So it'll have rainbow dash as the jerk with a heart of gold in a reverse harem and throw in all the girls too? I'm very sure Japan's thought of much worse.
I'm pretty sure it has most of the sterytypical characters. Sportsy, motherly, bookworm, moe, energetic, etc.
5th panel "KAWAII! DESU!" Reminds me of how I once saw a Romeo and Juliet manga in a library. (and then an... aqueintence of mine checked it out before I could, he doesn't even like manga that little...)
BAD TOUCH BAD TOUCH BAD TOUCH BAD TOUCH BAD TOUCH BAD TOUCH BAD TOUCH BAD TOUCH BAD TOUCH BAD TOUCH BAD TOUCH BAD TOUCH BAD TOUCH BAD TOUCH BAD TOUCH BAD TOUCH BAD TOUCH BAD TOUCH BAD TOUCH BAD TOUCH BAD TOUCH BAD TOUCH!!!
Hmm, how many manga have I read with this exact (or very close) scenario....Negima, Hayate the Combat Butler, Pani Poni, Strawberry Panic....MEH! I quit. The list is too long!

Oh, so someone else noticed... I wouldn't have recalled the specific anime, but the character designs looked very familiar. Though the situation can be more described as "generic schoolgirl anime". ^_^
if I ever see twilight say the world chan again I will go and hunt down the nearest weeaboo and punch him in the face, i use to like anime but now i'm sick of it.
Wow, it is both hilarious (just seeing ponies combined with the traditional magna symbols, like the three radiating lines) and heartwarming. I . . . would like to see a whole series of this.
Great job, the two styles mesh together perfectly!
@Dashukta Years of experience reading both western and Japanese has left me with ability to switch reading direction easily on command. It took me like five seconds here too. First I read the top two panels left-to-right because I expected it to be like other comics here... Then I noticed it made more sense Right-to-Left Japanese way. And that's it. Once I'll get going I can read whole comic either direction without any issues with it... Only issues I get when western publisher mirrors manga to be read other way. I believe that comics should be read as closely as how the artist meant it to be read. (Which is also why I also prefer the "effects" to be left untranslated. Like it or not, stylished Japanese Kanji/Hiragana text on the comic is part of the art too. If they need to be translated I prefer the small footnotes.)
...Ok I rambled on a bit too much there. Lovely comic.
This makes me think, what's going to go down when the P-Bomb finally hits Japan? They love cute, they love moe... OH GOD THE DOUJINSHI!!
Since doujinshi in Japan isn't necessarily hentai, just more longer and more involved fan made works like what we get with the short comics and drawfriend stuff now, I think those I'd look forward too.
Awww, who am I kidding? I can't wait for the tidal waves of ponikon, tentacle marelestation and futa-fillies! Come on everypony, clop your hooves together and let's SHOUT! WHOO-HOO!!

Not bad. Need more pony manga
ReplyDeletethis hurts my head to certain degree... ugh
ReplyDeleteWow, that's so delightfully bizarre. Is that a reference to something specific or just manga in general?
ReplyDeleteAzumanga reference?
ReplyDeleteManga in general.
ReplyDeleteAlso great work.
@Daffodil
ReplyDeletePASS IT HERE, MAN
Woah, I though Madmax was pushed off by trolls or something?
ReplyDeleteBeing from a "Western" culture, I always have trouble reading manga. That whole right-to-left thing always throws me off.
ReplyDeleteWell there goes my pulse, anyone a doctor here?
ReplyDeletelol Manga references. But this is really adorable. /)^3^(\
ReplyDeleteInb4 "Kawaii"
Oh hell yes, more of this please Madmax!
ReplyDeleteSo it'll have rainbow dash as the jerk with a heart of gold in a reverse harem and throw in all the girls too? I'm very sure Japan's thought of much worse.

I'd be hoping for a tsundere trixie ^.^

ReplyDeleteThe weaboo in me. This hath satisfied it.
ReplyDelete~Dark~
Such a common manga scene. I love this to pieces!
ReplyDeleteIf Celestia is her sensei, why is she wearing the school uniform? I think Twilight should be saying "senpai" here.
ReplyDeleteThat'd crank the MariMite meter up a bit, too.
Not sure about Twilight, but Celestia looks like someone Osamu Tezuka might have drawn.
ReplyDelete@Dashukta
ReplyDeleteNO WONDER IT DIDN'T MAKE SENSE!!
I forgot that manga was right to left.
@Dashukta
ReplyDeleteOHHHHH!
This makes so much more sense now!
I think she managed to hit at least half the major school girl manga tropes in one page. I hope that was her intention--I don't mean to be insulting!
ReplyDelete>dat last panel

ReplyDeleteDwaaww!
ReplyDeletetotemo kawaii desu~~~!
ReplyDeleteHer style kinda reminds me of Leiji Matsumoto (Galaxy Express 999), with some Azuma Ken thrown in... Hmmm...
ReplyDeleteThis is more of a spoof of manga than an actual manga.
ReplyDeleteCool nonetheless.
Twilestia is the sweetest, cutest couple ever!
ReplyDelete... I don't know how to feel about this.
ReplyDeleteOh well. My opinion doesn't matter anyway lol.
I'm guessing the title is a play on Ah! My Goddess ? :D
ReplyDeleteAnd yeah, I don't expect a schoolteacher would wear seifuku, but maybe that's considered appropriate at Celestia's School for Gifted Fillies . .
(though if it she is supposed to be -senpai, then I'd love to see who the teachers would be!)
And now, totally unrelated, I have the sudden urge to draw Sasami as a pony.
daaaaaaaaaaaaaaawwwwwwwwwwwwwww!

"FUCKING DICKS!!!"
*mumbles to self*
*kids now frozen and staring*
If there's a reference to get I don't think I'm getting it. >_<
ReplyDeleteEyes aren't shojo enough but still neat.

That MLP dating sim seems so much farther away now...
ReplyDeleteIf Celestia wants to be a teacher while wearing the school uniform, she will DECREE IT SO.
ReplyDeleteG4 ponies fit into manga stylings so perfectly /)^.^(\
ReplyDeleteLooking for official MLp:FiM Manga adaptations in the future now.
Madmax, why are you so amazing?
ReplyDeleteOh god not moe, that is why I left /a/ in the first place. Oh well I can tolerate the ponies at the very least.
ReplyDeleteToo cute, gotta scoot~
ReplyDeleteI call Princess Molestia.

Wait, since when do teachers dress in student uniforms?
ReplyDeleteI've never seen anything depict a teacher conforming to school uniforms.

ReplyDeleteWhat the fuck did I just read?
ReplyDelete@BagOfChips Win my good sir, win!
ReplyDeleteUGUUUUUUUUUUUUUUU~ *w*
ReplyDeleteThis was great! More manga, please! :)
ReplyDeleteGod, I can't stand manga but this isn't that bad.
ReplyDeleteI don't know what to think of this.
ReplyDeleteI've seen enough hentai to know where this is going...
ReplyDelete"If Celestia is her sensei, why is she wearing the school uniform? I think Twilight should be saying "senpai" here."
ReplyDeleteI was wondering that too. Is Celestia her teacher or her classmate?
Shouldnt it be "Celestia-senpai" and "Sparkle-chan"? Other than that very good.
ReplyDeletesoon enough tentacles will come to get both twilight and the princess
ReplyDeleteDon't get it.
ReplyDeleteComics are better than mangas, in my opinion.
ReplyDeleteThough this is very well drawn, nice job madmax!
セレスティア先輩!
