For all those who don't get the Fluttershy bean one it's from a series of commercials starring Mameshiba. The name has several little jokes in one. The words for bean and dog are included and also the entire word sounds similar to the word for trivia. The commercials are pretty funny in a weird way. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=mjmQw3JaTsE
So glad to see Madmax is out and about again! very nice comic too. Why is it that I get nearly every reference madmax makes? we must have had similar childhoods or something...
Predator's probably regretting taking Pinkie right now. I love the details in that last panel: Grim's skull (from Billy&Mandy) as a candle holder, the Pi symbol under Pinkie's head, the muffin article... And what's with the fez? Is Predator a Doctor Who fan? :P
Oh. Pinkie Pi. Wow. That is...ridiculously fitting. I thought it was short for Pinkie, and then I thought it was because she doesn't stop any sooner than pi does, and then I realized the last bit. Genius. And the whole sense out of randomness thing with completely random pi actually meaning a lot to mathematics.
regarding 2nd comic: Glue is actually very rarely made from animal products at all anymore since synthetics are much cheaper and more effective, gelatin's usually cow/pig bones since there's a surplus of those from the meat and leather industries, and the same goes for dog food.
Oh dear, Fluttershy is having a Charlton Heston moment. Quick, Someone distract her with something fluffy. What happened at the Gala must not happen again.

ReplyDeleteThe Madmax comic had me chuckling, but I lost it when I realized that the name tag on Pinkie's head on the wall was the symbol " π " aka "Pi"
ReplyDeleteGrim's head from Billy and Mandy! LOL ! (It's at the rightmost panel of Madmax's comic).
ReplyDeletePoor Predator, even beheading can't shut her up LOL

That was a cute bean. I wonder what the addition of socks would do...
ReplyDeleteI love how Pinkie's nameplate is Pi. LOL
ReplyDeleteAnd people wonder why I don't like beans.
ReplyDelete@Arcane Scroll
ReplyDeleteActually, he doesn't seem to mind.
MY GOD HE GOT GRIM!!! The predator has defeated death itself, which is why Pinkie is still talking even though her head's been mounted on the wall.
ReplyDeleteLayers this comic.
I love the fact that there's a muffin on the newpaper's front, not to mention what's under Pinkie's head and Grim being in there. LOL
ReplyDeleteAhhh, sure is refreshing to get a Madmax comic again. Excellent as always!

I love Jello.
ReplyDeleteHuzzah for the Billy and Mandy reference in the first comic.
ReplyDeleteSince we had a predator comic, now we just need a comic of a facehugger facehugging Trixie and I will be happy.
Fuck you, ya little Mameshibastard.

It's not soylent green, it's soylent bean.

ReplyDelete@Anonymous
ReplyDelete>...And that's how Equestria was fed!

D:
ReplyDeleteFirst panel on the Madmax had me in stitches.
ReplyDeleteAh Mameshiba so cute but so awkwardly truthful.
ReplyDeleteMaybe the Predator should've waited until after he bagged Grim, assuming that would have actually had a different result.
Note to self: next time, use acid blood...
ReplyDeleteThe first comic is win then the Grim skull makes it better.
ReplyDeleteMark!
ReplyDeleteMark!
Mark!
For anyone interested about the Bean thing.

ReplyDeleteThat's interesting, because I was JUST LISTENING TO VOLTAIRE.
Oh, God.
ReplyDeleteOh, God, why is that Fluttershy comic so hilarious?
Fool. That wall will never hold the indomitable party animal that is Pinkie Pie.

ReplyDeleteI believe I speak for everypony when I say... what the hay?!?!?!
ReplyDeleteWait, are you telling me this guy killed the Doctor AND has the Grim Reaper's skull as a souvenir?
ReplyDeleteJesus Fucking Christ.
Is that Grim's Skull from The Grim Adventures of Billy and Mandy?
ReplyDelete@TillsterRulz
ReplyDeleteEeyup. Grim reference's priceless!
Although First comic is quite Horror. I love Pinkie who doesn't stop talking (and saved Applebloom)
ReplyDeleteSecond Lol! but didn't understand the mem or reference.
Third: I don't get it.
Moar Madmax
ReplyDeleteHnnng
Oh dear, Fluttershy is having a Charlton Heston moment. Quick, Someone distract her with something fluffy. What happened at the Gala must not happen again.
ReplyDeleteNote that Apple Bloom thinks the Predator's laser sight is a cutie mark. Poor kid...
ReplyDeleteKill that bean son of a bitch!!!!!
ReplyDeleteThat would be Pinkie Pie, still talking even after she's been beheaded.
ReplyDeleteAnd the second comic, especially the last panel, was a little disturbing.
