before.
I f*rainbow*g love this song. Made me rethink rap.
ReplyDeleteSwagberg changes his name every single time he releases a song,
ReplyDeleteHe's been BC & Submarine for Raptor Song, etc.
anyone has seen the video?
ReplyDeleteis f*cking A M A Z I N G!!! http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=p1HZp4ClFXY
"If we keep getting stuff of this quality, I wouldn't be surprised if our major media "Friends" started looking at us from a different light! (One can dream at least)"
ReplyDeletefunny how dream came reality :)
and funnier how we now have wonderfull iternet radio stations :D
