• Game: Legend of Celestia: Fluttershy's Quest

    Another game has fallen to the pony, and once again Fluttershy takes the lead!

    This one replaces link's sprite, and changes the color pallet of the world a bit to look more like Equestria.  He also swapped some of the text out, though this game was never very text heavy to begin with!

    I'm curious... Would you guys be up for a sprite swapping competition?  I honestly know very little about this, so I'm not too knowledgeable about the difficulty level. 

    I'm pretty sure ponies in any game is an improvement.  (aside from Mortal Kombat, unless they really are made out of fluffy rebuild able marshmallow.)

      Difficulty level? If it's anything like Link to the Past, it'll be pretty tough (though not until you reach the Tower of Hera or the Dark World). 'Course, I've played that game so many times it's second nature to me now.

      I see your genius plan Seth, but it won't fool me as I have zero programming experience! AHAHAHAHA!

      On topic anyhow, that Fluttershy looks really creepy, props for the effort though, I'm sure somebody will be enjoying this.

      Dunno about you, but I feel that Apllejack would be a far better fit for Mario than Pinkie Pie. Still, spot on with the Rainbow Dash to Sonic connection. Scootaloo could be tails, even though he can't fly so well right now. No other sonic side-characters should make the cut though. Kapische?

      That looks terrible. I would prefer an ACTUAL hack of Link to the Past over a simple palette and sprite swap. Also, SMW hacks.

      It's a shame BG is about the toughest possible game to work on. The humanoid player models are a very large set of sprites for the facing direction/animations/equipment. This is order of 1000 images to change.

      Of note we already have Fluttershy Land 2(mostly graphical stuff) and thats about it.

      I hope that guy is serious about earthbound, however their can only be four characters to choose from in the main party. Buzz buzz is a parasprite. Silver spoon and Diamond Tiara are pokey and picky.

      The main character is Twilight or Rarity, Pinkie gets jeff's position, Applejack is Poo and Paula will be performed by a gerbil or at least Fluttershy.

      I didn't make the sprites super ultra mega realistic but I'm a total amateur game/sprite hacker. I just figured there werent any zelda MLP hacks so I made one and I'm content enough with it. I wanted to make twilight sparkle so the title would be the legend of celestia twilight sparkle but I had very limited color options so I went with shutterfly.

      Imagine my disappointment when the evil wizard is not Trixie. Also what is up with Flutter's eyes? They're either really big or she's wearing pinkish shades. It is neat to see a ponified version of one of my fav games of all time tho.

      But Celestia sending her opponent to the moon where they die in the vacuum of space would be an AWESOME Fatality!

      Plus, you can't deny that Pinkie's "Harvest" Fatality would be just as awesome as it would be disturbing... especially if normal MK characters are involved...

      Yeah...I don't typically waste my time with developers who disable comments and fail to provide explicit contact info for their projects (no matter how minor the project).

      It just proves they didn't try too hard, and/or care too much, so why the heck should I?

      Geeze. Seriously. Looks like I got an itinerary of upcoming LPs. Though I dunno, I might just sit this one out. I never was able to beat Link to the Past...not on my own, anyway, even with the help of guides.

      Well a sprite swapping event would make sense since there was a lot of people wanting a Balder's Gate/Ponies mod. That said, This one looks a bit odd. Maybe the Link sprite doesn't work as well as Mario's but I can't move past the freaky eyes.

      Someone is going to help me make fluttershy look way cooler. A new version will come out in the next couple weeks. I know people aren't happy with the current fluttershy so I'll fix it.

      We need MLP/Earthbound, but characters should be:
      Ness- AJ/RD. Need to have a good physical type.
      Paula- Twilight Sparkle. Strong mental/ magic type.
      Jeff- I could say twi again because of studiousness.
      Poo- I don't have the slightest idea. Pinkie? poo is just too unexplained.
      Other than that, Cool.
